Hello All!! I had a very merry christmas this year. It was really nice to go to SJ and see the family. I received alot of really nice gifts this year, thanks alot! :) Gizmo is in Freddy with me right now. She was itching alot so mom and I took her to the vet yesterday. Turns out we were bathing her to much. The baths stripped her skin of all the protective oils that a dog needs. We got her some pills and new shampoo. Luckily, we had a free visit, so we didn't have to pay to see the vet. I bought some new belts today when I went to Zellers. The one I bought at the leather shop in the Fredericton mall busted up, then the owner gave me a new (better) one to replace it. That one tore in half while I was home! So I went and looked at Zellers and found a black and brown one that fit nicely and will probably last longer. I used a gift certificate that Sam had given me for Suzy Sheir and bought a black suit on Boxing day. Gizmo and Snowball are getting along nicely. Gizmo seems to be tired or something, maybe it's from the meds she is taking. She would hardly walk over to Zellers with me. She has been snoozing all afternoon and evening too. Hmm.... We arrived in SJ on Friday and went to our parents homes. Mom and Richard got some lobster on Saturday, mmm....lobster....it was awesome! Sam and I went over to his parents house for Christmas eve. They had a big family get together. Barb had made a whole wack of trays of food and sweets. She gave Sam and I a whole tray of sweets to bring to my parents house with us, we ate the whole thing that night! We were at my parents house for Christmas day. We opened our presents when we got up and Sue, Darren and Cole came over alittle later to open their gifts. Cole just ripped through his! Mom made an awesome Turkey dinner on Christmas day. It was really nice, the whole family was there. Boxing day, mom, Sue, Cole and I went over to Nanny Lawrences house in the afternoon to see her and grampy and to drop off presents. Nanny bought Sam and I some nice things. She gave us some storage containers, a silver clock, and some cute tea pot shaped ornaments. Anyway I gotta do some dishes up...write later...:)

I found out what was going onwithn Snowball. She's not sick. She was under the end table necause I had used her bamboo basket to block off th4e area behind the dryer where she likes to jump. She likes eating the bamboo basket. She's been back there picking at the basket all along!! Silly rabbit!! I have to get some stuff ready for when she comes to SJ with us for Christmas. I think I'll go and get her some treats for Christmas and just cause she is a nice bunny. I'm very excited about Christmas this year, I got everyone something that they either needed or wanted and told me. I also got some awesome deals on some of the items, because parts of the Fredericton mall closed down and had lots of closing out sales. Sam has got to go over to the pet store and get some feeding tabs for his fish tanks. He works 7:20am-7:30pm on Thursdays. I hated working 12 hour shifts when I did it at the Hilltop, but he doesn't mind, he gets a couple of them every week. I left work early last night. I told my supervisor I wasn't feeling well, but that was only a little part of it. We were calling in texas and they are 4 hours before us, so even though we were calling at 8pm, it was only 4pm there and no one was home. So, we were just getting alot of answering machines, which was really boring. The people in Texas are very nice though when you do get to talk to them. They all thanked me for calling, saying that they appreciated my call but weren't interested in the phone package, and to have a merry Christmas. I made 2 sales anyway. The first one I made on my 5th call of the night. I had worked an extra 45mins that day and 49 mins the day before, so leaving early still didn't hurt my overall hours. Today I'm just sitting back and relaxing, I think Jackie has today off as well, so I'm going to give her a call and we'll hang out for awhile. Anyway gotta go shower, write later.....:)

I went to work on Monday and won 15$ when my supervisor drew my work number, and won 15$ yesterday for having top sales on my team for the night. I work tonight and then I'm off until January 3 or 4th. I checked my greades online today and I did great this semester. I got the highest GPA I've ever gotten!! Last year I ended the year with a 3.14 gpa, this semester I got a 3.48!! Woohoo!! I am so excited. Sam was at work and so was mom, so I ran over and told Pat, she gave me a big hug and congratulated me. I'm just sitting here, in my own happy bubble, it's great! I gotta go make something to eat for work, write later! :)

Jingle Bells, Jingle Bells, Jingle all the way!!.....One week until Christmas! I am so excited. I work today, tomorrow and Wednesday, I'm taking Thursday off and we are going to SJ Friday. I have to call mom and check to see what time she is coming to get us. Snowball has been acting kinda weird. When I let her out of her cage for a hop she just goes under the end table and hides in the corner by the couch. She usually races around the livingroom like a nut, but the last two days....hmm.....I hope she's not sick. She's still eating her food and stuff so I don't know what's going on with her. I wonder when the marks have to be in? I keep checking, but so far nothing. Which is rather diappointing, I figured they would be in by now.Sam got to sleep in today, since he didn't have to work until 11am, so he stayed up until 4am this morning playing his game!! I went to bed at 1am like usual. I'm feeling well rested and alot better. I still have a cough and stuffy nose, but no headache anymore. Anyway I'll write later,.....:)

I felt alot better on Friday, so I went into work. I did well enough, got 4 sales. They sent everyone home early at about 10:20pm. I start early and then leave early for the bus, so I didn't loose any time anyway. They have been sending us home early alot lately. Last Friday I only worked 4 hours before they told us we could leave. I just don't feel like going in today, it's the day shifts Saturday to work, but I was going to go in to make up some of the hours I missed in November, except I don't feel like it now and I'm the only one who seems to care about making up hours. They have gotten kinda weird about working hours. One day supervisor told me I couldn't start early (like I do every day), so I had to run all the way to the bottom floor to ask Kevin, he said I could, so then I had to go back up to the third floor and tell the supervisor it was o.k. Charlene, my supervisor, told me if I ever have any trouble working different shifts, just say that she told me I could, that would get me further than anything else. I don't mind working there, it's really easy, and alot of the time I talk to nice enough people. Yesterday I called a guy and sold him a phone package, he told me he was blind and all about his brother helping him out. He was very nice. I'm going to work on Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday, Charlene said they were going to send people home early on Thursday, so I don't think I'll bother going in. The centre is closed from December 23-January 2nd. So I don't have to start work as soon as I get back to Fredericton, that'll be nice. I'm all done all of my Christmas shopping, woohoo! I am really excited about this Christmas. I think it will be very enjoyable. Snowball is doing great!! I think she will enjoy going to SJ with me as well. Her and Gizmo get along nicely. Anyway I'm going to go get another coffee and give Jackie a call......:)

I am SO sick! It hurts to breath, move, cough, and especially to talk. I'm not going into work today. I wouldn't make any sales anyway, cause when I do talk I sound like some sort of raspy monster, then I would loose my voice and be sent home anyway, so why bother? I went and bought some Buckleys cough and cold stuff, but it doesn't seem to be having as good of an effect on my sickness as the other pills I was taking, so I think I'll switch back and buy some more. It's to bad that I got sick, cause it would be nice to go into work and make up the hours I need and money of course. Hopefully I'll be feeling better by tomorrow. We put up our Christmas tree last night, and by 'we' I mean I did, Sam really wasn't in the Christmas mood, but I was, so he helped a little. It's just a little tree, so it didn't take very long. (unlike the gynormous trees that Lisa and Anthony get, how long doe sit take you to decorate?).Anyway I'm gonna go take a shower, put some clean P.J's on and go to bed. Write later :(

Anne and I went and got our grad pictures taken this morning. They turned out nice. I'm growing my hair out and I just had it trimmed by Sue not that long ago, so I just straightened it out and put some clips in, I thought it looked nice. Anne said that she was glad that I wore my hair down and it looked good. It was a really good price for the pictures. To get them done by "Harper" studios at school it's 40$ just to sit in front of the guy. Anne and I got the same package and we could pick how many wallets, 5 x 7's, 4x 6's, etc that we wanted. We got 3 poses and 7 sheets of prints to make into what ever combination we wanted, and it was only $34!! For one of Anne's poses we just did a wacky one with the two of us together. We are going to go pick them up tomorrow probably, if not, then maybe after Christmas when both of our schedules are less hectic. I made sure that I got one 5x7 in black and white for mom (well the black and white looked funny, but it's like an antique kinda look, I think it will still be alright). I'm almost done my Christmas shopping, hard to believe it's less than two weeks away. Gill and I decided to not exchange presents this year, cause neither of us needed anything, instead we are going to get together after Christmas, buy each other one of the ridiculously large drinks at Mikes to start and just have a good drinking night, which will result (hopefully) in us both getting ridiculously drunk!:) Gill recently quit work at the CIBC, she wasn't going to get any break for Christmas, and it really is the only time she gets to see them, so she quit. She said she was getting sick of the hours (nights) she was working and had saved up enough money to get by for awhile. So....I'm sitting here...not doing a heck of alot, I have a cold and my throat is really sore...so I'm debating on whether to go into work tonight or not (I usually work Wed and Fri, but I need to make up hours so I've been going in on my days off). I really should decide soon, I don't know if I need to call and tell them I won't be in (cause it is my day off??hmm...). I'm very excited for this Christmas, I don't know why, but I am. We should put up our Christmas tree today while I'm home and Sam is off today!!!! That is exactly what we'll do!! :) dashing through the snow...ba..da..bup..bup...bup.. bah..!! I'm gonna go get him right now!! Happy holidays everyone!! :)

