I took Gizmo to the animal hospital on Monday. The vet seemed to like Gizmo alot. She puppy talked to her and got down on the floor to pat her. It was a bladder infection. The vet did a urinalysis and gave Gizmo some pills and drops to take. The pills she has to take every twelve hours and the drops just calm her stomach and I give those after the pill once a day. It cost me $108 + cab fare!! What an expensive trip that was! But Gizmo started feeling better a couple of hours after I gave her the first pill. I've had bladder infections before and they are really uncomfortable. I'm just glad that I figured out what was wrong and was able to take care of her. I worked last night, but the dialer was down for the first 20mins, so we just sat there and got paid, which was awesome! I'm going in tonight for extra hours and tomorrow is my scheduled shift. I have Friday off and then work on Saturday. Pat told me that she is showing the apartment to two different people on Saturday. I told her that Sam and I both work, but she said that she would just say Gizmo is visiting for the weekend. What a pain in the ass moving is going to be. I'm just not going to mention that I have a little dog. If it doesn't say in the ad "no pets" and it doesn't say anything in the lease, I'm just not going to tell anybody. There are lots of places downtown that are houses converted into apartments. I don't think having a dog would be to much of an issue in those types of apartments. In July I think I'll start looking for a place, but right now is just to soon. only 12 more days until our trip!! Woohoo! I am so exciting to be taking a vacation and just relaxing for a week. The drive there is only 5 hours, so it's not like we'll be stuck on a bus forever. I think I'm going to bring my bottle to Charlottetown and get it filled at the Gahan house brewery. I paid 10$ for it, so I my did's well get another use out of it. I don't know when mom and Rich are coming to get Gizmo, June 17th is fathers day, if they come up then, I could treat Rich and mom to lunch or supper. I better go get ready for work....write later!
P.S: I don't remember the trip that mom and Sue are talking about, but I do know I don't like camping, we are staying at a bed and breakfast!! :)

Jackie and I went out last night and had a blast!! We began the day with a with a liquer store/grocery trip at about 4:30pm. We got a pizza for supper and headed back to Jackie's to get ready. After supper, we thought Jackie could use a new bar shirt and went to winners, penningtons, and finally zellers (where she found a shirt, but decided not to wear it to the bar). After getting ready and splitting a fuzzy duck, we went to my apartment and played wheel of fortune online and drank some more. We had three more fuzzy ducks, a couple daiquiri's and split a giant beer of some sort. We headed downtown at about 10:30pm, and began the night at Nickyzee's. They had cheap drinks, but after having three drinks Jackie and I decided to go over to Sweetwaters. It was much busier and we had alot of fun dancing and drinking over there. At one point in the evening we were at the rodeo and seen three people line dancing, they didn't look like they were there together, but were all dancing the same. It was pretty neat to watch, one of the line dancers gave Jackie a big hug when she told him he danced well. Gizmo has been acting kind of weird the last couple of days. When we are outside for a walk she stops frequently and tries to go pee. I looked it up online and it said that when dogs do that they might have a urinary tract infection. I'm going to call and see if I can get her in to see the vet on Monday. I hope that it's nothing painful for her. I have the card of a cab driver that said that he would let me have a little dog in the car. My cheque didn't get deposited into my account Friday. I called work and I guess there was a problem and no one got direct deposit. I have to wait until Monday to go get my cheque. What a pain in the ass!! I'm getting very excited about our upcoming trip to PEI, only 16 days until we go! :) I'm going to go get something to eat, write later

