Mom called me on Saturday and told me she was to sick to come up and get gizmo, so she's staying until Friday..that'lll be five weeks! I have a midterm on Tomorrow, I got together with a couple of women form my class on Sunday to work on the review questions, it was very helpful. Melissa called me this morning and told me that they were getting to gether again this afternoon. I'm going to go meet them in 10-15mins actually. I was just looking at the exam schedule, I only have 3 exams, but they are all going to be written in two days. I don't want to apply to write on hte rewrite day, cause I'll have to wait a week to do it. I'll see, maybe I will decide that I will, I write my modern soc theory and another one in the same day. That could be hectic. I think I'll go get soemthing to eat......anybody else have crazy exam schedules?

I just noticed that I haven't written in a week, so I figured that I should. Last night Sam and I ate out at Swiss chalet for supper and then went to see the movie "Underworld". I was pleased with both. I had chicken and ribs for diiner and the movie turned out alot better than I had expected. I hadn't seen the first one, but that didn't really matter, they explained it all in the beginning. School is going well. I have to make a pamphlet on the problems associated with nuclear power and have to write a research paper for my young offenders class. The pamphlet I don't think will be overly hard...but the research assignement is given to us on webCT. We see the question and then have 90 minutes to write it out. This is my first research assignment on this program, so I'm not exactly sure how to do it.Oh....Tuesday...at about 3pm I got a bladder infection. Then I had to wait until the medical clinic opened up at 6pm...I got there early, but there were tons of people there before me. I jumped right into line when the window opened and was in talking to the doctor after about half an hour. I figured I only needed 5mins of his time, I knew what I had and even brought the name of the prescription that I wanted. I got my prescription...he only gave me regular strength though, so I took and extra one before bed last night. I'm feeling much better today!! The upside is that my prescription was only $9 and change. Sam has today off too. I took yesterday off cause I wasn't feeling particularly great in the morning and I had a 9am class...so I went back to bed. I go to school every other day, I figure that I can have one sick day. Mom is coming up to Fredericton on Saturday to get Gizmo, Pat let her stay an extra week. That will make her visit the longest one yet...a whole month!! She's nice company when I'm here studying.Anyway I've got to go read some exciting modern sociological theory, blah.....it's a better text than last semester, for my classical theory, at least. Comment :)

my decision to work out today was a bust!! :) Sam and I went to the hilltop for the twisted tuesday bar night that they have and we drank and stayed out way to late. We got home about 2:15am and I had to get up at 8:15am this morning, I hit the snooze button and then ran around trying to get ready....I packed the wrong binder for today's classses, so I have nothing to refer to. Oh well. I got my ring out yesterday from the jewelry store, it was supposed to be sized, but it still feels to big. It's a honking big ring!!!.......and yes I did just write honking....cause that's th only way to describe it. It's really pretty....its got a honking big garnet stone in the shape of a heart in the middle and heart shaped diamonds on the sides. And on ttop of it being pretty....the garnet birthstone is red...just like hearts!! ;) And by the way I've been wathcing the elections debates and stuff, and none of the men running seem to be to enthusiastic about any of the plans they have for Canada. They all just bitch and complain...but there is no enthusiasm for the prospective job that they may be taking on. None of them seem at all exciting about possibly being chosent o help run our country!! none of them!! no wonder people aren't to enthusiastic to go vote...its because no one is being enthusiastic!!...grr.....stupid men.......unenthusiastic....if a woman ran.......enthusiasm galore.......Anyway there is somehting going on downstairs here at school about the potential leaders...I picked up a flyer outlining the liberals plans for education...they sound good....a 50/50 plan. That sounds good....but really I graduate next year.....would I even be eligible for the money??? It's money given in the first and fourth year.....but does that mean that it will be ready this september or september 2007?? I would like to benefit form that plan!! Probably not though...it'll probably take them 4 years to evene get it started.....Anyway I think I seen some tables down stairs that also had some cookies and things...so I'm going to go investigate the possible cookie situation...write later...