Sorry about being a slack updater. I've been working lots to make up for the hours I missed in November. Friday and Saturday were good days at work. Saturday I won a chocolate bar and some mini kisses for making sales. Sam and I rented the movie "superman" Friday night and went and had subs at subway (which made no sense at all cause we had just bought groceries and sandwich stuff). It was a good movie, lots of action and neat stunts. Today Gill and I got together and just ended up hanging out here and talking for a couple of hours. We've decided to buy each other one of the ridiculously large drinks at Mikes after Christmas as a belated Christmas gift. BTW what is your blog thing that you write on Gill? Do I need to sign up and become a member to view your posts? For future reference to any of my blog viewers, my number is (506) 454-5431. I wrote to one of my professors about handing in an assignment a couple of hours late. It's due at 9am on Tuesday, but Anne and I are going to go get our grad pictures done that day and I asked if it was o.k to drop it off when I was done with the pictures, she wrote me back and said it was fine to do that. Anne has an exam that day, so we're just going to share a cab down and back, but go to the school for her exam and for me to hand in the assignment, so it works out really well. I'm goin got finish writing the assignment tomorrow. I kinda have one part of it done already, it's for a woman and law class, and I already wrote a paper on Divorce law for a gender studies class, so I'm gonna tweek that and use it. :) The other question we can do is on sexual assault laws, and it just so happens that I have done some work on sexual assault for other classes and for this one as well. See....in second year, when I decided to do a minor in crim, I would always do any assignments on sexual assault (its always offered as a choice)...so that when we were assigned things...I already had research and essays written about the topic. Later, when I decided I would do a major in crim, this continued to help me. For example...in my crime and the media class that I took this summer, guess what topic I did for my major assignment? Sexual assault, I made an entire webpage in one day! Sam and I went over to Boston Pizza for supper tonight. I had told him I would treat him to supper on Monday as a belated Birthday gift. We went today instead. The food was pretty good, but I think we both enjoy eating at Smitty's better though. Well I'm going to go let the bunny out for a hop (thanks for agreeing with me on the Snowballs greatness Sue!!) Write later...:)

I had my qualitative research methods exam today. I figured the final exam would be ridiculously difficult because my professor (Dawne Clarke) said that the midterm was to easy and that she would have to make the final harder. It was no harder!! I'm glad I read the "Dealing Crack" book yesterday, cause 60% of the exam was on that. Yes the book is called dealing crack. Crack is a ridiculously addictive drug, thankfully it didn't last long, wasn't to popular after people seen the effects it had on a person. I only have one more thing due, on the 12th of December, then I'm done!! Woohoo!! The thing that is due, isn't going to be that hard to write anyway. I'm going to go out with Jackie this evening before I meet Sam to get groceries, we are all out of almost everything, we both have been so busy though, we just didn't have time to go get anything. We went to Sams staff party on Monday. It was really nice. It was at the Elks club. The owner had booked a DJ and ordered six or seven different kinds of pizza (he owns a pizza delight, KFC, and some other restaurants other than Mikes), we got drink tickets to. Sam decided to work on Monday, so he got 2 extra drink tickets too. They had an auction type thing with monopoly money. We bid and got a certificate for a pizza and garlic cheese fingers, 3 movie rentals at jumbo video, a 40$ gift certificate for Marks work warehouse, and two quarter chicken dinners at Swiss Chalet! Not bad for monopoly money! Actually, Sam went to Marks work warehouse yesterday and got himself a new pair of jeans and bought me a pair of awesome slippers!(I always steal his, cause they are big and floppy and have a nice bottom) My new slippers are better than his slippers!! :) We seen Jackie's boyfriend Mike there as well, he bid on stuff too, hmm....I wonder what he got? Sam got a cell phone for his birthday when he went home to see his mom on her birthday. He doesn't need one, he's here or at work...but he wants to pay for it so.....can't tell him any different...;) Snowball is doing great being a bunny, she is very friendly...if I sit on the floor (to block her from going under the end table) she comes over and sniffs me, and hops onto my lap, same thing when I sit on the couch. Tomorrow is Sam's 27th birthday! I work Friday and then he works on Saturday and Sunday, but I'm going to take him out to dinner on Monday. Oh I didn't write about this, but I was talking to Gill over a week ago (on msn) and we made plans to have a "Gill & Krista" day this Sunday. It will be nice to see her, I hardly ever do now that she is done school and lives down the hill. I was thinking about it, and she is the friend that I have known the longest out of all my friends. (13 1/2 years!). That's crazy. We don't see each other very often, but I still consider her to be a good friend. Anyway I gotta get ready, Jackie will be calling soon, write later :)

I was feeling so sad cause no one had commented on any of my posts for the past month. I went in and checked my comments and for some reason I had to approve them before they got published. Now there are a wack of comments and I don't feel neglected!! :) I haven't read any of them yet, but still just to know they are there is great. I'll read all of them after this post. I don't know why I needed to approve them first, I've never had to do that before, I'll keep checking to see if I need to in the future. I work, so I gotta get ready...but keep the comments coming!! :)

I figured I'd write a quick post, just cause it's been almost a week. I got my women and law critical analysis back the other day, I got an A-!! I handed in my participant observation for my research methods today, hope I did alright on it, but she is so weird in her marking I never know what to expect. Today I'm going to work on my seminar poster that I have to do. I was going to do it on working hazards of farmers working with herbicides and pesticides, but there was absolutely no information or articles written on it, so after searching for two hours, I emailed my professor and asked her if I could change my tpoic, possibly to do witht the labelling of GMO foods (which I had all the research for cause that was my part of the work in my groups seminar). She emailed me back and said that was a good topic and gave me some hints on how to make that topic work for the assignment. I only have 1 week of school left!! I have this poster due on Monday, a women and law assignment due next Friday and my crim theory final assignment due next Monday. Then I work, write a take home exam for women and law and write my research methods exam and I'll be done. My group did our presentation for my Gender Studies class on Tuesday, it went well and I was glad to have it finished. I was walking home from school this afternoon and I seen a girl from my class, we stopped and said hi to each other and she told me that her and her friends sit in the back row of the class, and she didn't get to tell me on Tuesday, but they all thought I'd done a really great job at presenting my part and it was obvious that I had put alot of work into the project. That made my day!! I was smiling the whole way home! :) I skipped that class this morning to sleep in. So, I didn't get a chance to see her present. Well I gotta get some work done on my project....write later....:0)

Last night, while Sam and I were laying in bed, I made a suggestion to him. I'm not to keen on him buying a whole other computer just for his game (as noted before in previous blogs), and so I suggested to him that he could just upgrade mine (he wants a better video card and something else). He was shocked to hear that this was an option. I told him it was pretty silly to buy a new computer when I'll be graduating and won't be using it as much, but he had it in his mind that he was going to get a bigger, better, and faster computer so it never even occurred to him to ask me if he could upgrade mine. Silly man! :) I'm kinda protective of my computer and don't like to download stuff and when his computer buddy was over saying that my computer wasn't any good, I wasn't impressed. I told Sam last night, that I don't play video games on the computer so I wasn't to concerned with buying super duper video cards. Anyway he just go thome and he wants to check to see if I have ddr Ram or SD RAM. The whole point for this post was to mention that mom and I decided that her and Richard are not going to give me half of drivers ed anymore, mom likes to buy present and I'm not sure when I'm going to take it in the new year, so I'd end up spending the money on something else anyway. That's alright though cause I'm just taking it with the cheapest driving school and it's only $499 taxes included. That's for everything too. 28 hours in class, 11 hours driving, and they schedule your driving test and take care of any costs and provide you with a car to drive for the test, not to shabby in my opinion. :) AND I'm pretty sure it's offered next door at the high school, so I won't have far to go for classes and stuff. Anywhoo gotta run, write later..:)

I've been so busy this week I haven't been able to post. Sunday Mom and Susan came up to Freddy to see me. We went to the mall and got some of my x-mas shopping done. It was really nice. Mom bought me a couple of really nice bras and underwear from La Senza and a pair of winter boots at Walmart. We also found a pair of boots that we all ended up liking and inevitable each of us bought a pair. They are knee high black boots that zippper, but also lace up the front. I had bought a pair a long time ago, but they didn't have laces in the front and felt to big. These ones I can make as tight or as loose as I please. We also went into fairweathers and found some nice dressy tank tops for $6 each!! They're really nice, I'm in need of some new ones. Sam is pretty much done. I bought him a package of socks yesterday and I just seen Jamie (guy downstairs) and asked him where he had gotten his dress pants, they were nice. He told me that he bought them at Walmart, but also told me that Sears is having a huge sale on mens dress pants and sweaters as well. He said he had gotten a couple of pairs for $14.95! I think I'll go there and pick up Sam a couple of pairs of pants. And then I'll be done him.... I was checking out my schedule for next term...I dropped both classes with Marilee Reimer (heard really bad things about her) and picked up another two. I picked up sociology of religion (yeah I know) with Sylvia Hale (who I have now and don't mind) and and intro to gerontology with Linda Cassie (who I've heard good things about). My schedule is pretty decent next term. Monday, Wednesday, Friday my classes don't start until 12:30pm and on Tuesday and Thursday my one class starts at 10am. That is the same starting times as this semester. Monday I worked on my book review for my seminar class and read some theory stuff and answered questions. We have a midterm on Friday, but I'm not to worried, he is a fair marker and his questions are reasonable. Yesterday I slept in and didn't go to my Gender Studies class, I'm sure I didn't miss much, it is such a stupid class. Everytime I leave that class I think "there's an hour and twenty minutes of my life I'll never get back, what a waste!" Last night Sam and I were talking about moving and he asked me "who's going to drive the truck when we move?" I told him that I would have my license aby then taking drivers ed soon) and I would. He laughed at me and said "they're tricky to drive." I'm taking a drivers education course and he's never seen me drive, yet he's already doubting my driving skills!! AND we're moving in the summer, when there isn't much traffic in the city. He told me he thought we would get one of our dads to drive all the way up here to drive us around for the day! I'll have my license!! Grrr...... Oh well we'll just have to drive some time together so that he can see that I'm a decent driver. (I have been out driving a couple of times with Richard-I'm not just assuming that I can drive). Road trip!! hehe. Maybe after I get my license we can go for a weekend to PEI or N.S, we had a lot of fun when we went to PEI last time. I think this Christmas will be a good one. Sam and I have our own Christmas tree this year. We bought it when there was a huge blow out sale on all the Christmas stuff last year. Anyway I think I'm going to go make something to eat and watch the Tyra Banks show...I never thought the day would come when I'd ever say that...hehe....chaio!