Sunday, May 27, 2007

All week I've been making plans for Sam and I to take a trip to PEI. We had alot of fun when we went last time and we figured it would be nice to go again. This time we are staying at a bed and breakfast that is close to everything still. I ordered a PEI travel guide and there is alot of interesting stuff that we didn't even do last time. We are leaving Fredericton on Monday, June 18th at 11am. We get into Charlottetown at 4:50pm. Then coming back home on the 24th, Sunday. Just in time to get something to eat. Last time we went to all the historical landmarks and got alot of the history of the fathers of confederation. This time we are going to go do entertaining things. There is a dinner theatre a couple of blocks from the Inn that I'm going to make reservations at. There is a tour of Charlottetown on the "harbour hippo", it goes on land and water, so we are going to get tickets for that. We are also thinking of spending a day in Cavendish to take in some of the sites there. There is a company in Charlottetown that does day trips to Cavendish beach (same company that runs the harbour hippo). We are going to go to the Gahan house brewery again though, mom said she wants me to pick her up a 'growler' (64oz of the ale brewed on site), it was really good. I'm also going to get another one. There are also a alot of cruises that we can take that sound interesting. I love planning stuff and I am having a ton of fun planning this trip. Sam, is more laid back and told me we should just go to Charlottetown and see what's available for accomodations (he said this while I was trying to find us a place). Just go down!! No plans!! What a wacky idea!! Plans are very important when travelling to another province, city or anywhere (I think anyway). June 18th, is the first day of the Charlottetown Festival as well, so I'm sure it would be a busy time for travellers, go with no reservations!hmph! This time we are going to try oysters, I was looking through the travellers guide and I guess they are popular in Charlottetown. I've never had them before, I wonder what they taste like? I hope the weather is good for our trip. I booked the time off from work a little late, so my supervisor is unsure about vacation pay, but I can make up the hours the week before anyway. At least they know that I'm not going to be there. I can just work alot of extra days to make some extra cash. Sam has quite alittle bit of money put away for this trip as well, he has been "banking" any extra hours at work and adding them to his vacation pay for the last few months. He is now a closer a couple of times a week. The restaurant didn't want to make anyone a new supervisor after the last one left, so they just pay Sam and another guy more when they close. I prefer it that way anyway, so that he doesn't have to close all the time. I know, I work evenings and I'm not home until 11pm anyway, but I like that he doesn't have to give up his awesome day shifts. Tomorrow is Memorial day in the U.S, so I have tomorrow off b/c work isn't even open. Oh, I sold a DSL internet package the other day, it's only the 2nd one that I've sold in a year, it was really confusing, but my supervisor was right there and helped alot. I think I get a bonus of some sort every time I sell DSL. I learned that we are also going to get a bonus for our sales in the LEC campaign that I sell in all the time. I like bonuses, I'm a big fan and will welcome any and all with open arms! :) I've been looking online for jobs more related to my majors, but the only there's not much, something about a parole officer, but there was alot of travel involved. I'll just keep looking. I'm going to get something to eat...write later

Haven't written in awhile and figured I should. I got a wack of cards last week. One from Irene with $20 in it, when I called to thank her she couldn't wait to get off the phone!! What a waste of the .25 cents I used to 411 her phone number. The call lasted 18 seconds!! I also got a card from Chance Harbour, I assumed it was from someone on Richards side of the family. This uncle Lawrence and aunt Marion referenced missing my grandfather (I assumed they meant Harold) and that they wished they had gotten to know me bettter. I called mom and it turned out that they are on the Flower side of the family. They are related to Irene. I'm going to get a thank you card and send it to them, it was thoughtful of them to send me a congratulations card when they don't even know me. I also got a card from, umm...how was it worded?..hmmm......The best aunt in the whole wide world. Sue sent me a very nice card with $50 in it!! I was very happy to see that arrive!!Thanks Sue!! :) Friday M om and Sue drove up to Fredericton to get me, we went to Starbucks and then back to Saint John to pick up Cole at school. We went out east to the new urban earth store (i think that's what it's called) it is exactly the same stuff as a stiches store, even the same brand-Bongo. We didn't see much out east so we them went to the Giant Tigar. I found alot of stuff that I liked, especially a nice dress, but none of it fit when I tried it on, there was alot of material to cover an ass that I just don't have. Saturday we got up early and went over to Sue's to pick she and Cole up. We dropped him off at the movie theatre to meet his grandmother and went to a new liquidation store on Rothsay avenue. I got a nice pair of black sandals for 12$. We all headed back to Sue's and hung out there for a little while until Mom wanted to go home (she has a cist on her side that they popped at the hospital and left a whole on her side that she has to keep pushing the stuff out of, eww....sorry mom, but it made me cringe). So we didn't do to much on Saturday. We rented a couple of movies, we watched Half Nelson with Ryan Gosling first. It really wasn't good, there was no character development at all. The movie kind of started in the middle of a story but never explained anything. Mom left after about 45mins to go to bed. I turned it off about another 30mins of the undeveloped story. All I got from it was that he was a history teacher, and coach that was hooked on heavy drugs. We didn't have time to watch the other one. Today I woke up feeling alittle homesick, so I got Richard to drive me home today instead of tomorrow. Saturday night Richard surprised mom and I with some lobster! We had eatten, but made room for some lobster, they were really good. I still had a body to bring home with me. Mom also gave me a package of frozen scallops. Sam and I can have those tomorrow, I'm pretty sure that there is a package of bacon in the freezer. I think I'll go break up that lobster body now...mmmm....

