I figured I'd write a quick post, just cause it's been almost a week. I got my women and law critical analysis back the other day, I got an A-!! I handed in my participant observation for my research methods today, hope I did alright on it, but she is so weird in her marking I never know what to expect. Today I'm going to work on my seminar poster that I have to do. I was going to do it on working hazards of farmers working with herbicides and pesticides, but there was absolutely no information or articles written on it, so after searching for two hours, I emailed my professor and asked her if I could change my tpoic, possibly to do witht the labelling of GMO foods (which I had all the research for cause that was my part of the work in my groups seminar). She emailed me back and said that was a good topic and gave me some hints on how to make that topic work for the assignment. I only have 1 week of school left!! I have this poster due on Monday, a women and law assignment due next Friday and my crim theory final assignment due next Monday. Then I work, write a take home exam for women and law and write my research methods exam and I'll be done. My group did our presentation for my Gender Studies class on Tuesday, it went well and I was glad to have it finished. I was walking home from school this afternoon and I seen a girl from my class, we stopped and said hi to each other and she told me that her and her friends sit in the back row of the class, and she didn't get to tell me on Tuesday, but they all thought I'd done a really great job at presenting my part and it was obvious that I had put alot of work into the project. That made my day!! I was smiling the whole way home! :) I skipped that class this morning to sleep in. So, I didn't get a chance to see her present. Well I gotta get some work done on my project....write later....:0)

Last night, while Sam and I were laying in bed, I made a suggestion to him. I'm not to keen on him buying a whole other computer just for his game (as noted before in previous blogs), and so I suggested to him that he could just upgrade mine (he wants a better video card and something else). He was shocked to hear that this was an option. I told him it was pretty silly to buy a new computer when I'll be graduating and won't be using it as much, but he had it in his mind that he was going to get a bigger, better, and faster computer so it never even occurred to him to ask me if he could upgrade mine. Silly man! :) I'm kinda protective of my computer and don't like to download stuff and when his computer buddy was over saying that my computer wasn't any good, I wasn't impressed. I told Sam last night, that I don't play video games on the computer so I wasn't to concerned with buying super duper video cards. Anyway he just go thome and he wants to check to see if I have ddr Ram or SD RAM. The whole point for this post was to mention that mom and I decided that her and Richard are not going to give me half of drivers ed anymore, mom likes to buy present and I'm not sure when I'm going to take it in the new year, so I'd end up spending the money on something else anyway. That's alright though cause I'm just taking it with the cheapest driving school and it's only $499 taxes included. That's for everything too. 28 hours in class, 11 hours driving, and they schedule your driving test and take care of any costs and provide you with a car to drive for the test, not to shabby in my opinion. :) AND I'm pretty sure it's offered next door at the high school, so I won't have far to go for classes and stuff. Anywhoo gotta run, write later..:)

I've been so busy this week I haven't been able to post. Sunday Mom and Susan came up to Freddy to see me. We went to the mall and got some of my x-mas shopping done. It was really nice. Mom bought me a couple of really nice bras and underwear from La Senza and a pair of winter boots at Walmart. We also found a pair of boots that we all ended up liking and inevitable each of us bought a pair. They are knee high black boots that zippper, but also lace up the front. I had bought a pair a long time ago, but they didn't have laces in the front and felt to big. These ones I can make as tight or as loose as I please. We also went into fairweathers and found some nice dressy tank tops for $6 each!! They're really nice, I'm in need of some new ones. Sam is pretty much done. I bought him a package of socks yesterday and I just seen Jamie (guy downstairs) and asked him where he had gotten his dress pants, they were nice. He told me that he bought them at Walmart, but also told me that Sears is having a huge sale on mens dress pants and sweaters as well. He said he had gotten a couple of pairs for $14.95! I think I'll go there and pick up Sam a couple of pairs of pants. And then I'll be done him.... I was checking out my schedule for next term...I dropped both classes with Marilee Reimer (heard really bad things about her) and picked up another two. I picked up sociology of religion (yeah I know) with Sylvia Hale (who I have now and don't mind) and and intro to gerontology with Linda Cassie (who I've heard good things about). My schedule is pretty decent next term. Monday, Wednesday, Friday my classes don't start until 12:30pm and on Tuesday and Thursday my one class starts at 10am. That is the same starting times as this semester. Monday I worked on my book review for my seminar class and read some theory stuff and answered questions. We have a midterm on Friday, but I'm not to worried, he is a fair marker and his questions are reasonable. Yesterday I slept in and didn't go to my Gender Studies class, I'm sure I didn't miss much, it is such a stupid class. Everytime I leave that class I think "there's an hour and twenty minutes of my life I'll never get back, what a waste!" Last night Sam and I were talking about moving and he asked me "who's going to drive the truck when we move?" I told him that I would have my license aby then taking drivers ed soon) and I would. He laughed at me and said "they're tricky to drive." I'm taking a drivers education course and he's never seen me drive, yet he's already doubting my driving skills!! AND we're moving in the summer, when there isn't much traffic in the city. He told me he thought we would get one of our dads to drive all the way up here to drive us around for the day! I'll have my license!! Grrr...... Oh well we'll just have to drive some time together so that he can see that I'm a decent driver. (I have been out driving a couple of times with Richard-I'm not just assuming that I can drive). Road trip!! hehe. Maybe after I get my license we can go for a weekend to PEI or N.S, we had a lot of fun when we went to PEI last time. I think this Christmas will be a good one. Sam and I have our own Christmas tree this year. We bought it when there was a huge blow out sale on all the Christmas stuff last year. Anyway I think I'm going to go make something to eat and watch the Tyra Banks show...I never thought the day would come when I'd ever say that...hehe....chaio!