I've been checking the classifieds recently to see what apartment buildings allow dogs. I even found a list of rental places online. I called them and none of them allow dogs, the best thing that I got was a lady saying she doesn't like to, but if she is desparate some times she does. In September, when our lease ends, I don't think she'll have a probelm finding people. Grr....stupid landlords.....not allowing my nice super little dog!! I put up a post on the ads forum to see if anyone knew of any apartment buildings that allow dogs and one girl wrote that sometimes, even when they say they don't allow dogs, they won't mind a little one, just call anyway. So...I'm no further ahead. The girl that wrote me said that she had litter trained her small dog....I think I'll try that with Gizmo, I kinda tried it when we first got her, ut didn't put much effort into it. I don't think she liked the smell of it, so maybe this time I'll try with unscented litter. There is always apartment listings though, so I'll just keep checking. The girl also said that she found it easier to find landlords who were renting out of houses that would allow dogs, just not in apartment buildings. That wouldn't be so bad though, cause usually they include heat and lights, and some of them include cable as well. Only down fall is that they are usually basement apartments. oh well..... Oh!! I almost forgot , my women and law midterm (that I thought I had made a mistake on) I got back today and I got an A!!! I hadn't made a mistake or if there was one, she didn't notice!! WOOHOO!! I almost have Sam done for christmas. I don't think he checks my blog, but just in case I won't write what I got him. Mom and Richard don't need anything, so mom suggested gift certificates for them. I'm going to get a gift certificate for mom to go get a foot massage and pedicure at some place on Douglas Ave. that she likes and a gift certificate for the Ale house uptown, she said they like to eat there. BTW Susan and Lisa if you guys need or want anything suggestions are always appreciated. I pick up both grandmothers some candles, and I think I'll make Gill's mom a candle gift bag too. I think I'll get Gill a gift thing from the liquer store, she said that she drinks beer, but maybe they have some imported stuff that would be interesting. I was making up my christmas list the other day and I almost added Wayne to it, but then I thought, No....I won't....cause last year I got a 6$ box of pot of gold chocolates...that's it!! We didn't even get the usual $100 bill. I had felt alittle guilty about forgetting to get him something last year...until I opened that. I used to think there were some reliable things in this world!! The sky is blue, the sun is yellow, and Waynes christmas gifts!! :) I am really glad that I don't work this month, I know I've said it before, but I really can't express how much I like it. I'm not gonna do to much today, maybe go see how much echo hats are for Sam. He has a light blue echo hat right now and he wears it constantly. The only problem is that he wears no light blue clothing and it matches nothing!! I hate that hat!! It turns any outfit he wears into an abomination of fashion!! :) So, for Christmas my goal is to buy him a nicer hat, something similar to the blue one in style, but in a very different color. He wears alot of browns and beiges, actually we went jacket shopping for him the other day and he got a really nice dark brown leather coat. It looks awesome. It is going to be a Christmas gift, so he can't wear it yet. Sam should be home soon, he only worked until 3pm I thought. Mom is going to come up to fredericton this Sunday. We are going to do some Christmas shopping for me. There isn't much that I need. But I would like to get a new pair of brown cords and possibly some boots. I was walking up the stairs in holy cross this afternoon to get to my class and a woman passes me on the stairs and said "great jacket" referring to my new one. That brightened up my afternoon a bit. :) Anyway I think I'll print some stuff off for my research methods and do some reading....write later.....btw people comment alittle....just a hey, I read your blog would suffice...:)

I've had a pretty busy week. Tuesday my Women and Gender studies group got some work done on our group project, Tuesday and Wednesday I was working on my women and law midterm, which took forever. Yesterday when I was looking at what I had handed in I found an error, whatever, nothing I can do about it now. Friday morning I took the bus downtown to get my stuff from Lisa's house. We had gone out on Saturday and I left some stuff at her place. We had coffee and talked for a bit before I had to catch a bus back uptown for my class. Friday afternoon, Jackie and I took a walk over to the Regent mall after grabbing a tea from tims. We both bought a snazzy jacket. I bought a jean one and hers is green, it's got a little bit of furr around it, but it looks good when we put them on. I also bought a pair of brown boots that match my purse and new jacket really well. I wore them yesterday and they are fantastically comfortable. I almost have Sam's christmas shopping done. I still want to pick up a couple of things, but he's easy to buy for, so it didn't take long. I picked up some candles and stuff for my both grandmothers. Saturday Sam treated us to lunch at his work. I had the marinated vege and chicken foccacia and he had spagetti and meatballs. I also worked on my gender studies essay yesterday, it's almost done. Then I called Sam and told him to meet me at Dooleys after work. It was nice, we had a couple of beer and played a couple games of pool. It isn't cheap to use the pool tables. It would be cheaper to go to a bar and put to dollar or two in and play. We played for less than an hour and it cost $9.25! Oh well, we know better for next time, the beer was cheap anyway. Today I'm gonna work on my essay and try to start my crititcal analysis for another class. I also called and set up an appointment for Anne and I to get our pictures done. I'm glad that I called today! They were really booked up! The earliest I could get was December 12th, 2006 at 11:20am and 11:40am. At least we'll have them done before Christmas. We just have to go rent the thing with the school colors on it to put on. I think it'll be a good day, it's early enough in the day that I can still go to work in the evening too. I think I'll go get my hair cut a week before to make sure I like it and can do something with it. I think I'll splurge and get my hair cut at the hairdressers in the Fredericton mall. I'm never happy with the cut that they do next door. The girl there only cuts one layer of your hair!! She pins it up, cuts a bit, un pins it and thinks she's done! I also have to go meet my gender studies group at 6:30pm to work on our project, so I better stopp posting and get writing......write later......:)

I got my crim theory midterm back today. I got a 94%!! Woohoo! I finished writing my women and law midterm. I think I did well enough on it. I've had the professor before and she isn't to rigid in her marking, unlike some professors (Dawne Clarke comes to mind). I'm really glad that I don't have to work this month. I have my midterm due tomorrow, then I have to work on a critical ananlysis and an essay. Then after that I have a book review to do and study for another midterm. I also have to do a participant observation in there somewhere. Get this, this is for my research methods class, and we have to go somewhere public, no to busy though (cause we can't watch everyone), and observe a person or small group of people for a full hour. We have to note everything about them, how they are dressed, what they are doing, how they appear to be (upset, happy, angry, confused, etc.) . I don't know about any of you, but if I were out somewhere and I seen someone off in a corner watching me and taking notes, I'd be really creeped out, I wouldn't stick around for an hour!! But she thinks this is a feasible assignment, so I'll do my best. Then after that I have a final assignment to work on for a class. I also have to book a time for Anne and I to go get our pictures done and work alot to make up my hours for this month. I think I'll call them right now. We are going to go get our hair done as well. It should be a good day. I better get off the computer though, I've been using it all day today to work on my midterm and now writing a blog, Sam is probably getting pretty ancy waiting to use the computer. I think he's over there burning something right now........ooooo.....that's not good......write later...

I skipped my second class so that I could study for my reserch methods midterm. It is my third class of the day and they are right in a row. My professor is such a nut. Tuesday when someone brought up our midterm and asked about the format and what would we would be resposible for. She said "oh, well I haven't written it yet and I never do reviews, then gave us a vague idea of what the format might be." She expects awesome projects, papers, and tests, from the class but never tells us what she wants- she just gives these vague explanantions of what she wants and then chooses to waste the entire next class talking about all the mistakes that the class made. I think I've studied what I need to, but who knows with her. I figured I'd write a quick blog before I study again. The class isn't until 1pm. Tonight is our movie night, Anne, Jackie and I are going to go see the movie flicka (I think). I do believe that we are also going to hang out for a bit either before or after the movie. It should be alot of fun. I worked last night, made 5 sales, studied, and took calls. I am a great multi tasker!! :) I think I'll start doing that more often, instead of just reading novels at work I'll read texts and class notes. I think it will be nice when I'm all graduated and done with school for awhile anyways. I might take something at community college in a couple years, maybe a human resources program or something. But for the time being I'm just looking forward to graduating. I think I'll check online at the government website to see if there are any new job opportunities for upcoming graduates. They put new ones out all the time (I think). Anyway gotta chekc my emails and get back to studying, write later....

Hey!! I slept in today and I'm feeling great. So....I went to go meet my seminar group at 12pm this afternoon and no one was there. None of them. I had actually written to a guy in my group that I was goint ot be 15-20mins late and to let the other group members know. He said he would. I don't know why he would say that he would if we weren't going to meet?! But whatever! I think we are going to meet before our presentation in front of tim horton's, but I can't get ahold of anyone, cause we only exchanged email addresses and not actual phone numbers. I'm done my part of the project and I worked really hard on my part. I really hope that the others pull their own weight. I would hate to get a worse grade just because they didn't do their parts. One guy said that he wanted to tell the class that he welcomed their input and wanted an open discussion of ideas. I said that it was a good idea, but now that I've worked with him, I think it's just because he doesn't want to prepare much and is hoping a discussion will make up for his slacking. Oh well, at least this will be my last year of having to do 'group projects'. If I have a job where group things are a part I'm sure it would be facilitated to each member who is responsible for what, and they would be judged on completion of their own task. I'm hoping. I wonder if my crim theory professor will have any of the midterms marked by tomorrow. I'm hoping he will, it would be nice to get back a good grade (I think) before going to present something in front of people. I just checked my email account, still nothing from the people I emailed. Whatever....come to think of it I also have a group project to do in my gender studies class. One girl in my group is so mean and bitter about everything. She looks like there is something permanently foul smelling under her nose. She is so snobby. She kept talking about a project where she did all the work and her other group members did nothing.....wine...wine...wine....she probably wouldn't let anyone put in any ideas, she's such a control freak. I am not looking forward to trying to work with her. She said that she told the proff that the other group members did nothing, they got marked really bad and she got a really good grade. If she does anything like that with our group I'll go to the proff and tell her I don't want to work with her and would feel more comfortable doing my own project, with no other members. This group work thing, is just a bullshit way for professors to have to mark less!! That's all it is, like we aren't paying enough to have our work evaluated independantly of others?! These group presentations seminar things are what we are doing for the rest of the year, with one book review. (for my seminar class) Then, after my month of doing work for school, I have to make up hours at connect and somewhere in there I have to find time to do some christmas shopping!! Anyway gotta go do some readings.....write later.......