HAPPY MOTHERS DAY MOM!!!! I'll treat you to something when I'm in Saint John next weekend. Get Richard to take you out for dinner today or tomorrow (it might not be as busy). So, work is going well enough, still easy and flexible. I slept in today, Sam and I had a couple of drinks last night and hung out with Tina and Steve. I looked online and the classifieds are full of apartments for rent, I don't think I'll have to much trouble finding a place. If push comes to shove I'll rent in a building with not to many apartments and an off site landlord. That way I can just keep Gizmo a secret if need be. Sam and I went to the Hilltop last night for dinner. The food was good and the menu was very big, with lots to choose from. We will probably go there more often now. Gizmo and Snowball are doing well, both are happy (i think). Jackie and I went to see "Georgia Rule" on Friday. It was a cute movie. We also stopped over at Walmart and I was able to get Gizmo some more food. I'm going to go figure out what to have for supper......:)

Graduation day was awesome!! I got up in the morning and got ready for the rehearsal at 10am. That lasted until about 11am. Mom, Lisa and Richard arrived at my place at about 12:30pm. We decided to take the car to STU at 1pm and luckily were able to find a parking spot. Although some guy in a ridiculously large truck almost backed into us. Mom, Richard, Sam and Lisa went and got seats while I went into James Dunn to get instructions with the other graduates. It weas alittle discouraging the amount of time that the university allotted for the graduates to get into apohabeticla order. Seriously, we just finished a degree and there were posters on the wall for each letter. Still they thought we needed 45+minutes to do this. Then went and sat for a long time for the graduates to get their hood and alumni card. Apparently beng a member of the alumni gets people really good discounts on their insurance. hmm.... I got a bad burn on my chest where the gown opened and my dress went into a V neck. It feels hot and achy all the time, I've been putting moisturizer on it, but it still aches. Mom and Richard got my diploma framed in an expensive frame and St thomas mattt, with the crest, (thanks guys!), they also picked up my yearbook and the composite of all the grads. Mom got me a gift bag of stuff as well. Then we all went Swiss Chalet for supper. It was a really nice day. Beautiful weather, nice company, and good food! I worked last night and made 4 sales, which was a good number for our team and the campaign that we were in. I'm going to go in today to work some extra hours. I work tomorrow as well and Saturday. It works out very nicely to work this weekend, because it leaves me free to go to Saint John for Lisa's musical next weekend. Mom said she would pick me up on Friday and Jackie is also going home (to N.S) that weekend and offered to drive me home on Monday, thanks!! Then I work Tuesday... I think this will be a very nice summer. I'm not going to look for an apartment for another month or so, because they are all available to soon. I didn't realize, but most people don't look for apartments 4or 5 months before they need it, hmph! Our lease isn't over until August 31st, 2007, so I'm going to wait until late June,July to start looking again. The guy that I was going to take the apartment from (with the small bedroom) was very nice about me backing out (I told him I couldn't afford it right now) and he said to check back when I need an apartment, maybe something will be available. He seemed very nice and the tenants seemed happy with him as well. If the bedroom wasn't so small we would have taken it. The tenants said that there was an apartment upstairs, so maybe that would be larger. I could always ask about that (when the time comes). Gotta get something to eat....write later

Sunday, May 06, 2007

We went to see the apartment yesterday. It was a nice place. There is only one other apartment above ours in the whole building. The deck was small, but the yard was big. The bedroom is quite small though. I think my bed and maybe a night table will fit in, but nothing else. There is a large, unfinished back shed off the kitchen where we can store our bikes and stuff. They didn't have a measuring tape and I had forgotten mine, so I didn't gt a chance to measure the rooms. The kitchen is a good size and our table will fit. It was a little drafty, but I'm sure I could figure out a way to fix that. I emailed the landlord last night and told him that we would like to take the apartment. One problem though, if we can't find a tenant by the end of this month, we are responsible for June's rent at this apartment as well. Which is weird b/c Pat said that she would let us out of our lease, as long as we told her as soon as we knew when we were moving. I suppose, 3 weeks is really short notice. Sam liked the apartment right away. He didn't need any time to think about it. For people that know me, you know I worry. Last night I was worrying until at least 3:30am about my bed fitting in the bedroom. It is a really awkward room. I don't want to move into a place that my bed won't even fit, although, now that I think about it, they had a double bed and dresser in the room, so My bed will fit at least. The apartment above us is vacant until July 1st. The livingroom is a really ugly bright blue though, so we would have to paint. It is only a 15min walk from King street. I'm going to go to the grad mass today. I'm meeting Anne at her apartment and we are just going to walk down to the school together. I should take the puppy out for a walk though. Write later...

