Today I was slow getting started on my essay, but now that I have started I'm already done 3 pages, hand written, it only has to be 5 pages. Double spaced with 1.25 margins. This is great. It's a research paper, and being a first year student I can't really make any statements or opinions yet (according to my proff), so I'm just quoting the f*ck out of it. I put it into my own words a little, but really it is just a lot of quotes. Its fantabulous! I wish more proffs would assign papers like this, I mean it was a lot of work to pick a topic, find articles and figure out how to use them, but after that it is all down hill. I don't have a lot of papers though, some people have had proffs that give them essays for every class. I haven't wrote any essays for sociology (except for the midterm, that was an essay question), this is the first one in crim, haven't wrote any for economics, only a few for psych (but 2 of them were for bonus points last term), but a whole bunch for philosophy. But I like my proff, hate writing the essays, but he'll go over your draft with you before you hand it in and tell you where to add stuff or take stuff out. Although I'm not looking forward to writing my next essay, 10 freaking pages. Thats just ridiculous. Last semester I had him and we had a 10 page paper due at the end of the term too. I only wrote 7 pages and I got 100%, so maybe he'll take less in this class to. Anyway going to get back to writing my essay, write later maybe.
