I've had a fun week. Tuesday night after work I arrived home and there was a message from Jackie inviting me to join her and her roommate at the Hilltop for her rommmates (Angie) birthday celebrations. But there was no way to get ahold of her, she didn't have her cell phone. Being the brave individuaL that I am however I risked going all by myself and hoping they were there (Sam also offered to pay for my cab there, so if they weren't there I would only have to pay for a cab home). I arrived and thankfully they were all there. We danced and drank beers and had alot of fun. Also Angie's husband didn't drink at all and was able to drive me home. So I didn't have to pay for a cab at all. Wednesday afternoon, at about 2:45pm Jackie showed up at my apartment and convinced me not to go into work for extra hours (which wasn't hard). However if I was going to skip work, we had to actually go do something. So we decided to go over to the mall and get a fancy Starbucks drink of some sort. We both tried the rasberry mocha frappacino, which was very disappointing and didn't have very much rasberry flavor. We walked out and seen the theatre, which prompted us to decide to go see a movie. That was still in the afternoon, so we went to her apartment and had supper (Salmon and rice, thanks for supper Jack!). At about 6pm we left and went to see the Bourne Ultimatum and really enjoyed it. There are alot of movies recently that are part of a trilogy. She also invited me to a tentative staff party the next day. I called her from work on Thursday to see if the plan had come together (I would have just met them at the tannery after work) and everyone had bailed out. Which was good for me anyway, cause I really couldn't afford it. We are moving in six days!! Wow! It makes me alittle sad because this place has been our home for three years, but I'm glad that the packing and moving will be over soon. I also finally got some definate information from Luke about our moving plans. We are moving both apartments on August 30th, and cleaning on the 31st. We went to Hannahs tonight for supper and both got there daylight hours special. It came with an appetizer, entree, two sides, and desert for $9.95. I had a salad, turkey and dressing with mashed potatoes and carrotts, I brought my cake home. Sam got soup, 2 fish pieces with a potato and a poutine and cake as well. It came to $29 and change plus $5 for a tip. Not bad at all. Sam and I rented the movie 23 with Jim Carrie to watch tonight. Its a psychological thriller. The main character becomes obsessed with a novel he believes was written about him. As more similarities seem to arise he becomes obsessed with the number 23. It looks like a good movie and it will be interesting to see Jim Carrie do a movie like this, instead of his usual funny characters. More on that later. Well I'm going to go play wratchet and clank on the PS2, mom lent it to me and I'm doing pretty well. :)

We saw "The Number 23" in theatre. It's quite good: I love the film noir/pulp fiction style stuff they do throughout.
I prefer Jim Carey when he's not trying (too hard) to be funny. He's a surprisingly good actor.