Sam and I had a nice weekend. We were picked up in Fredericton by my mom. We got to SJ and dropped Gizmo and Snowball off at mom and Richards house and arrived at Sams parents alittle later. It was a nice retirement party. Barb had made so much food and treats, it was ridiculous. The kids were all at a babysitters, so it was just the adults, which was nice b/c we were drinking. One of John's friends was the designated driver for the evening and drove a wack of people home, so Sam and I didn't even have to pay the ridiculous cab fair to Westgate. Sunday, mom had a potluck/bbq. Again there was alot of food and drinking. It was a nice evening. Thanks! My friend Tasha came to the potluck, it was really nice seeing her. I almost had an appointment to see the apartment for this Friday, but Sam called me and told me he was working until 8pm. So, I emailed the guy and we are all trying to coordinate schedules to see the apartment. It's available for June 1st, so we'd be moving at the end of this month!! But it sounds like a nice place (with a backyard) and they will let me have gizmo, so I think this is just what I'm looking for. it would still be close to a grocery store, bank and coffee place (I think Robins).Anne, Jackie and I are going to hang out together today. We have a plan to go for tea downtown at 4ish. Well gotta get something to eat....

Friday, April 27, 2007

So, at 3pm I called the landlord on her cell phone (she had told me to). No answer, I left a message. Then I called her cell and home phone at 3:15pm, cell at 3:30pm, and 4pm. No answer. What a shitty landlord she would be if a tenant or possible tenant can't even contact her. I was looking online for other apartments and nothing new is there. I don't know what I'm going to do. I really don't want our quality of living to go down and have to live in a shit hole to have Gizmo. This is ridiculous!! I am so frustrated. I don't want to have to hide Gizmo all the time just to live in a decent apartment. Sam and I went out to dinner at Smitty's tonight and he bought his father a retirement present and card. So the evening was nice, but the day very disappointing. Wish me luck in my search for an apartment, I'll need it!:(

Thursday, April 26, 2007

I called that landlord and set up an appointment to see the apartment on Friday. The lady told me that she would have to get ahold of the current tenants and set it up, just call her at 3pm on Friday to double check that our appointment is still on for 5pm. It was really hard to get in touch with her. She works days and into the evening and I work evenings. I was just talking to Pat and I guess that an apartment downstairs brought a dog to stay with them without even asking her. So, she wants Gizmo to go to Saint John for a week or two. That will work out ok I think b/c we are going to sj this weekend and then mom and Richard are coming up a week later for my graduation. The other day the girl upstairs who has a dog, but keeps it indoors all the time was outside with her dog (which is a little bigger than Gizmo) and Gizmo went over to introduce herself and the other dog was terrified of her! It was making sounds and sticking close to the owner. This dog is almost a year old and Gizmo is the first dog it had ever seen!! She keeps it locked in the apartment all the time and litter trained the dog. I hope this apartment is a decent size, its a one bedroom again. We wanted a two bedroom, but Gizmo limits what we can get. This is the only landlord, in the entire city, that will allow small animals. I told her I have a little dog. Well there was another landlord, but the apartments were quite a bit more expensive and you had to get tenant insurance as well. Anyway gotta get something to eat. Write later.

