It's good to be loved! Everybody wanting to know when they get to see me again.....hehe. Well I probably won't be coming to SJ any time soon I work alot. I work 5 days one week and 6 the next and it keeps alternating like that so I don't know. I have the Canada weekend off, but I work on Monday. And Mom and Richard always go away, so I'd be at their house alone, which wouldn't be much fun. I'll have to book some time off or something. I'm doing pretty well at work. Fridays and Saturday's are slower for sales(apparently) so I wasn't expecting to much. I made 4 sales, 2 people made 1 and the same girl got 0. I walked home with Leah in my group and it only took 35-40mins. That's walking up York street from King too. (http://ca.maps.yahoo.com/maps_result?newFL=Use+Address+Below&addr=York&csz=fredericton%2C+new+brunswick&.intl=ca&name=&lat=&lon=&srchtype=a&qty=&new=1&trf=0&getmap=Get+Map) I didn't realize how fast of a walk it was. I was always worrying about the bus schedule. If I can walk up the hill that fast, I can probably walk down it faster. I was taking a bus that got me to kings place 45mins early. I'll just walk on nice days. The girl I was walking with, walks everyday there and back, she was going so fast. I was getting out of breath trying to keep up with her!! That's probably why we were so fast, I wouldn't walk that fast if I was by myself probably. I think I'll make a cake today. I have been craving sweet things the last couple of nights. I think I have a chocolate cake mix...mmmm.....chocolate cake....thanks for the comments guys!! :)

Monday and Tuesday wasn't much better. We were supposed to start on the phones yesterday, but there weren't enough computers available. Amy and I sat next to two people who were taking calls for verizon online. After listening to that for 2 hours and 45minutes our supervisor asked us if we wanted to go home, Amy said yes(she wanted to watch a hockey game), but I said to put me on the phones. Our break was coming up in 15 minutes, so he should've just left me alone until after, but he didn't. My first call was horrible!! One, he put me on phone packages (after listening to internet sales all night), two, my computer froze...so I didn't know what to offer the customer...three, the woman was impatient and started yelling"what's the point of this call?" "what is the purpose?"...wah...wah ...wah! I got so upset!! She was so nasty! Then i had my 15min break to think about my bad call. Thankfully the rest of the night wasn't so bad and it was only 2 1/2 hours, just enough to get my 'feet wet' (hehe). Tonight was really boring. There is a 1-4min wait in between calls. I know....that doesn't sound like much, but when your there 6 hours it adds up. I made 3 Sales on the phone packages today! Two other girls from my group got 3 and the other got none. My last one was at 10:58pm. We are supposed to log off at 11pm, but I was still making a sale, so I didn't get logged off until 11:10pm. Which is nice cause its hard to get the 68 hour bonus when you work nights. I also logged on a couple of minutes early for my breaks. I think I'll get a book or a word find to play tomorrow night. Anyway I should get to bed.....write later......BTW thanks for the nice comment Lisa! :)

I'm pretty sure that my job at connect is not going to be to difficult. We listened in on a monitoring session and most of the time you don't even get to talk to the person you want. The training has sucked though. The trainer is nice, but gets really off topic ALOT. Yesterday we learned nothing, no wiat...we learned how to do a one bill, but only beacause I reminded the trainer that she said she would train us how. Unless you really probe for training, you don't get much. We paired up and did role playing, but she stuck me with the only guy in the class, who told me that he was only staying for the training and then leaving. So...the role playing was no use to me. She hadn't even gone through a full order with us yet, just the individual parts of one. I work the evening shift, so I won't be selling much of the packages (which is the only thing we've learned so far), I'll be selling Verizon online. It's a good deal and high speed is always better anyway. I don't think it will be to tough of a sell. I also make an additional $5 for every order that I place for VOL. I hope the bus schedule is better during the school year, I wouldn't want to take a cab home every night when I'm only working 3 nights and every second Saturday. I've been lucky so far. A girl in my class gets picked up and her boyfriend drives me and another girl home as well as his girlfriend. But, she'll be working days when we get on the phones, so I'll have to ask around to see if any one is driving around where I live. I always have Sunday's off, which is always nice. Sam and I went out to dinner last night, I had a lobster and seafood platter (mmm...) and he had a basket of clams and a poutine (he always gets a poutine when we go out). It's raining in Fredericton again. I hope it stops soon, we've had pretty crappy weather for 3-4 days straight now. I think we will have a boiled ham dinner tonight, he gets off at 4pm so we will still have time to go get some more potatoes. It's easy and tasty, which is one of the best combinations you can get when cooking. I'm going to bake some brownies....write later! :)