Classes went well this week. Its nice to be back into school and have a daily schedule. Lots of reading, but the texts are ok. My modern sociological theory text goes about making the theory points in a kind of confusing matter....I have to keep reminding myself what book I'm reading and what kind of point they are trying to make. I want to fall asleep while reading. My corrections text is interesting and I don't mind reading that though. My communications text is kind of common sense stuff, but easy enough to read. Its pretty snowy in Fredericton today and this evening. It's supposed to be sunny tomorrow though, weird weather!! I have to call mom and let her know that gizmo will have to be picked up this weekend. I don't want to push my luck to much, that'll be alittle over three weeks. I'm glad that I didn't decide to drop that class with Machum. I have her every day, but I like the way that she teaches my society and ecology class. Modern social theory is still taught in her random manner though....with no writing on the board. I guess she doesn't write down her lectures word for word....just key points...it makes it hard when she tells the class something important and we have to ask her to repeat it seven times (b/c its a long paragraph) and it changes each time. I got up early this morning and went to the gym. I've decided to start working out monday, wednesday, and friday. I worked out last wed and fri..and now today. The gym wasn't as busy as I expected.....usually it's packed for the first couple of weeks of the new year...all those resolutions, but it wasn't to bad.Anyway I think I'll go do some more reading....blah...the never ending reading responsabilities....oh well at least they aren't to bad....write later....:)

Hello all!! I am going to buy my corrections text book tomorrow from another student for $30, then I am going to make my way to the book store and buy my other books, hopefully the line won't be as long as it was on Friday. I went down after my classes finished and the line up wrapped around three walls and in between a couple of isles. I went in, got my two books and looked at the line before making my exit. I would have stood in line for an hour to buy 2 books. I actually don't even need a book for my young offenders class, so I gave Karen back her text....its going to be online instead. I'm going to just borrow someones text book for my communications class and photo copy the few sections that we are using. It's a $70 text and the professor isn't even using 3/4 of the chapters in it, what a waste of money. Then for my modern theory class the text isn't to much, but the other book she wants us to get is alot more expensive. The thing with the second text is that she apparently worked hard to get the rights to photocopy it and put it in a repotext, the bookstore ordered it so now she wants us to buy the expensive text over the (usually) much cheaper repotext. For my Society and Ecology class the same proff (Machum) forgot to order the books, so we won't even be able to buy them for 4-6 weeks. She's a pretty good professor in her marks and evaluations, but she is pretty burnt otherwise. I've had a nice weekend though. Friday Sam, Mark and I sat around talking and having a couple beers...on Saturday we all went out to the Cellar, there was a live band playing.....and tonight we are going to a belated birthday celebration for Joe at Dooly's. My first class isn't until 11:30am tomorrow. We got Joe a funny card....it says on the front "Happy birthday from a couple that admire and respect you"........open it........"Just Kidding...it's from us" . I like it, I got it for pretty cheap at the Hallmark store, which is apparently going out of business. Anyway I'm going to go watch some CSI.....comment!! :)