Monday, April 23, 2007

I just noticed that I haven't posted in a week and figured that it was time to do so. I have been so lazy this last week!! I mean ridiculously lazy, well I cleaned, but it's so weird to have no committments other than work. I don't have to read boring articles that I'm not interested in, no writing essays. It's great! So, Sam and I are going to Saint John this coming Saturday for his dad's retirement party. I'm not to sure what else our visit will consist of, but it should be interesting. I'm not really looking to hard for another job. I don't think anything decent will be available until August or September anyway. I did apply for the Federal student work experience program, so maybe something will come of that. I work enough to pay the bills and have some spending money and it's working out well enough. Working at connect is really felxible too. I can pick up as many hours as I want and only "have" to be there twice a week and every other Saturday. I worked it so that I can leave at 3pm on Saturday to go to Saint John. My supervisor said it was fine as long as I made up the 3 hours, which I had on last Wednesday. I may have found an apartment downtown on Aberdeen street for September that will allow Gizmo. I talked to the landlord, Ms Phil Williams, a couple of times. I'm pretty sure the apartment is available for September, which would work out really well. It is less than what we are paying here, I hope it's not tiny. I still have to call and set up an appointment to go see it. The only thing is that it is a 12 month lease again, and I really didn't want to have to be stuck in a place. Oh well, having Gizmo limits my options. Jackie was talking to the landlord of the apartments down the street and I'm unsure of exactly what he told her, something about hiding the fact that we have a dog. I don't want to get evicted from a place though.I don't think that would be very good. I'll ask her later when I see her. Well, I'm going to go get showered and dressed......:)

Monday, April 16, 2007

So, we went to see the apartment toda at 2pm, I had made the appointment on Friday. We walked throught the hail to get there and when we arrived and knocked on all the apartment doors looking for Ryan, he was no where to be found. Thankfully Sam had his cell phone and we had brought his number. We called and told him we were outside the building for our appointment and he said that he had already rented the apartment and just forgot to call and tell us. So there we were, in the hail, not very happy. We walked to STU to hand in my last assignment, got a cofffee and then took a cab to Smitty's. Sam treated us to lunch and then we hung out and went to the pet section of Walmart. It was good, I needed some pine shavings for the bunny and some dog food for Gizmo. I'm done school!! All done. If I don't want to get up until 12pm tomorrow or later, I don't have to! I work tomorrow, but don't have to catch the bus until 3:58pm. I really wish there was some job placement programs or a job placement type of thing for graduates at STU. There is nothing to help the graduates find a job. Hopefully some stuff will become available in May or June. I don't know what we are going to do about apartments. Landlords in this city are completely against tenants with pets, especially dogs. I don't want to live in a dump to have Gizmo. I have to give my notice for this place June 1st/07 and I was hoping to have found a place before I give my notice. Oh well I still have all of May to find a place. I'll just have to walk around and look for signs that say apartment for rent, I'd like to stay in this area, we're close to everything. Wish me Luck....

Sunday, April 15, 2007

I only have one more thing due tomorrow and then I'm DONE!!! Done writing stupid research papers that no one cares about 5 seconds after you hand then into your professor (who doesn't ever appreciate how much work you put into it, or how vague their instructions were). No more sitting through lectures and taking multiple pages of notes. No more!! Ahhh......I can just imagine it now...sitting around after work (whereever that may be) and doing nothing, that's right nothing, because you can finish whatever needs to be done at work the next day. hmmm....I clean when I procrastinate....I wonder...when I don't have assignments to procrastinate doing....what will I do? We are going to look at a 2 bedroom apartment tomorrow at 2pm. I'm not getting my hopes up at all this time. It's available for July 1st, so we'd have to tell Pat right away if we were to take it, so that we could all try and find someone. But she said she has people calling about 1 bedrooms already and it's easier to rent for July. The landlord sounded pretty laid back about me having Gizmo too. I asked about the apartment and then asked him what his policy was on pets, dogs specifically. He said that they were allowed as long as they weren't loud. When I told him I had a little shitzu he laughed and said that it was fine. Jackie is moving July 1st as well. She and Mike are going to get a two bedroom in the same building, possibly on the same floor, so moving won't be to much hassle. I wrote my assignment all day today and I think it turned out pretty well, this professor wasn't as vague as the others. I got up at 9am this morning for some crazy reason, I don't know why, I could've slept in. Now I'm getting kinda tired...yawn...I think I'll take a nap, maybe....I would like some ice cream though...hmmm