I just wrot emy criminological theory midterm and I did awesome!! I knew all the stuff that he asked us. I had studies like crazy las tnight. I worked Wednesday (read 5 articles for my gender studies class) and still mae 4 sales! Then I came home and printed off my interview, I was able to add more to it, when I listened to it over again there were a couple of words that I had missed and a couple of ummms....etc. Yesterday I went to class, handed in my portfolio to the proff and got ready to start discussing the 5 articles I had taken the time to read. Well it turned out that hardly anyone in the class had read them so she went off on a rant about something-work weeks and stuff in different countries (for the whole hour and 20 mins!!). I don't know what that has to do with womens and gender studies, but there must have been some kind of point in there that myself and many others missed. Whatever. Then I went to my women and law class. I had read the article for this class in the morning and before my gender studies class, I was prepared again. She asked how many people had read it, again only a few. So she taught the class as if we all hadn't read it and made it a complete waste of my time to have gotten up early and read it. Grr......Then I went to my research methods class, we handed in our interview transcripts. No one had 40-65 pages, she is on crack!! I had 15-16 pages, the other girl at my table had the dame and Rose (at the table) had 21. She handed back our research questions, bitched about how poorly everyone did, even though she didn't teach us how to do one before it was due, just expected we knew how. After her rant she spent the rest of that class bitching about the grammer mistakes that people had made. She even had a slide show presentation about the most common errors we had made!! (Instead of teaching us something about research methods!) She has a degree in English and is super anal about grammer, what ever....it's not an english class. I have her next semester for advanced research methods. I don't like her, but I don't want to switch and have a professor expect us to know a whole wack of stuff that she's never taught us. I came home after taht. I made myself a grilled cheese sandwich and studied some crim theory. I then went ot meet my seminar group to discuss what was going to be the order of our presentation and what kind of activities we would have the class do. (I was actually the person who found all of the activites, not to toot my own horn, but "toot toot!") :) We left at 8pm, cause I had to study and another guy had to go to a softball game. So I got home and studied from8ish to 9:30pm, gave mom a call, and watch CSI at 10pm. I didn't wuite feel like studying at 11pm, so I goofed around for a bit, but at about 11:45pm I started to go through all my notes again. At 1am Sam and I went to bed. I got up this morning at 9:30am, showered and got dressed, watched regis and kelly and studied for another hour. I work tonight, it shouldn't be to bad though, there are new leads and I'll bring the smutty romance novel Lisa lent me. Time goes by alot faster when I have something to read. I think Sam and I are gonna go to a movie tomorrow. I have to run it by him, but our certificate came in. (we cashed in some air miles) We get two admissions, two regular drinks, and a large popcorn. I don't work Saturday and I don't think he works to late. I don't know what movies are out though....hmmm.......any suggestions? I'll work on my part of the seminar on Saturday, and finish that up. Sunday we meet to put everything together and to a run through of the information, to make sure we have time for everything, or cut stuff if we don't etc. Monday we present and that's it. We have a book review in two weeks and that's it for the whole course, hardly anything!! Woohoo! I think mom and I have decided that her and Richard will pay for half of my drivers education as a christmas gift. I called first rate drivers education yesterday and they offer courses almost monthly at the high school. The total cost with taxes is $499. It includes 28 hrs in class, 11 hrs driving, and the test is included with the use of one of their cars. When I checked in May young drivers was $629+ tax! Actually my friend Jackie Thomas is taking it with them right now and she said it came to $740. First Rate has it on the weekends (4 Saturdays in a row), so that's pretty convenient and the high school is right next door. They have one November 18th, but I'm really busy and I'll be working in December, so I think that January would be the best time to take it. I told Jaymi the hours I need off for x-mas and my one exam and she reminded me that I can take my vacation pay, so I'll still have money coming in!! I completely forgot. Anyway gotta get ready for work....gotta catch my bus soon.....write later :)

So...I went into work last night and my supervisor wasn't working for some reason. That was o.k, I went to talk to Libby, the other night supervisro. I told her that I was finding the requirements for school to be difficult to handle as well as my committments at work. I told her that I was going to have to give my two weeks notice or we could figure something out. I told her that I have at least 2 things due every week in November, and not just little things, but stuff that's worth 25% of my final grade, and I didn't think I could work at all, or very little that month. We talked for a bit and she brought the night supervisor....manager....anyway he had a really long title and was in charge of alot of stuff over and we all talked for a bit. I told them that I could make up my hours in December, when alot less is due. (I only work 10 shifts every month) I can make that up in two weeks or less. So, I am allowed to take that month off from work!! How awesome is that?! I didn't want to quit and have to go get some minimum wage job of something for the little bit of time left until I graduate. Oh!! My supervisor brought me over for a performance review. She was very happy with my performance. I got 108% on my attendance (I go in early), I got a very good on my last monitoring session and the calls that she picked out and listened to she said I did great on all of them, maybe I could rebutt, but good. She said my sales were good, the numbers that she had were from the last quarter of the campaigns, she said that she knew I can make sales and not to worry about it. I only have one exam in December, so she asked my what I need off for exams and when I told her she said "oh...that's why you need November off". So she knoew I wasn't just trying to be slack or something. Anyway I gotta call Jackie and do my interview again...write later....p.s thanks for the encouragement Sue!! :)

I have decided to give my two weeks notice at connect. I'm pretty excited about my decision. It was just feeling like I didn't ever have any free time. Mondays I have a day and night class, Tuesdays I have 3 classes, (and have to do all the work for those classes right after class) because I have a class on Wednesday and work, then on Thurdays I have 3 classes again, do any other assignments and homework for those classes, Friday I have 1 class and work. Then every other Saturday I work 10am-6pm. I also have alot of group work this term and have to squeeze meetings in. I feel exhausted by Sundays (but still have school work to do). I have something due every single week in November, sometimes 2 things due. I'm going to offer to come back in December and make up my hours, cause I only work 10 shifts a month, so when I'm off during the holidays I can still make up the hours. If that isn't possible I'll just give my notice. If I ever wanted to wrok there again, it wouldn't be a problem. A guy in my traning class was on his 4th time being there!! :) I took a crime and the media class this summer past and I did a webpage on sexual assault and women's fear of it. The same topic I'm doing fo rmy interview, so I sent it to Jackie so she can have some news stories to talk about during our interview!! Your not supposed to give your interviewees anything, but I'm not gonna tell my proff and she'll never know any better! Ha!! So we are going to do that on Saturday after I get home from work. We did the first one at Tim Hortons and there is alot of background noise, so I think it'll be good that we do another one. (either at my apartment or hers) Then I get to do the glorious job of transcribing the hour+ interview (verbatim!). I wonder if there is something I can get off the internet that would allow me to plug the tape recorder in and a program of some sort put it into text. That would be great! (if anyone knows of any programs like that, let me know). I have to get ready for work and let Snowball out for a hop, so I'll write later..... :)
Wednesday, October 11, 2006
Hello all!! I am supposed to work today, but I have a wack of work to do for school, so I don't think I'll go. I make up my hours next week sometime. Maybe Monday, my morning class is cancelled....hmmm.... I have to do my interview soon, I hope I can get ahold of Jackie. I lucked out and found a voice recorder at "the Source" for 19.99$ plus tax. I got 3 60min tapes at Zellers for 6$!! I was very excited, cause the cheapest one that I had found up until that point was 29.99$ plus tax. October is a pretty good month, but I have SO much stuff due in November I don't know if I'll be able to work. The money is nice to have, but I don't want to do poorly in school, just to have some extra cash. I work on Friday and Saturday this week. blah. I met with my seminar group last night, I think our seminar will be really good once we get everything pulled together. We are meeting again on Sunday to work on it again. Jackie just called and she has some time right now, so I'm going to go do my interview now.....wish me luck! .....write later

I went into work on Wednesday and had a pretty good night. I made 5 sales. Yesterday I went into work and made 5 sales again. We were calling in Virginia. The people there were really nice. Lots of people thanked me for calling, they weren't interested in the phone services I was selling but really appreciated the call (they told me). I had one guy tell me that I had a really nice voice and he enjoyed talking to me. He called me "hun" and told me I was sweet!! :) Lisa from my training class recently switched from day shift to night shift. I seen her last week, we sat together, and decided to go out Friday night. At 11pm when we got off, we walked to her house and drank and got ready. Later on Jennifer from quality arrived and later still, a couple of other girls arrived. We all headed to the 20/20 club. There was no cover and the music was good. We stayed until 2am, and then went in our separate directions. Lisa and I went back to her house, decided we weren't to tired and headed out again. We went to an after hours club called Fusion. The cover was $8.50!! We payed and went in. The music was good and we stayed until a little after 4am. We go to the coat check to get our sweaters (Lisa had lent me one). The coat check girl had given the sweater I had wore away! It wasn't that busy, I don't know how she could've gotten confused. She was rude to us and told us that we could leave our name and number and if it turned up she would have the manager call, that was it, she didn't even apologize. She said "I don't know what to tell you, it's not here". We walked back to Lisa's (grumbling the whole way about the rude coat check chick). Other than that we had a really good time though. I got home at about 4:40am and went to bed. I rolled over this afternoon about 12:45pm. I lazed around in my p.j's for awhile, Sam got home alittle after 2pm and laughed at me for still being in my p.j's. I'm really happy about having this Saturday off. Sam and I are going to have a big chicken dinner on Monday. He bought us two pumpkins to carve after dinner as well. At school my classes are all going well. This is the most laid back kind of semester I've ever had. Usually I am super stressed because proffs are piling on tons of work right away. Not this year though, it's refreshing! My flaky Gender studies proff just gets us to talk about our feelings and opinions on different topics, sometimes not even remotely related to gender studies. She is a quack! Sam is ridiculously obsessed with his game. He works, sleeps, and plays this game. I offered to take us to a movie tonight and he declined! He would rather sit in front of this computer and play his game constantly!! It has taken over his life! When he's not playing it, he talks about it. That is the only thing that he says to me now. I hope he gets bored with it or looses interest soon. Anyway..... I called Gill to see if she wanted to hang out today, but no one was home, so I'll try tomorrow (maybe alittle earlier). Jackie and I hung out shortly. We got a tea and went to Zellers and Sobey's. I finally invested in a good can opener!! I payed 15.99$ for this one and I'll cry if it breaks. I have no luck with can openers. (even ones with life time warantees!) Tomorrow I'll do what little school work there is to be done and relax. It will be great! :) I'm excited for Monday, this will be our first thanksgiving dinner together in our own place. We usually go to one our parents houses. Snowball is doing great. She jumps up onto the couch and hops around right next to me. She even hops onto me! I miss Gizmo, but I don't know if I would even have time to spend with her if she came up. We just cleaned our carpets as well, so she would make a messs of them again (even though she usually lets us know when she needs to go out, she still has accidents). I think she's pretty happy at mom and Richards anyway. Anyway....that's long enough of a post for today....write later..... :)