Hey!! I finally got all of my marks....about 5minutes ago. The grade that I had been waiting for turned out to be a B-. The professor teahes in lecture only though....no hand outs to help and no writing on the board....and she talks really fast. So by the time your finished writing the a sentence...she's already said four more and it can get confusing. I'm thinking about getting a tape recorder. Hopefully I can get one cheap, I've never even considered getting one until now, but I have this professor for two classes this semester. Anyway...back to today...which was my first day back.I was supposed to have 3 classes today. I went to my first one at 9am. She told us about the course and we left after abut half an hour (it is supposed to run until 10:20am). Then I have a break...which is helpful during the year b/c you can prepare for the next class....but is really boring in the first week or two when there is nothing to do. Then my next one started at 11:30am. We got there (myself and a couple of girls that I knew from my classical soc theory class) and we waited for 15 minutes and no one showd up, so we all left (supposed to run until 12:20pm). It turned out that we all were in the same modern theory class at 1:30pm so we all just hung out and talked by tim hortons until class. We got there and waited....and waited some more....and still no one.....so yet again....after waiting all day...we were stood up by a professor. So I wasted my whole day waiting for classes that didn't even happen. However while we were waiting my friend Karen invited Melissa and I to a party on Friday the 13th....and it was nice catching up with them while we were waiting. But still, these professors didn't even call the class cancellation phone line or anything. That pisses me off to no end. Proffessors can do what ever they want ( hand things back late, put grades in to the registrar late, miss deadlines altogether, not show up, and have no one to be accountable to). When Karen and I were talking she mentioned that she was a TA and gave me some info about some of the proffs and a couple of warnings about who not to take. In the proffs mentioned not to take she told me not to take O'Regan, I told her that I had taken her last semester (twice) and she gave me her sympathy. While talking I mentioned that I was taking Young offenders and the Juvenile Justice System and she told me taht she had the text, I asked her if she wanted to sell it, but she said she wanted to keep it and that I could borrow it for the semester and just return it when I was finished. That's like $40+ saved. She wanted to keep it b/c it has the Youth Criminal Justice act in the back. I already have the criminal code 2006 which includes the YCJA, so I won't be missing anything when I return it. Anyway Jackie just called me about 5mins ago and invited me to go for a walk and tea and generally hang out before we both get to busy....so I'll write later :)

I still haven't gotten all of my marks!! I still have professor Machums missing!! I hate this. Professors have no one to be accountable to and just slack off and don't follow deadlines themselves!!! There is a reason that the marks are supposed to be in by a certain date, and this is it!! So that students don't have to go into a semester not knowing what their GPA is!! Classes begin tomorrow!! I have my first one at 9am. Blah....but I heard the professor was good from a good source. The 9am class is only Wednesday and Friday though, so I still get to sleep in on Monday, Tuesday and Thursday. My first class on those days isn't until 11:30am. One bonus to my new schedule is that I'm done everyday by 2:20pm. I really didn't like having a class that ran until 3:50pm last semester. Hopefully all goes well this semester. My New Years resolution is to read my text books more and not to rely on my notes so heavily (even though I take awesome notes and go every day). I will put more time into reading and re-reading the text books.....damn you CSI!!! Cable can be such a distraction from any tasks that should be done. Anyone else make any New Years resolutions?? I'm wearing my super fuzzy sweater and scarf right now and am enjoying it immensely!! Tonight is date night and Sam and I are going to see fun with Dick and Jane, I like Jim Carrey, so hopefully it will be entertaining. I have a 50minute break in between my classes on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday.....which I enjoy having b/c it gives me time to prepare for my class and finish any assignments or readings that I need to do. I think I'll look for a part time job this semester too. It's so depressing though, I really don't wnat to work for minimum wage b/c it hardly seems worth it, but that's all that is available for part time workers.I think I might appy at some places in the village center...its just next door and most places close by 9pm. I'll look in the newspaper too, but I really want something close to home, so that I don't have to spend alot of time getting there and back again. I still want to have enough time for school work. I'm sure I'll figure something out. Anyway gotta go get something to eat......commment on what your resolutions are, if any....

Hello All!! New Years Eve was fun. Allison and I drank for a bit before heading out to the Hilltop to meet Sam and Joe. We got there (didn't have to pay cover b/c our boyfriends work there...bonus) Sam had already paid for some beers.....well actually Johnny bought us the beers, but bought them under Sams work number so he could get them cheaper. Sam just kept bringing me drinks all night, I only bought us 2 and he bought the rest....it was nice. We had also gone out to Dooly's with Allison, Joe, Krista, Pete, and Johnny on Friday night.Sam got off at 11pm and Joe was working, but we hung out with him some. We danced and kissed at the New Years count down. They dropped balloons all over everyone one the dance floor. We had alot of fun. I'm glad that we decided to stay out instead of going to Johnny's house. School starts in 3 days and I still only have 2 out of 5 of my marks. I really would have liked to have seen my mark for Professort Machums class (I have her for 2 classes this semester)....I think I'll call the school on Monday and see if they have them and just haven't posted them on the web advisor. Happy New Year Everyone!!!! Hope your Year goes well!! :)