Thursday, April 12, 2007

The apartment was, well.....a basement apartment. I knew that it was, but I kinda forgot what that meant. Well, it meant that it was very chopped up. The bathroom was tiny, only having a shower stall, which was o.k cause I don't take baths, but it was ridiculously tiny. The first bedroom was off of the kitchen and had no closet and was not very big. The second bedroom was small, but had a closet and the kitchen was really tiny. I don't know if I've ever mentioned this before, but I have a really bad fear of falling down stairs. I'm pretty sure that's the way that my life will end, me & a set of steep stairs. So, my point is, this apartment had the Steepest stairs in the World, and seeing how I foresee my death involving stairs, I'm not put steep ones into my life any earlier than need be. So that didn't work out, BUT I was looking online today (even though I told mom I wouldn't) and I seen a 2 bedroom apartment available for July 1st, so I called and the guy said he was o.k with a small dog. We are going to go see it on Monday, it's only a block away from where we live now. It's on regent, which is not ideal, but having a Gizmo limits my options, so I can't be to picky about location. As long as it's on the Southside. OH!! I had my gerontology exam this morning and I think I did really well, I'm feeling confident. I got done in 45mins. There were people who got done before me too. The midterm was ridiculously hard and no one did well, so I think she made the final easier to bring the class gpa up. It was multiple choice, true/false, and fill in the blank!! No short answer questions or anything!! Woohoo!! I also finished typing up my sociology of religion final that is due tomorrow, so that'll be done. After that I just have to write my development issues final paper and I'll be done with University!! The job market in this city blows! I am really going to have to do some serious job hunting. I'll stay at Connect for now, while I'm searching, but I do not want to work in a call center for the rest of my life, blah!! Anyway gotta get ready for work....

Thursday, April 05, 2007

I was looking at the information board at school the other day and seen an apartment that is available for September 2007.I called about it, cause there wasn't much information on the sign. It is a 2 bedroom, heat and cable included 630$ month. It is right on Montgomery street, which is only a block away from where we live now. That's less than what we are paying for this 1 bedroom. It is a basement apartment, but heat is included so I'm not to concerned about it. I think the woman said that her and her boyfriend live upstairs, so I think it's the whole bottom floor of a house. She said that they don't allow pets, but I told her that I had a little dog, who had been to an obediance school (puppy playschool), has all of her needles and is quiet. She said that they would want to meet Gizmo before they decided, which is great, cause everyone likes her when they meet her. I hope it's an actual two bedroom apartment, with doors and everything, not just area's curtained off. I hope I'm not setting my expectations to high (dripping with sarcasm). It would relieve alot of stress if this apartment turns out to be nice. I could then give Pat my notice and know where we are going to be living. Mom was going to come up today, but the weather foiled our plans, she said she will come up tomorrow if the weather is better. That would work out even better, because she would be able to drive Sam, Gizmo and I down to see the apartment tomorrow at 2pm. That way Gizmo wouldn't get wet and would be looking (and smelling) her best. I had my last class this morning!! I am almost completely finished my time at university, I am so excited! I have two big assignments due on Tuesday, one written exam on Thursday the 12, and one takehome due on Friday (the 13, hmm...). My graduation is May 7th/07!! I am so excited to be done school, wondering what I'll do for work, but I applied for a wack of government stuff for recent graduates. I worked yesterday instead of today (because mom was coming up) and I think my supervisor tried to work it so that I could get paid for Friday. It would be nice, but I didn't expect it either way, so it doesn't really make a difference to me. It was nice of her to try though. I gotta do some cleaning, write later...

Friday, March 30, 2007

Pat said that Gizmo can stay in Fredericton with me all summer, so moving isn't as urgent as I thought it was going to be. I'll try to find a place for September. There might be a place downtown on a little off street that allows small pets, she said a small dog would be o.k. I have to call the woman again and ask when the apartment is going to be available. My friend Lisa from work also is going to ask her landlord about the other apartments available in her house (there are 4 or 5 apartments in total). Hers is huge and she had a huge dog. She said that the owners were pretty good about animals. But she pays $900 I think, so I don't know if we could even afford an apartment in that buiding. I have a huge assignment to do for my advanced research methods class. She gave us an 8 day extension, because she finally realized that no one in the class understands what to do. My friend Rose is in that class and she talks alot, I told her that I wasn't to sure about what to do. She then began to tell me what she thought we were supposed to do. Which didn't really make sense and she kept talking while I was trying (very obviously) to read about the assignment. So I got just about nothing done in that class and then had to go to my religion class and hand in an assignment and sit through another presentation, yawn!! I have to finish my portfolio for my developmental issues class. I only have 4 days of school left, woohoo!!! I am so sick and tired of doing research and writing essays, and sitting through ridiculously boring lectures. Sam is being great about me looking for a new apartment so that we can have Gizmo! We rather not move, but he is begin so great about it. He bought me the newspaper the other day, just to see if it had anything different than the online one. I looked online and it turns out that the Ol'Roy dog food that I buy Gizmo was one of the dog foods that got recalled for being contaminated with rat poisoning!! I have 4 or 5 boxes under the cupboard, but I'm just going to return them. I haven't had a chance to get to the grocery store to buy some pedigree(one that wasn't recalled), so she got a can of flaked chicken today, spoiled dog! Although a can of flaked chicken is cheaper than the dog food that I bought yesterday at the pet store next door. It cost me $2.27!! For a regular can of dog food!! Well gotta go get some lunch...