I've had a busy week. I went to work on last thursday instead of Friday so that I could attend a girls night at Anne and Mary Anne's. We watched the first two episodes of Grey's Anatomy. It was a good show, I had never watched it before. There were tons of girls there! Between the two of them there must have been 15. I'll never remember all the names. I seen Britany who used to live ub my building and a couple of girls I've had classes with, so it wasn't all new people. Saturday I went into work. Everyone had to work a 9 hour shift instead of an 8 hour cause apparently they were behind in hours. They told us that we would all get an extra 10$ bonus for logging 7 hours and then if the group of us met 1000 hours we would have $2000 to divide up between all the agents. At about 6:30pm they tell us that they just found out that we only get extra money if we meet the 1000 hours!! We were no were close to it by 6:30pm!! We all would have had to work until 9pm to even get anything extra!! We all just said screw it and went home at 7pm. Lisa from work gave me a drive home, she was coming up to the mall, so it wasn't out of the way. She also invited me to a mary kay party last night, but I was swamped with work. We are going to go out after work on Friday night to have a couple of drinks and dance. She was in my training class and I really liked her then, but she worked day shifts and I didn't see her anymore. She recently switched to nights and we sat next to each other on Saturday and had a nice conversation in between calls. It makes time go by so much faster when you have someone to talk to. I don't think she works tonight so I'll have to give her a call just to confirm our friday night plans. I work tonight. I am going to get my pictures done at the Superstore for much cheaper. I seen Anne the day that I was checking out info about pictures and we are going to go get our pictures done on the same day. We are planning on getting our hair done and just renting the robe thing together and sharing it. Turns out the pictures don't even have to be in until the February! We are going to get ours done in December when we are out for exams. This way they will be more recent. Anyway I gotta bust over to class......write later :)

I have had a wonderful day today!! I went to bed early last night and got some much needed extra sleep. I woke up refreshed and ready to go. I got up and made two fabulous cups of coffee. I checked my bank account and my line of credit went through. I went to the bank and got my tuition checque and headed off to school. I was walking down Regent and someone yelled at me from behind. It was Gill!! I hadn't seen her in such a long time. She walked to school with me. She had just come from an interview at Canada Post. She likes her job at CIBC, but not the hours(she works nights). We talked and sat outside James Dunn before my class. I went to my class and learned alot. Today I am in a positive mood and I asked lots of questions. I apologized later for getting the professor off topic a bit. He said that it was no problem and he wished others would ask questions more. Woohooo...brownie points for me. I have a research question due tomorrow. I tried to work on it all day yesterday, but I was so tired it was to of not productive at all and I finally gave up after about 4 hours. AND my printer broke. Yup, just gave out while I was doing the maintenance things. I Checked the nozzel thing and cleaned all the things and it quit. A piece broke off and now it is useless to me. I hope I can buy another one like it though, cause I have 3 full black ink cartridges for it. Today I'm calling into work and telling them I can't come in. I'll make up my hours tomorrow. They don't care to much. I really should go get something to eat before I start the research thing. Write later....
P.S: I looked at Gills grad picture and noticed that she is wearing a back robe and the collar thing is mainly gold with just alittle bit of green!! Woohoo. I told Gill today about my hate for the color green. She laughed at me. She was surprised that she didn't know, having known me so long. :)

I just went to the bank and got my student line of credit (well signed the stuff for it). It's just a matter of time now before I can access it. Woohoo! The interest is only 6% on the premium and 5 for something else. I work tonight, Blah. It's raining up here today. I got soaked walking back from school. I'm gonna bring my umbrella with me to work. (for the walk home from the bus stop). I'm going to go get my grad pictures taken on Monday at 4:20pm. I think I'll go get my hair done. Its all one length right now, I'll get a something done with it. The only thing......to my disappointment.......as many of you know I HATE the color green for clothing....I don't know why.....green has never done anything to me personally, but I loath the color for some reason. Our school colors are green and gold. I hadn't really thought this through, but I was looking at Gill's grad picts and the rode is Green!!! I don't know what I can do?! Is there maybe a gold robe with alittle green on t? I could deal with that, but the whole thing? I don't know! I might just have to suck it up and try to smile even though I'll be draped in the wretched color! I work today, I called to say that I couldn't come in b/c I had to much work to do for school, but the secretary said that I would have to make up the hours another day, come in on Saturday. I couldn't have that!! I have been looking forward to this Saturday since last Saturday (when I worked). So I told her I'd figure something out and just come in. Oh, there was a meeting last Saturday as well. At this meeting it was announced that if you call in sick you now have to provide a doctors note!! Whatever, if I'm sick I am not going all the way up to the hospita or medical clinic to sit around other sick people just to see a doctor for a note!! I am staying in bed!! I don' t know how much longer I'm going to be able to work there. There is alot of work to do for school this term. Maybe I'll look for another part time job that is closer to home and closes earlier. That's an idea.hmmm.......Anyway gotta go get ready for work.....woohoo......write later....

Guess What?!!!No never mind, I'll tell you, cause you'll never guess (it's that ridiculous!). Sam just told me that he is going to save up and buy his own computer. I mean I have a computer, but now it's not good enough. He recently started hanging out with a guy from work who happens to be interested in computers and is a tech guy or something. Whatever. Now Sam has bought a computer game (which you play online, but have to pay for a membership, cause his Ps2 wasn't cutting it for whatever reason) and wants to start downloading movies and games and music, etc. AND he won't just buy a laptop so that it is small and out of the way. Oh no! It's gotta be a desktop with a 256 video graphics card and a 512 ram. I don't know if any of you have noticed, but my apartment is....well...petit. We have a limited amount of space and it is All being used. (some of it by his 2 separate fish tanks!!) Where are we going to put Another computer?! He is crazy. His tech guy was saying that my computer isn't good anymore and I should upgrade andblah blah blah...... Why pay more $ to upgrade when I am Completely satisfied with my computer? Who knows. Whatever. Donwloading all that stuff he is going to have his computer fried in a matter of months. He could put that money to such better use!! Grrr.............. He doesn't even see why I should even care, cause it's his money and it doens't matter. I am so frustrated! Anyway I gotta get to work, just needed to vent. Write later.

Books are ridiculously expensive at the bookstore and the store is understaffed for this time of the year!! Providing books for 2 universities and only having 3-4 tellers open. I'm kinda lucky though, my women and law class doesn't have a text. There is a printed version of the aritcles we will need, but they are all available online at Legaltrac as well. I'll just print them off myself. I have a full ink cartridge in my printer and 3 in available. I also got an email about my gender studies text, she wrote for me to make an offer, so I said $30 for it. I've seen other people selling it for that much, so I don't think it is unreasonable. Hopefully I can still go to the used book store and get my research methods book. On to more exciting news. Sam...crazy Sam.....put 2$ into a VLT machine the other day and won $400.00!!Then he took $10 of those dollars and put it into another machine and pulled out another $200.00!! He bought me my new Norton Antivirus as a surprise (mines almost expired). He bought me coffee and offered to take me out to dinner, but I had just eaten, so he gave me $20 to photocopy my crim theory book. (I borrowed it from a girl for $30, she paid $60+tax). I came home the other day and he had bought a 27" flat screen t.v and a home theatre system (surround sound and everything). The entertainment unit cracked under the weight of the stuff and barely fits in. He told me he had to take the lip of the top shelf of to insert it into the spot for the television! He bought a couple of movies the last night to- Flightplan and FreedomLand. He also rented final destination 3 for us as well. The last couple of days I have been treated like a Queen!! (well...at least a spoiled princess). It's been great.!! :0) I think I'm going to work Wednesdays instead of Tuesdays. I called work and left a message. I'm so tired!! Going to class all day and then immediately to work is to hard. On wednesdays I only have one class. This year is going to be so much reading and so much work!! I hope my student line of credit gets approved soon. I filled out a late payment slip so that I don't get kicked out of my classes when I don't pay on Wednesday. I now have until the 30th of September to pay. I went to my senior seminar on Monday. It was great!! I really like the proff. She also took a vote and changed the class from 7-9:50pm to 6:30-9:20pm. It's all about the study of food. The production, consumption, management, regulations, health and safety, etc. My friend Kelly is also in the class. She lives down the street, so it gives me someone to walk home with and know in class. We are also in the same group fo rour major group assignment. I took Professor Machum for Society and Ecology last year, so I already have some knowledge about the stuff we are studying. Today I went to my gender studies class and a girl from my modern soc class last year had just signed up. It's always nice when you know a couple people in the class. BTW is anyone in need/want for a 13" t.v? We have one in the bedroom, but now will have the 20" one for in there. Let me know. Anyway I am starving. I really have to figure out a way to eat when I have 3 classes right in a row and in different buildings, tyhe not eating anything is not working. My gender studies professor is somewhat of a.....well....."flake"...there is no other way to describe her. She is all about group work and us getting to know each other. I don't want to be tested on Joes Birthday or something, I'd like to learn about the study of gender and the different theoretical branches associated with that study....whatever I guess....there's always one :). Snowball is doing great!! She follows me all around the apartment and comes over for pats and everything. I think I'll go make something to eat and watch some t.v on the much larger t.v set that we now have...... thanks for the suggestions of girly movies, keep them coming!!

