All week I've been making plans for Sam and I to take a trip to PEI. We had alot of fun when we went last time and we figured it would be nice to go again. This time we are staying at a bed and breakfast that is close to everything still. I ordered a PEI travel guide and there is alot of interesting stuff that we didn't even do last time. We are leaving Fredericton on Monday, June 18th at 11am. We get into Charlottetown at 4:50pm. Then coming back home on the 24th, Sunday. Just in time to get something to eat. Last time we went to all the historical landmarks and got alot of the history of the fathers of confederation. This time we are going to go do entertaining things. There is a dinner theatre a couple of blocks from the Inn that I'm going to make reservations at. There is a tour of Charlottetown on the "harbour hippo", it goes on land and water, so we are going to get tickets for that. We are also thinking of spending a day in Cavendish to take in some of the sites there. There is a company in Charlottetown that does day trips to Cavendish beach (same company that runs the harbour hippo). We are going to go to the Gahan house brewery again though, mom said she wants me to pick her up a 'growler' (64oz of the ale brewed on site), it was really good. I'm also going to get another one. There are also a alot of cruises that we can take that sound interesting. I love planning stuff and I am having a ton of fun planning this trip. Sam, is more laid back and told me we should just go to Charlottetown and see what's available for accomodations (he said this while I was trying to find us a place). Just go down!! No plans!! What a wacky idea!! Plans are very important when travelling to another province, city or anywhere (I think anyway). June 18th, is the first day of the Charlottetown Festival as well, so I'm sure it would be a busy time for travellers, go with no reservations!hmph! This time we are going to try oysters, I was looking through the travellers guide and I guess they are popular in Charlottetown. I've never had them before, I wonder what they taste like? I hope the weather is good for our trip. I booked the time off from work a little late, so my supervisor is unsure about vacation pay, but I can make up the hours the week before anyway. At least they know that I'm not going to be there. I can just work alot of extra days to make some extra cash. Sam has quite alittle bit of money put away for this trip as well, he has been "banking" any extra hours at work and adding them to his vacation pay for the last few months. He is now a closer a couple of times a week. The restaurant didn't want to make anyone a new supervisor after the last one left, so they just pay Sam and another guy more when they close. I prefer it that way anyway, so that he doesn't have to close all the time. I know, I work evenings and I'm not home until 11pm anyway, but I like that he doesn't have to give up his awesome day shifts. Tomorrow is Memorial day in the U.S, so I have tomorrow off b/c work isn't even open. Oh, I sold a DSL internet package the other day, it's only the 2nd one that I've sold in a year, it was really confusing, but my supervisor was right there and helped alot. I think I get a bonus of some sort every time I sell DSL. I learned that we are also going to get a bonus for our sales in the LEC campaign that I sell in all the time. I like bonuses, I'm a big fan and will welcome any and all with open arms! :) I've been looking online for jobs more related to my majors, but the only there's not much, something about a parole officer, but there was alot of travel involved. I'll just keep looking. I'm going to get something to eat...write later

I'm all for travelling and being spontaneous, but not when going to a tourist destination like PEI. It will be packed! We usually book around now for the NB Day weekend and it's still hard to find a spot. If you were just taking a road trip, then sure, be adventurous and go where the wind blows you but not PEI (unless its the off season). I also recommend Alma and the Fundy Nature Park. I love Alma!

Sounds like you have it all under control. Your so organized!! I'm glad your having fun planning it too!!
Oysters, huh??? Try them, you might like them. You have to try them once in your life time. Then you can say you did, or didn't like them.
I think that you need to give at least one month notice, to have your vacation time paid out. If you don't get it before you go away, you'll have it when you get home.
Hey,.... way to go on selling your 2nd DSL internet pkg. Bonuses are very NICE!!! sweet!! :)
Your going to have a awesome vacation in PEI. The weather is alot like frederiction, very humit and warm!!
Luv ya