We went to look at the apartment yesterday. The house itself looked really nice, so I was pretty excited. Turns out that the basement had been chopped up into two ridiculously small apartments. The one that we looked at was supposed to be a 1 bedroom, but the girl has said that it could be made into a two bedroom. I figured it would be a pretty big place. The actual "bedroom" wasn't even a real bedroom. It was a curtain that had been hung across part of the kitchen and the girl had a double bed and nothing else and that barely fit. The other space that could be converted into a bedroom, was part of the small livingroom area that also was curtained off. The space wouldn't have even fit a single bed!!The kitchen was tiny and the appliances were very old. We left very disappointed. Pat said that we don't have to rush, but it still doesn't help me to find a place that will allow dogs and that isn't some crappy, tiny apartment. This is so frustrating!! AND then there is the job situation, there is nothing available in this city, or at least nothing that I've seen. I'm going to an information session on Wednesday, hopefully that will be some help, but the employment help at my school sucks. I went to the student employment office last year for some helpe looking for a job, thinking they might know something that I don't (being an empliyment office). The girl just brought up the government website that I had looked at for the past month. That was all the help she gave me!! Well...I'm going to go get dressed and work on an assignment....

O.k, I FINALLY found an apartment that would allow me to have Gizmo. I am, was, very excited. I emailed the guy asking him when he was going to come sign the sublet agreement. He wrote me back "sorry I got a job in Toronto, I won't be needing the apartment!" We are going to go see the apartment on Saturday anyway, cause it's right on Smythe, close to Priestman. It's in a basement apartment in a house and heat and lights are included. I told Pat and she said that she has a couple of people interested in the 1 bedroom, so she's going to help me in my search for a subletter, she said I couldn't pass up an apartment that would allow Gizmo. I've still got a month and alittle to find a subletter, so I think I'll be o.k. And I have Pat helping me now. I guessed the right password for my adsforum thing and so I posted the information and I emailed some people who are looking for a 1 bedroom. And really, I know from my own experience, 1 bedrooms are hard to come by in this city, so I think I'll be alright. Anyway I gotta get something to eat....

Wednesday, March 21, 2007

Turns out it's by an apartment basis and they don't allow dogs in the partcular apartment that is available. No apartments in this city allow dogs, no matter how little. I just keep hearing from landlords that it's really hard to find a place that will allow dogs, yeah I know!! I'm looking!! Stupid people, anyway I still have to search some more listings before class.....

Tuesday, March 20, 2007

The guy wrote me an email this morning and he and his girlfriend are going to take the apartment for May-August!! There are now 2 apartments down the street that are available, one specifically for May. Although I think I would prefer the one that is on the third floor. The guy, Tom is probably going to come over on Saturday or Sunday to sign the sublet and give me the money for the month of May. Then I'll call about the apartments down the street. Woohoo!! I've got to set up a time for the movers to come give me an estimate on how much it would be to move us. The guy said it was 85$ an hour and that included 2 movers and the truck, I don't think that is unreasonable. We'll just have to start packing. I'm so excited now. I'll be done school in less than 3 weeks and then I'll be graduating and done with school all together, which is very exciting. I skipped my Gerontology class this morning, it's snowing out alot and all we do in that class is copy notes for an hour and twenty minutes!! I'll just photocopy them from someone. Woohoo!!