I've had a nice week! School went well on Thursday and Friday. I don't even have to buy any text books for one of my classes!! Turns out that the professor forgot to order them and now it's to late!! She is going to photocopy the whole text for us. Three 2 others the professors said that used ones are available, they are usually cheaper than buying brand new ones. My crim theory proff has a brand new one, that is 60$ apparently, and I don't know what I'll need for my seminar. The used book room opens at 10:30am tomorrow, so I'm going to go to school early and see if I can get any good deals on texts. A girl emailed me and said that she would sell me her research methods text for $60, but I'm pretty sure I can get it cheaper somewhere else. I can use older editions as well. She is selling the newest one, so I'm thinking that would be more pricey anyway. Friday I went to work, it was alright...kinda boring....but oh well. I was going to catch the bus home and leave at 10:35pm. Sam showed up and surprised me though. He said that his last pay from the Hilltop turned out to be more than he expected and he would take us out for the night. We went to subway and split a sub and then moved on to Nickeyzees. He bought all the drinks. I had a keiths, a smirnoff ice, and we split a six pack of mini Corona's. We had alot of fun. We got home and he had bought some cheese cakes and pizza pocket things. Saturday I cleaned. Sam called and invited me to meet him for lunch at Mikes, his treat. I had shrimp parmigiana and a side ceasar. He had served us, so I left him change to buy a coffee as a "tip". I left and went home and remembered I had to pick up a prescription at shoppers. I wasn't happy with this particular prescription, so I seen that the after hours clinic was open, so I signed the sheet and waited to speak to the doctor. I was the last one to be treated, we talked and she switched my presciption. She also offered be my doctor while I'm in Fredericton. Sam came home later and told me he had bought a coffee and put a twoonie in one of those gambling machines. Turned out he won $80, so he gave me $20 of it. With my new found wealth I offered to rent a movie for us. We rented the movie "RV". It was a cute movie. There isn't a heck of alot to choose from. Anne Dance called me later on and invited me to go on the aids walk with her today. We had planned on hanging out on Saturday, but we both didn't remember til later on. I met up with her at 1:20pm today and we went to the campus to get registered. Anne had worked for the aids society in Ontario this summer, so when she seen that there was an aids walk in Fredericton she could think of no better a way to spend part of her vacation pay than to donate it to the aids society!! She's awesome. She handed me $25 to register and put another 25$ in to register herself. We got free hot dogs and apples when we got downtown. It was a really nice day today, kinda windy, but sunny for the most part. She invited me to a "girls night" this Saturday. She asked me to think of some "girly" movies. She has never seen "Pretty Woman"!! I don't know where I could even rent it or even if that is a "Girly" movie by definition, but I was shocked. By the time we graduate I'll make sure that she has seen it. I chatted with Gill for a few minutes on msn. Turns out that she is living in Fredericton and working at CIBC. She said she visited out west this summer, but didn't really like it. I'll have to give her a call some day when I'm either not working or off from school. Anyway I'm going to go make something to eat and have some cheesecake. Write later... :0)

I got back yesterday from my visit to Saint John. I had alot of fun. Friday we (Susan, mom, & I) went and seen the movie "Accepted". I had never heard of it before, but it turned out to be a funny little fluff movie. It was about a guy opening his own college for all the people who don't get accepted to other colleges. It was cute. We had a pizza that evening. Saturday we went out shopping to McAllister place. I seen nothing that I wanted. Mom got some nice new dress shoes at payless. They were much needed for her, she always wears those 5$ crappy slip ons that can't be to comfy. We went over to Walmart thinking that they would have the same stuff as Smart set, Suzy Shier, etc, but alot cheaper, but they didn't have anything! I bought one t- shirt and a tank. Later on Susan, mom and I went out to Cathy's house for supper and "girls night". Lisa arrived later. (BTW hope your feeling better) Cathy made a delicious dinner. We then had some creamcicle drinks, and bacon wrapped scallops. I had alot of fun. Sunday, Richard took us out to Breakfast at Cora's. I love that place. We have one here, but it's downtown so we never get there. Lisa invited us to go to the movie "Crank" (I think that was the name). We went to see that at about 2pm. It was the weirdest movie ever. There was no story line or point. Just alot of stupid, bad jokes. This guy gets poisoned, for some reason, and he goes on a killing rampage. That's it. Mom and I then went to Giant Tiger at about 4:45pm. I found a wack of stuff to get. I got some nice tanks, a new blazer, some dress shirts, and some ink cartriges. If I would have had more time I probably would have found more. OnMonday we had a nice Ham dinner. Sam came over from his parents ( he came down on Sunday) and spent the night with us. The bunny did great on her visit to SJ. I had to take her since Sam wasn't going to be home. Gizmo was very friendly to her. I got home yesterday around 2pm. I didn't feel like going into work, so I called and told them that I had missed the bus from SJ to Fredericton. My number comes up private, so they won't know. I'm going in today to make up my hours. School starts tomorrow. I have 3 classes. (right in a row) My earliest class is 10am. I'm really excited to start school. I'm glad it's my last one, but still excited. :) Anyway I'm going to go get dressed and make something to eat....write later. :)

I got a drive home last night!! I got the ride from Angela. I sit next to her and Caroline all the time and asked them last night if either of them drove up the hill. Caroline lives across the river, but Angela said that she could drive up the hill to get to the highway instead of on Woodstock road for me. I got home at 11:15pm. That's the earliest I've been home (without taking the bus) in a long time. I'll keep my fingers crossed that she offers to drive me again tonight. I don't want to assume anything. It was raining last night and pretty cold. The evenings have gotten pretty chillly up here lately. I still haven't heard back from the bank about a line of credit. They Suck!! Mom called me and told me that she had recieved something in the mail saying that I had been denied the line of credit. (apparently they can't read) They said that I put that Richard made an amount (much lower than what I knew I had put), so mom and Richard straghtened it out and re-filed my application. I'm going to call them tomorrow and see what's going on. They haven't sent me anything and I have no idea where I stand with them. Work went well last night. I made 5 sales. 2 of which were in the first hour I was there. The people were really friendly last night. I had alot of people calling me "hun and babe....." One lady that I sold to said that I was a very nice telemarketer and very helpful, another one said that I was the nicest telemarketer that he had ever spoken to. I'll be switching supervisors when I go to part time. I'll have Jaymi as a supervisor. I don't think I'll mind, she was nice when I had her a couple of times. I think I'll miss having Alex as my supervisor though. He let me do whatever I wanted to. If I wanted to leave early or switch a shift he didn't even care, I always work my hours, so he doesn't care to much when I want to work them. Oh well it will only be twice a week and every other Saturday. They are really flexible with the hours too. Sam and I cleaned our carpets on Sunday (his fish tank had a leak in it). We also had to spray our cupboards with some raid. We had these tiny flour bugs and they travel through the wood crevices. So we had to take Everything out. I didn't realize how much we had until we had to find room for it elsewhere. I think we killed them all. We cleaned the cupboards with bleach and pinesol after. I can't believe school starts next week, wow! I'm pretty excited to start again. I have some really good professors and classes. My schedule is really good as well. The bus schedule is alot better in the school year as well, so getting to and from work will be easier. I've got to make sure that I get to the student employment office during September and October so I can apply for as many government contracts as possible. They are 2 year apprenticeship programs. You get to work right in the public sector and recieve the hands on training that you need under a mentor. I really don't feel like going to work today, I'm raelaly tired, but I suppose I need the money and I only have 4 days left 'til I go to part time. Pat told me that some girl and her boyfriend bought a puppy!! They didn't even ask Pat!! It says right on our lease that dogs are not allowed. The girl said that she had seen Gizmo around!! I always tell everyone that she is just a visitor when I see them. Her boyfriend is in the army and will be going to Iraq in February and the girl and dog will be going to Newfoundland. Their lease runs out in August again, so Pat will just not let them move in with the dog. She said that Gizmo can still come and visit though,we'll just have to space out her visits a bit more. What a trouble making couple of people!! I have no ideas for girls night (sorry mom), I looked stuff up online, but didn't find anything to interesting. However I was thinking that we could start the evening by going out to dinner (suggestions for a restaurant would be appreciated). Go back to someones home, after picking up some interesting drinks (again suggestions would be appreciated), I have some drinking games that I can bring, as I'm sure others may have some they can bring. We can rent some girly movies (suggestions appreciated), eat some snacks (eachperson can bring some- vege tray, brie and crackers, havarti, you get the idea). We can either have a (as much as I hate to say it) "sleepover"- with little sleep. Or take cabs to our own home in the wee hours of the night. Let me know what you think of this general plan!! we can put things together in a better way through suggestions and collaboration. Ooo....maybe we can have a BBQ as well, we can all just bring whatever it is that we want to eat. I can pick up some ther things as well to keep it interesting.....let me know what you think!! :)

Last week went by so fast!! I sold my first DSL internet sale on Saturday. I was so nervous, the training we got was pretty crappy. I actually sold to someone who said that they weren't interested in any services until the DSL was in their area (they had checked 2 weeks prior and it wasn't). I checked and called them back. When I asked for the guy and made my introduction the guy said "yes, this is he, we just spoke 5 minutes ago, what is this about?". It was kinda funny. I spoke to my supervisor and he said that it was fine for me to take my Saturday off. Instead of working the two after September 2nd I worked yesterday and I'm going to work this Saturday. So I'll have two Saturdays off. I think it will be easier to work two in a row before school starts than right when it does. I'm getting kind of excited about starting school, but I'm not sure if it starts on Sept 6th (Wed) or Sept 7th (Thurs), if anyone knows let me know. I have some classes that sound pretty interesting. I've been working extra all week long, so I think this pay will still be pretty good (even though we didn't work N.B day). Which reminds me....I have to get my supervisor to get them to stop taxing me, I filled out an E tax form and for some strange reason, they are still taxing me. I think it is because the girl that handles this stuff is pretty slack (so I've heard). She wouldn't give me the tax form, she insisted that my supervisor had to be the one to get it for me. Sam brought me home a rose yesterday. It was very sweet of him. It rained all day in Fredericton yesterday. My first day off after countless days of pleasant weather and then it poured!! Stupid weather!! It's still raining today too. I got a drive home on Saturday from a supervisor who drives alot of people home. I came outside and asked the girl I usually walk home with if she was walking, she wasn't, so I asked the other girl I share a cab with occasionally if she would mind splitting a cab (I would take it to her house and walk to mine). She agreed, but Jackie (another girl that I work with) told us that she gets a drive with a supervisor and she would have room for us as well. So we got a ride home!! Woohoo! I didn't get home any earlier than when I walk, but I was able to go to Victory meats and get some stuff (they have awesome prices) and be in an air conditioned van. It was so hot and muggy on Friday, it hurt to breathe, so I don't think I would have made it! It's raining, so I'm going to see if I can get a lift home again. The supervisor lives in Marysville, so she has to drive up the hill and lets people get lifts up the hill with her. Anyway I'm going to go get a coffee....write later....

