I am so tired today! Sam came home last night and asked if I wanted to switch date night to Friday. It's weird for him to have Wednesday and Friday off. It's usually Tuesday and Wednesday's., so date night is always on Tuesdays. So instead of going to see Harry Potter today we are going on Friday. When he got home he asked me if I wanted to go to the Hilltop for a couple of hours, i agreed and we went. he bought me four beer annd Timmy bought me one too. We danced and had alot of fun. We didn't get home until 2am or alittle after, and I have class at 10:30am mon, wed, fri. I think I'm going to drop my 9am class on tuesday and Thursday next semester, cause if getting to class for 10:30am is a challenge sometimes, I don't think I'd ever want to go to one for 9am. I haven't heard any great things about the proff either. I have to finish a webpage for my Historical Reactions class this weekend. I have to write the content and link it all up, it was supposed to be due Friday but he gave the class until Monday to finish it. Which is awesome, b/c I really don't have time to finish it by Friday. I still have to finish a research paper, and write my moot judgement for Friday. I wouldn't have had time tio finish it. It is worth 40% of our final grade, so you can fail the final exam (25%), but if you can make a good web page your o.k. Anywaqy enough ranting....gotta go to my law and charter class....write later....comment!! :)

My biological fathers dad had passed away on Sunday. I took the bus to SJ on Tuesday, mom had called Sam at home and told him to tell me to take the bus down instead of her driving up to get me Wednesday morning. He met me at school, which was very nice. We then rushed home and packed, Sam bought us some pizza for supper. Then we took the bus to SJ, well when I was purchasing my ticket my visa didn't go through right so the guy wrote me up a free ticket. So we got home and mom was at the bus stop waiting for us. We dropped Sam off at his parents house, then we went home. Wednesday, mom and I got up and got ready, went and picked Sam up and went to the funeral parlour. There were all these people I didn't know from a whole in the ground saying "oh, Krista, our little miracle". I smiled and was poliute. Inside I was thinking"what!! you don't even know me!! you didn't even know my name until I introduced myself!!" "OUR" little miracle. Whatever. I did get to see my sister though, which made it worth going home. Living in different cities and having very different schedules doesn't make it easy to see one another. We spent some time after the funeral at Tim Hortons talking about when we were kids and stuff. I'm starting to remember bits and pieces of my child hood in the last year or two. It's nice.I got home and realized that I have a research assignment due tomorrow. I checked my email and my proff, whom I has emailed Monday about missing class for a funeral, and it turned out that she ssaid that I could have an extension and just to let her know if I needed one. I skipped my soc of the family class this morning and Sam and I went to lunch at the Coffee Mill. It was nice. I went to my adult courts class and was walking home with my friend Amy when a guy from the same class pulled over and asked if we wanted a drive. I took him up on the offer and arrived home very dry. It was nice. Anyway I'm going to go work on the research project, and possibly take a bath....mom gave me some nice vanilla bath salts....:)

The puppy went home yesterday, I miss her already. :( I got some x mas shopping done yesterday when mom and debbie came up. We went to Zellers and the Regent mall. I gtot Sam a couple of things and bought Lisa something I think she'll like. I have this Case judgement to do for my Adult Courts class and it is turning out to be much more difficult than I had anticipated, should've known though, it's my ridiculous proff. Oh well. We went to Starbucks though while we were at the mall, and I tried a gingerbread latte and later on a maple latte. Both very nice, mmm...I have so much school work to do, it sucks!! I still have to start my research paper for my classical theory class, but kinda procrastinating.Anyway gotta get some more work done....wrtite later....

Hello all!!! I was looking at my last post and realized that it was from last Tuesday. I had a nice long weekend. My Thursday Adult Courts class was canselled, and I just didn't go to my sociology class, it was just presentations anyway. Then I had Friday, Saturday, and Sunday off, which was a nice break. I worked on a Case comment for my courts class, but after trying to understand a case for abotu 3hours Io finally gave up. We have the options of doing 5 and she'll take the besst 4 out of five, but I'm just going to stick with best 4 out of 4. I've gotten the same mark for the last three, and I wouldn't have done well on this one, so this would've been my lowest (would have been dropped anyway) so I didn't bother typing it up and wating ink for a bad grade. Seemed kind of pointless. My Charter class today it was online b/c Fridays we have online classes (my proff likes to go to PEI on the weekends), but last Friday was cancelled. So really we'll have 2 online classes this week. There are only 20 days left of school this term. It went really fast. I'm glad. Next semester I have some interesting classes. I think I'm going to drop one of them though, The proff is weird. I have to keep her for my modern sociological Theory class, but I think I'll drop her sociology and ecology class. I 'm not to sure if I like the way she teaches. She'll be talking start saying something, but by the end of teh sentence, she has switched theorists or go off in little rants about nothing. She is alright in her reviews for tests. She gives you the questions that will be on the exam, you answer them and your ready for the exam/test. (she gives more than are aon the exam and then picks some 20/30). but still pretty easy. I'll see what my grade is for this class before I make any decisions. I don't like her vioce though. It's unnaturally high and nasal. Lisa (since I know you read this occasionally) is there anything you need or want for Christmas? Let me know, either comment or email me. I want to start my x-mas shopping soon. I think Jackie and I are going to the mall this evening. I wrote to the library about my problems finding articles that implicitly use a classical theorists methodology in the writing, hopefully a librarian will give me some search tips. Anyway I've gotta get going to my class, write later....:)

My moot factum is turning out to be harder thatn I had anticipated. I thought, ok...I just apply the Oakes test...easy enough right?? Wrong!! It turns out to be alittle trickier than that. Any reasonable person can apply the Oakes test, I sonsider my self to be pretty reasonable, but I don't think that I can say tahta the objective of parliament in prohibiting the possesssion of child porn is pressing and substantial.Well I can, but I think "reasonable" means someone within the Criminal justice system. So I think that I have to find cases or something. I'm going to ask her about it after my adult courts class today. She teaches both, charter and courts. I got my review essay back from my Sociology of the family class, I got an A-. Woohoo!! I got a B on the presentation and my essay on it. I think I'm going to try and get this Proff for another class next semester, I like the way she teaches, a little random, but very approachable. someone asked her when our research paper is due (syllabus says November 24th), and she said " when do you want it to be due?" So now it's not due until Decemeber 1st!! Thats a whole extra week to work on it!! I really have to start working on my web essay thing. I haven't looked at anything to do with the Youth Criminal Justice Act, since I wrote my proposal. The next couple of weeks are going to be brutal, lots of work to do. Anyway I'm going to go sdo the reading for my adult courts class, didn't feel like it last night ;) Write Later....

I just realized that it had been a full week since my last post, I've just been checking the comments and then leaving. Killing some time before my Adult Courts class, but time is getting shorter now. We had a guy come in and show us how to use some of the library web resources better in our research. I likes it, it was very helpful, he gave us a booklet and stuff too. I have taken them before, but forgotten along the way some of the tricks, it was nice to get a refresher course of sorts, and this time actually have a booklet to refer to. This week has gone terribl;y slow, I'm glad that it is finally Thursday. My GST check came in Tuesday, so that was nice. Sam and I went to see North Country. I really enjoyed it. It's based on a true story about sexual harrassment in the workplace. It was good to go see it, now that I've learned some things about laws and charter rights. The U.S is alittle different, but still comparable. Some of the States have a three strike law. You get arrested 3 times in your life and you spend the rest of your life in jail! Doesn't matter if your 3rd strike was something stupid, like a speeding ticket, jail for life!! Anyway I gotta get going to my class.....write later....:)