I've been checking the classifieds recently to see what apartment buildings allow dogs. I even found a list of rental places online. I called them and none of them allow dogs, the best thing that I got was a lady saying she doesn't like to, but if she is desparate some times she does. In September, when our lease ends, I don't think she'll have a probelm finding people. Grr....stupid landlords.....not allowing my nice super little dog!! I put up a post on the ads forum to see if anyone knew of any apartment buildings that allow dogs and one girl wrote that sometimes, even when they say they don't allow dogs, they won't mind a little one, just call anyway. So...I'm no further ahead. The girl that wrote me said that she had litter trained her small dog....I think I'll try that with Gizmo, I kinda tried it when we first got her, ut didn't put much effort into it. I don't think she liked the smell of it, so maybe this time I'll try with unscented litter. There is always apartment listings though, so I'll just keep checking. The girl also said that she found it easier to find landlords who were renting out of houses that would allow dogs, just not in apartment buildings. That wouldn't be so bad though, cause usually they include heat and lights, and some of them include cable as well. Only down fall is that they are usually basement apartments. oh well..... Oh!! I almost forgot , my women and law midterm (that I thought I had made a mistake on) I got back today and I got an A!!! I hadn't made a mistake or if there was one, she didn't notice!! WOOHOO!! I almost have Sam done for christmas. I don't think he checks my blog, but just in case I won't write what I got him. Mom and Richard don't need anything, so mom suggested gift certificates for them. I'm going to get a gift certificate for mom to go get a foot massage and pedicure at some place on Douglas Ave. that she likes and a gift certificate for the Ale house uptown, she said they like to eat there. BTW Susan and Lisa if you guys need or want anything suggestions are always appreciated. I pick up both grandmothers some candles, and I think I'll make Gill's mom a candle gift bag too. I think I'll get Gill a gift thing from the liquer store, she said that she drinks beer, but maybe they have some imported stuff that would be interesting. I was making up my christmas list the other day and I almost added Wayne to it, but then I thought, No....I won't....cause last year I got a 6$ box of pot of gold chocolates...that's it!! We didn't even get the usual $100 bill. I had felt alittle guilty about forgetting to get him something last year...until I opened that. I used to think there were some reliable things in this world!! The sky is blue, the sun is yellow, and Waynes christmas gifts!! :) I am really glad that I don't work this month, I know I've said it before, but I really can't express how much I like it. I'm not gonna do to much today, maybe go see how much echo hats are for Sam. He has a light blue echo hat right now and he wears it constantly. The only problem is that he wears no light blue clothing and it matches nothing!! I hate that hat!! It turns any outfit he wears into an abomination of fashion!! :) So, for Christmas my goal is to buy him a nicer hat, something similar to the blue one in style, but in a very different color. He wears alot of browns and beiges, actually we went jacket shopping for him the other day and he got a really nice dark brown leather coat. It looks awesome. It is going to be a Christmas gift, so he can't wear it yet. Sam should be home soon, he only worked until 3pm I thought. Mom is going to come up to fredericton this Sunday. We are going to do some Christmas shopping for me. There isn't much that I need. But I would like to get a new pair of brown cords and possibly some boots. I was walking up the stairs in holy cross this afternoon to get to my class and a woman passes me on the stairs and said "great jacket" referring to my new one. That brightened up my afternoon a bit. :) Anyway I think I'll print some stuff off for my research methods and do some reading....write later.....btw people comment alittle....just a hey, I read your blog would suffice...:)

I've had a pretty busy week. Tuesday my Women and Gender studies group got some work done on our group project, Tuesday and Wednesday I was working on my women and law midterm, which took forever. Yesterday when I was looking at what I had handed in I found an error, whatever, nothing I can do about it now. Friday morning I took the bus downtown to get my stuff from Lisa's house. We had gone out on Saturday and I left some stuff at her place. We had coffee and talked for a bit before I had to catch a bus back uptown for my class. Friday afternoon, Jackie and I took a walk over to the Regent mall after grabbing a tea from tims. We both bought a snazzy jacket. I bought a jean one and hers is green, it's got a little bit of furr around it, but it looks good when we put them on. I also bought a pair of brown boots that match my purse and new jacket really well. I wore them yesterday and they are fantastically comfortable. I almost have Sam's christmas shopping done. I still want to pick up a couple of things, but he's easy to buy for, so it didn't take long. I picked up some candles and stuff for my both grandmothers. Saturday Sam treated us to lunch at his work. I had the marinated vege and chicken foccacia and he had spagetti and meatballs. I also worked on my gender studies essay yesterday, it's almost done. Then I called Sam and told him to meet me at Dooleys after work. It was nice, we had a couple of beer and played a couple games of pool. It isn't cheap to use the pool tables. It would be cheaper to go to a bar and put to dollar or two in and play. We played for less than an hour and it cost $9.25! Oh well, we know better for next time, the beer was cheap anyway. Today I'm gonna work on my essay and try to start my crititcal analysis for another class. I also called and set up an appointment for Anne and I to get our pictures done. I'm glad that I called today! They were really booked up! The earliest I could get was December 12th, 2006 at 11:20am and 11:40am. At least we'll have them done before Christmas. We just have to go rent the thing with the school colors on it to put on. I think it'll be a good day, it's early enough in the day that I can still go to work in the evening too. I think I'll go get my hair cut a week before to make sure I like it and can do something with it. I think I'll splurge and get my hair cut at the hairdressers in the Fredericton mall. I'm never happy with the cut that they do next door. The girl there only cuts one layer of your hair!! She pins it up, cuts a bit, un pins it and thinks she's done! I also have to go meet my gender studies group at 6:30pm to work on our project, so I better stopp posting and get writing......write later......:)