I had a busy weekend. Friday night Jackie met me after work and we went to Nickyzees. We had alot of fun. We drank a wack of Mini Corona's. They were great and cheap! 1.50$ each! We both had alot of fun. We got up on Saturday and went to Mikes for breakfast. We both got the French toast platter, it was great. Later on that evening when Sam got home he said that we had been invited out to Dooley's, so we went and had some drinks and played pool with Carl, Shelly and Carls cousins (Tia and Joey). We had alot of fun, closed the bar and went back to their apartment and drank some more. We left their apartment (which is just across the street) and got home at aroun 2:30am. Then at 3:30am the doorbell buzzed. It was them!!! They were out of smokes and wanted some from Sam!! Pat came out and seen them and called Sam (who was just trying to roll them smokes and get them to leave) and told him that they had to go and to get them out. Sam was frustrated and told her that he was trying to do just that and not to yell at him. I haven't seen her yet today and I don't know what she thinks, but we did not invite them here. Sam told them that it was not O.K to do that and never to do it again. I am really tired and not looking forward to work. Oh well, at least it's only 6+ hours. I work this Saturday, then I have 2 Saturdays off. I talked to my supervisor and it is fine to work a day shift on Friday, September 1st and not on Saturday, just the next Saturday to make up for it. I think mom is going to come pick me up (we have to take the puppy with us) after work on Friday. Then I'll catch the bus up on Tuesday morning. I have one class the next day, so it will be a pretty relaxed first day. Mom brought my student loan application into the bank on Tuesday, so I should hear back from them some time next week. I'm going to go make something to eat......write later...:)

I got 5 sales last night, that is better than I've done all week. I think I did the best in my group, alot of people hadn't even made 1 sale by the end of the night. I took the bus home again, I figure I'm not going to try and work as much as possible any more. It doesn't make much difference....they tax you more if your in a higher tax bracket anyway so your no further ahead. We did decide to go out on Saturday. I had alot of fun, Jackie, Julia, Tolu (Jackie's friend), and I all went to Dolans and then to Sweetwaters. It was nice togo out to a club, it's been awhile. Jackie and I are thinking about going out this Friday as well. It would be ladies night at all the clubs so we wouldn't have to worry about cover. I think we'll go to Nickyzees. Hopefully the music will be better than at Sweets. They kept playing this tech stuff alternately with good dance songs. I have this Saturday off, as does Jackie (I think), so we were thinking about partying Friday night and going to a late breakfast on Saturday. Sam is working so much. He works 47-53 hours at the Hilltop and works a 10 hour shift at Mikes on Tuesdays. He's crazy. I think I'm going to go to SJ at the beginning of September. I have to work out all the details with my boss, but I think it should be O.K. They are pretty laid back. Anyway I'm going to get ready for work, write later...:)

Last night I wasn't feeling to great so I left work "early" so that I could catch the bus home. I really didn't work any less hours though, cause I started 35 mins early, so I still worked 6 hours and 10mins. The people we were calling we pretty pleasant, but had absolutely no reason to switch their calling plans, most of them were paying under $20 for their current service and used their cell phones for long distance. The cheapest thing I could offer was 39.95$ plus taxes and surcharges. I thought taxes in Canada were pretty bad until I realized what some of the rates in the states are. Some states they pay more in taxes than they do for the actual service. It's crazy. I almost made one sale yesterday, but I told the woman that I would call her back today so she could discuss it with her boyfriend (it was really because I wanted to catch the bus). I did have one man tell me that I was the nicest and most pleasant telemarketer he had ever talked to. He didn't buy anything, but it was nice to hear. I took tonight off work, I'm still not feeling well and my throat is really sore, so I think I would loose it if I went into work. I've got some head cold pills to take care of it though. Mom and Gizmo are coming up to see me today. It'll be nice to have Gizmo up. Mom said she wants to go to walmart to get a little island type thing for her kitchen. That'll be good, we can also go to Starbucks. I have New Brunswick day off (this Monday). I work tomorrow and Saturday, but I'll still have two days off. Jackie and I were thinking about drinking and hanging out on Saturday. She works til 5pm and I work til 7pm. We were thinking of going to Giant Tiger before we start drinking. She would pick me up after work. That'll be nice, Jackie and I haven't hung out or partied nearly enough this summer! :)Hopefully Julia can come with us, she's alot of fun to hang out with as well. I'm just going to give mom my loan application when she comes up today, then she can get Richard to sign it and mail the original. That'll be better than a faxed copy, then her having to pay postage. I was thinking....and I've decided to stay at Connect and work tuesdays, Fridays and every other Saturday, and that will pretty well take care of my bills. I probably won't need to use much of the loan itself. My suprevisor said that they are really flexible about the hours and can work around my schedule. My school schedule isn't that bad this year. I have one class on Monday, Wednesday, and Fridays, 3 classes on Tuesdays and Thursdays, and one evening class on Monday's. My earliest class is at 10am and my latest (other than the night one) finishes at 2:20pm. I'm really glad that I took a class during intersession. I wouldn't want to have to do 6 classes a semester. That would be pretty difficult to do. Snowball is doing great! I think we have really bonded. I can tap the floor and she'll hop over to me. She'll let me pat her, she sniffs and licks me alot. I'm really glad that I have my seminar with professor Machum. She is a good teacher, I've done really well in the other two classes that I took with her. I wasn't looking to take a night class, but I wanted her as my proff. The day time seminar was taught by some professor that I have heard isn't great. Anyway I'm going to go make something to eat......write later.......btw...thanks for the comments, they are always appreciated and I welcome any future comments as well.....:)

My week at work went pretty well. I left work early on Friday so I could catch the bus. (it was pouring buckets out!) I got soaked just walking to the bus stop half a block away. Sam and I rented the movie "Annapolis" when I got home. It was a pretty good movie. Saturday Mom and Richard were supposed to bring the dog up for a couple weeks, but they never showd up for some reason. I sat here all day waiting for them too. I went and met Sam for a couple beers at the hilltop at 11pm which was nice. Sunday was Joe and Allison's going away party. It was alot of fun. We ended up going downtown to Shelly's house before heading out to the bars. I seen Julia while we were out, Mohawk and all. She's so fun. We got home at about 2:30am, Sam had to be to work for 11am....I'm glad I wasn't him. I slept in. :) I work 6 days this week. I applied for a student line fo credit, well filled it out and had the bank fax it to SJ for Richard to sign, and then they can mail it to the Scotia office for me or mail it back to me and I'll send it. Well gotta go make a supper to take to work.....write later.....

I got my student loan "notice of assessment" yesterday. It turns out that, even though I've lived on my own for 2 years and pay all my own bills, I can't get a student loan, because Richard makes to much. Apparently the government expects his 'parental contribution' to be 20 thousand dollars a year!! How realistic is that? The government expects your parents to put you through university if they aren't a low income family. I went to the bank today. I'm going to apply for a student line of credit. Grr....stupid government....... I don't think I'll have to much of a problem getting a line of credit though, I do all my banking there. I'm still going to send in a confirmation of earnings form when school starts so that I can be considered for the millenium bursary. I applied for lots of bursaries last May, so hopefully I'll get a couple of those. I can always stay at connect part time. the pay is decent. The bus schedule changes every September, so if there is one shortly after 11pm, I'd be able to stay. I biked home yesterday. The ride down York street was nothing. The bike back up it was a little more challenging to say the least. I got home in 25mins though. It takes me 40mins to walk up. We got off 35mins early, the systems crashed. I still got my hours though, cause I started 50mins early. I'm going to go buy one of those giant tubs of ice cream at Zellers.....write later....:)

This week went by really slow. I worked 6 days this week and only have today off. Then it's back to work tomorrow...ugh. I did however make 10 sales on Friday....I've only sold 10 one other time, so I was preety happy that I sold so many. We called Texas all day, which I love. The people are generally really polite...a few here and there that aren't, but for the most part it is the friendliest state to call. The men are really nice. They always call me "ma'am". I slept in today and it was great! I work 5-11am monday to Friday, so when Saturday comes and I have to work at 11am, it throws my sleeping pattern off a bit. I have to catch my bus at 9:58am, BTW. So I get downtown almost an hour before I start work. I'm glad that I got there early this Saturday though. Alot of the day shift people had called in sick last Saturday (their Saturday to work) and were trying to make up the hours by coming in this Saturday. So alot of them got sent home because they were taking computers that the night shift people were entitiled to. I got a hazelnut latte at Second Cup downtown before work yesterday and I was Awesome! I think I had tried a plain latte before and wasn't to impressed by it, but thelavoured ones are great!! To bad they are 3-4$ for a small or I'd buy them more often. Sam and I went out to lunch yesterday. I had a turkey and swiss sandwich on a croissant with a cesar salad. It was very enjoyable. This morning I cleaned Snowballs cage and let her out for a hop. I block off all the spots that would give her access to wires, but I forgot to move the phone from the coffee table, so I went to go make a coffee and when I returned she had chewed through the phone cord!! Silly bunny!! So I went to Zellers and Sobeys and finally the dollar store to get a new wire. I bought two (or so I thought) , but one turned out to be an extension cord. Oh well at least it was only 1$. They wanted 8.79$ for one at Zellers!! and it was 12-15 feet long. That would have been far to much. I'm going to go make a coffee....write later.........