I got the job at Connect North America! It doesn't pay $10.50 an hour, that is Accenture call centre. It pays $9.55 after a month on probation. I reapplied at Accenture and I'm going to go to my interview on friday at Lakeview Inns and Suites. The probation lasts a month and I'm not making anything near $9.55. I must say, putting $9.55 on the advertisement for the job is quite decieving. I also will work 11am-7pm every other Saturday. They will give me part time hours during the school year, so that's something I guess. However, after the months probation, if you haven't met your sales quota, attendance, and positve attitude then your on probation for another 2 weeks. I don't know how much I'm going to like doing outbound calls....people can be rude when they are the ones calling you, I can only imagine how rude they can be when your calling them. I'll go tomorrow and see if it's something that I want to do. A guy called me from Intermax water group while I was on the other line with Jackie to ask me if I was still interested in working for them. This would have been based on reservations for water testing (work from home) but your pay would be based on # of reservations only. I got an email from positive health living to be a promotor for two days(june 9&10), but I don't know how much it pays or what the hours are. I'll see if I can do that, work and go to my interview on Friday. I'll be pushing it, but if I can...I will. It is very sunny up here today! Very nice indeed! I think I'll have chicken tonight for supper. hmmmm......chicken and what?.......I'll figure it out. Oh...I'd like to send a thanks out to Sue for the Stiches gift certificate, I got a nice pair of beige dress pants with it the other day. I'm going to go make a coffee....write later...:)

I applied online at Connect North America and a woman called me today. I have an interview on Tuesday at 10:30am. I went to one before and it is a group interview more or less. It's a 5pm-11pm shift for 5 days a week. Not bad for a call centre. I was working until 2-3am at Cendant (which I really didn't like). At least if I get this job I can still have my days open to do stuff. I don't know what the pay is though. It said online that there is a probation period of 3 or 6 months and after that you make $10.50 an hour. It should at least be $8-9 on probation though (hopefully). If I can work less hours, but the same shift, I could even try doing it during the school year. I don't really care to much, just as long as I get back to work soon. I don't know when Sam is getting off, he doesn't write his schedule down anymore. It's raining here today. I hope it stops soon, I'm not fond of rain. We need to go get some groceries soon, it's been awhile. Write later....

My appointment at the employment centre wasn't that great. The girl just looked at my resume, and gave a few tips on how to improve it, but I'm still no closer to a job. I applied at Lakeview Inns and Suites yesterday to be a guest service representative. It's a little farther than I had expected, but still pretty good. Today I have applied for a promotion thing for 2 days. This city sucks for jobs, there are no new jobs....especially not for students who just finished their 3rd year of university. Gizmo came to Fredericton with me when I returned on Wednesday. She doesn't know what to think of the bunny. She doesn't seem to want to hurt Snowball, but gets very anxious and starts whining when she goes around the cage. She got so obsessed with Snowball, that I finally moved her into the bedroom. Gizmo goes over to the door every little while to check to see if she can get in. Crazy!! Snowball goes right up to the cage bars and lets Gizmo look at her, stands up even. Come to think of it....I don't think she's ever seen a bunny before....She probably doesn't understand why she's in a cage. hmmm.....It's been pretty nice in Fredericton the last couple of days. Sam works until 9pm tonight, he's been getting some good shifts at work, he worked an extra 4 hours last night too. Jackie and I are going to go get a tea and go to Zellers when she gets off work at 7pm. She's worked 52 hours this week!! Crazy...I couldn't do that many hours. *Snaps* for Jackie :) I called Jody this morning and he pretty much told me that he wasn't going to try to get it going anymore, companies don't like the new payment system that the Gleaner is using. I told him I was looking for another job then, he said that it was a good idea. I applied at a wack of places in the mall before I went home, but still haven't heard back from anyone. Anyway I think I'm going to go make myself something to drink....maybe a white russian....mmmm.......