I got back yesterday from a really nice weekend with mom, Sue, and Cole in Moncton. I was able to work a day shift on Friday, so I could catch a bus to Saint John, it was really easy to switch. I got into saint john at about 7:30pm and mom and Richard picked me up. We ended up going to keystone kelly's for supper. Mom and I shared a chicken fajita dinner for 2. It was really good. We then went back to mom and Richard's house and watched a movie, I foget what it was called, but it was pretty good. Richard woke everyone up bright and early on Saturday (he was going to centreville on a bike run with some guys). So mom and I got up and went and picked Sue and Cole up at about 11am. We arrived in Moncton about 1:30pm, but our room wasn't ready until 3pm, for whatever reason. We then went to crystal palace. Sue and Cole got braclets and mom and I bought some tokens. Crystal palace is alot smaller than I remember.hmm.....Anyway mom and I went into chapters and bought some frappacinos at Starbucks and took a look at some books. I bought a book called "velocity" by Dean Koonz, I've read some other stuff by him and liked it. I work today through til Saturday. I hope that I can get my bonus. I work an extra 30-45mins+ 5 days a week and we are supposed to get a bonus if we have 72 hours of "logged" on time. It is turning out to be harder than I thought to get logged on time because the systems are always going down. What a pain in the ass. They made us go home an hour early yesterday because the campaign ran out of leads. I think I might apply at some other places. I see an ad all the time to work at a kiosk in the regent mall. The pay is $7.50-18$ an hour. If I oculd make the same per hour that I make now, I would go there. It would be closer and better hours. Anyway I'm getting hungry....:)
Tuesday, July 11, 2006
I wrote my post on Saturday before I went to work, I did awesome on Saturday for my sales. I sold 10 phone packages, that's a new record for me. I sold 5 last night as well. I work tonight through 'til Friday, but I do have the weekend off which will be nice. Mom said that she, Sue and Cole might go somewhere on the weekend, if they do I might go as well. Sam has applied to work at the forestry complex as a cook. It's through the same company that does the service for the university and hospital. So it would be unionized and include benefits. The guy interviewed him on the spot and said that there would be a second interview on Friday and he should get a call sometime this week. He likes working at Mikes, but he is not getting enough hours. He worked 7 days last week and still only cam eout with 45.5 hours. Last night, no campaigns were even available for the first hour and 45mins that I was there. We were just calling people and offering them "one bill", combining home phone bill with cell phone, but half of them didn't even have a cell phone with Verizon. What a complete waste of time. Luckily I got moved into the FIOS campaign with the other supervisor. I made 3 out of 5 of my sales in the last hour at work. Crazy! Thanks for the Birthday present Lisa! It was a very thoughtful gift. :) Not to much else going on.....write later.....

Work is going well enough, I get sales. My supervisor(the one I thought had forgotten about me) said that I was the best seller in his group when another supervisor asked him if hse could borrow his best sellers for a campaign. I got my raise, which will make a nice difference on my pay. :) I went home on Tuesday, went to my appointment, and mom and I went to see the movie "Lake House", we both really enjoyed it. I called in sick to work on Wednesday and stayed in SJ for another night, mom and I worked on my student loan on Thursday morning and afternoon.(which is now filed (: woohoo!) I figure I can take off a day here or there, I start work 45mins early mon-fri. It works out to be an extra 71/2 hours per pay period, so it will make up for the 6 hour shift that I missed. I miss Gizmo terribly. When mom arrived on Tuesday, some people were coming in the front door at the same time, and Pat seen mom and told them that she was going home today (with mom). I took that to mean that she had to go home. She told me today that she just said that cause the people were there and she didn't want them asking questions. Snowball is doing great!! I never realized how strange bunnies look when they are hopping around. Snowball dashes all over the place. She kind of looks like she has tourette's syndrome. I work tomorrow and then I have Sunday off. I only work until 7pm, Sam and I are going to go to Zellers and return our vacuum when he gets off at 8pm. He was using it today and turned it on, while it was on the cord. With our old one, that didn't do much. With the new one it sucked the cord into the spinner thing and broke it. So I'm just going to return it and tell them it broke while I was using it. They're pretty good about returning things. I don't have my reciept though, I don't want to return it for money, just a new vacuum, so I don't think it will matter. Anyway it is getting late and I think I'm going to go to bed.....write later....:)

Wow, it's been almost two whole weeks since my last post!! Jackie reminded me the other day that I hadn't posted in awhile. I'm doing well at connect. I make pretty good sales. I think I will get my raise at the end of my probation period. I'm doing better than the other two girls in my group. Tonight Sam and I are going to go downtown and check out the Canada day festivities after he gets off of work at 7pm. I think I'll check the fredericton webpage to see what time the fireworks are. I have today and tomorrow off, I work Monday and I have Tuesday off as well. I'm going to go to Saint John, mom told me I have a dentist appointment. Sam and I bought a new vacuum yesterday. We got it on sale for 15% off, so we only ended up paying $97.95 for it. It's a dirt devil bagless vacuum. Other than that there is not a heck of alot going on......write later....:)

It's good to be loved! Everybody wanting to know when they get to see me again.....hehe. Well I probably won't be coming to SJ any time soon I work alot. I work 5 days one week and 6 the next and it keeps alternating like that so I don't know. I have the Canada weekend off, but I work on Monday. And Mom and Richard always go away, so I'd be at their house alone, which wouldn't be much fun. I'll have to book some time off or something. I'm doing pretty well at work. Fridays and Saturday's are slower for sales(apparently) so I wasn't expecting to much. I made 4 sales, 2 people made 1 and the same girl got 0. I walked home with Leah in my group and it only took 35-40mins. That's walking up York street from King too. (http://ca.maps.yahoo.com/maps_result?newFL=Use+Address+Below&addr=York&csz=fredericton%2C+new+brunswick&.intl=ca&name=&lat=&lon=&srchtype=a&qty=&new=1&trf=0&getmap=Get+Map) I didn't realize how fast of a walk it was. I was always worrying about the bus schedule. If I can walk up the hill that fast, I can probably walk down it faster. I was taking a bus that got me to kings place 45mins early. I'll just walk on nice days. The girl I was walking with, walks everyday there and back, she was going so fast. I was getting out of breath trying to keep up with her!! That's probably why we were so fast, I wouldn't walk that fast if I was by myself probably. I think I'll make a cake today. I have been craving sweet things the last couple of nights. I think I have a chocolate cake mix...mmmm.....chocolate cake....thanks for the comments guys!! :)

Monday and Tuesday wasn't much better. We were supposed to start on the phones yesterday, but there weren't enough computers available. Amy and I sat next to two people who were taking calls for verizon online. After listening to that for 2 hours and 45minutes our supervisor asked us if we wanted to go home, Amy said yes(she wanted to watch a hockey game), but I said to put me on the phones. Our break was coming up in 15 minutes, so he should've just left me alone until after, but he didn't. My first call was horrible!! One, he put me on phone packages (after listening to internet sales all night), two, my computer froze...so I didn't know what to offer the customer...three, the woman was impatient and started yelling"what's the point of this call?" "what is the purpose?"...wah...wah ...wah! I got so upset!! She was so nasty! Then i had my 15min break to think about my bad call. Thankfully the rest of the night wasn't so bad and it was only 2 1/2 hours, just enough to get my 'feet wet' (hehe). Tonight was really boring. There is a 1-4min wait in between calls. I know....that doesn't sound like much, but when your there 6 hours it adds up. I made 3 Sales on the phone packages today! Two other girls from my group got 3 and the other got none. My last one was at 10:58pm. We are supposed to log off at 11pm, but I was still making a sale, so I didn't get logged off until 11:10pm. Which is nice cause its hard to get the 68 hour bonus when you work nights. I also logged on a couple of minutes early for my breaks. I think I'll get a book or a word find to play tomorrow night. Anyway I should get to bed.....write later......BTW thanks for the nice comment Lisa! :)

I'm pretty sure that my job at connect is not going to be to difficult. We listened in on a monitoring session and most of the time you don't even get to talk to the person you want. The training has sucked though. The trainer is nice, but gets really off topic ALOT. Yesterday we learned nothing, no wiat...we learned how to do a one bill, but only beacause I reminded the trainer that she said she would train us how. Unless you really probe for training, you don't get much. We paired up and did role playing, but she stuck me with the only guy in the class, who told me that he was only staying for the training and then leaving. So...the role playing was no use to me. She hadn't even gone through a full order with us yet, just the individual parts of one. I work the evening shift, so I won't be selling much of the packages (which is the only thing we've learned so far), I'll be selling Verizon online. It's a good deal and high speed is always better anyway. I don't think it will be to tough of a sell. I also make an additional $5 for every order that I place for VOL. I hope the bus schedule is better during the school year, I wouldn't want to take a cab home every night when I'm only working 3 nights and every second Saturday. I've been lucky so far. A girl in my class gets picked up and her boyfriend drives me and another girl home as well as his girlfriend. But, she'll be working days when we get on the phones, so I'll have to ask around to see if any one is driving around where I live. I always have Sunday's off, which is always nice. Sam and I went out to dinner last night, I had a lobster and seafood platter (mmm...) and he had a basket of clams and a poutine (he always gets a poutine when we go out). It's raining in Fredericton again. I hope it stops soon, we've had pretty crappy weather for 3-4 days straight now. I think we will have a boiled ham dinner tonight, he gets off at 4pm so we will still have time to go get some more potatoes. It's easy and tasty, which is one of the best combinations you can get when cooking. I'm going to bake some brownies....write later! :)

I got the job at Connect North America! It doesn't pay $10.50 an hour, that is Accenture call centre. It pays $9.55 after a month on probation. I reapplied at Accenture and I'm going to go to my interview on friday at Lakeview Inns and Suites. The probation lasts a month and I'm not making anything near $9.55. I must say, putting $9.55 on the advertisement for the job is quite decieving. I also will work 11am-7pm every other Saturday. They will give me part time hours during the school year, so that's something I guess. However, after the months probation, if you haven't met your sales quota, attendance, and positve attitude then your on probation for another 2 weeks. I don't know how much I'm going to like doing outbound calls....people can be rude when they are the ones calling you, I can only imagine how rude they can be when your calling them. I'll go tomorrow and see if it's something that I want to do. A guy called me from Intermax water group while I was on the other line with Jackie to ask me if I was still interested in working for them. This would have been based on reservations for water testing (work from home) but your pay would be based on # of reservations only. I got an email from positive health living to be a promotor for two days(june 9&10), but I don't know how much it pays or what the hours are. I'll see if I can do that, work and go to my interview on Friday. I'll be pushing it, but if I can...I will. It is very sunny up here today! Very nice indeed! I think I'll have chicken tonight for supper. hmmmm......chicken and what?.......I'll figure it out. Oh...I'd like to send a thanks out to Sue for the Stiches gift certificate, I got a nice pair of beige dress pants with it the other day. I'm going to go make a coffee....write later...:)