Sunday, March 18, 2007

Woohoo, the guy actually called me 3:10pm and told me he was running late and would be here in about 20mins. He came, and saw the apartment, said it was definately one of the nicer ones he had seen and told me he would get back to me by Tuesday. He said he still had to talk it over with his girlfriend, but he liked the apartment. If he takes it I'd be able to call about the one down the street. He looked like a mature person, and asked if he would have to pay all 4 months up front! So I don't think I'll have anything to worry about. I told him that I had a couple other people coming to look at it on Tuesday, just to put alittle pressure on him to get back to me. I actually have no one coming, but he doesn't need to know that. hehe :)
I had a nice weekend. Gill and I finally got together Friday night and bought each other a couple of drinks for our belated Christmas present to each other. We went to Boston Pizza, the drinks were a really good size. Lots of places sell drinks and they end up being ridiculouslu small. This wasn't the case at BP, which was nice. Saturday I went to work. The day went by quickly. It was good. I then returned home and got some liquer ready and later on I took a cab to my friend Lisa's house. She had invited some people over, they were late, so we sat around drinking. When they did show up we all finished our drinks quickly and piled into someones car. We ended up going to Boom, it was packed. As was everywhere else, We didn't end up leaving Lisa's until 11:30pm or a little later, so bar options were limited. We all had a really good night though. Some of us left at about 2:30am and went to the Pita pit. I had only ever eatten there once before. They have some huge, awesome pita's, I got a philly steak one. We then headed back to Boom to pick up the others, some went with, I forget her name, but the one with the car, and some called taxi's. It was raining, so I decided to walk with Lisa back to her place (so that she wouldn't have to walk alone). We tried calling every cab in the phone book, repeatedly, but they were all busy. Finally, I seen a cab coming up her street and ran out and flagged him down. Thankfully he stopped and picked me up. I got home at about 3:30am. I hadn't brought my keys with me because Sam was staying in the apartment building and drinking with Luke, Tina, and Matt. Well I rang our bell and no one was home (except Gizmo, who was barking). So I was locked out!! It was to late to buzz any of the other apartments to get let it. Thankfully, some random guy came downstairs to go outside for a smoke and let me in. Woohoo! I came in and started getting ready and Sam came home shortly after. Turns out he had gone downtown as well, to the Tannery. He said that he had to wait a full hour for a cab. I was supposed to show the apartment to that guy today, he said he would call before he came at 3pm. Well it's 3:02pm and I still haven't heard from him. I don't think he's coming, which is disappointing, I can't post on the adsforum because I forgot my password and tried a bunch of different things that I use for passwords and I think it locked me out or something. I can't creat a new account with the same email address, so the adsforum is not an option for me. Well I'm gonna go work on some school junk, write later.....

Holy Cow!! I do not want to join the RCMP!! What a load of bullshit that would be. I went to the information session last night. The recruitment process is ridiculous!! You start by taking a test, o.k good enough, then you get a one on one interview maybe a month or so later after they reviewed your test. After that you have to take a polygraph test to really check your honesty on the test and during the interview. You might hear back later on. When you are accepted to go to "Depot" the RCMP training camp, you have to fly out to Regina, Saskatchewan. You have to stay there for 6 months of ridiculous mental and physical traing (6 months!). You get NO pay during the 6 month training and have to provide your own personal items (they said on average it costs $2000-$5000), thats shampoo, toothpaste, gym clothes, laundry soap, etc. AND after you've finished this 6 months of intense, unpaid training there is no guarantee that you will be accepted into the RCMP!! How fucking crazy is that?!! OH!! and you have to be able to move anywhere in the country at any time during your service, by on call all the time, and work shift work! One of the presenters had been with the RCMP for 15 years at right now, he was working 4 10hour night shifts, then 3 days off, 4 nights on, etc. What shitty hours!! There are some upcoming career fairs and other information sessions that I'm going to go to. Well gotta go make some lunch.

Wednesday, March 14, 2007

I got an email from a guy that he is really interested in subletting our apartment in May. He'll finish out our lease and then he can either stay or move out again. My username and password have been fucked up on the ads forum so I didn't know if I was going to be able to find someone to sublett. I went to the unb housing webpage and found a link to people that were looking for subletts and emailed a couple of people. He emailed me back pretty quick, so that's a good sign. There is an apartment down the street that allows cats for 20$ extra dollars a month, but I've been to one of the landlords apartment buidings and seen, with my own eyes, a little dog living there, so he must allow dogs to. They have been doing alot of renovations on the building too. I walk by it all the time on my way home from the bus stop after work. The best thing it that it is a month to month lease, no being trapped into living somewhere for a whole year. OH, mom told me to look into just getting a moveing company to come and move me, it would be cheaper to just hire someone to move us, than for Sams parents or my parents to drive all the way up to Freddy to move us. I emailed a company and they will do it for $85 an hour, and that includes two movers and the truck. I wouldn't think it would take much longer than that to move down the street, they even provide some packing materials if you need them. I had to go to this research and ideas fair today and go to 5 presentations and write a short paragraph about eahc one of them, I've been to about 2 1/2, well 3. So I have 2 more that I have to go to. Then it's home for lunch, write my religion essay, and I'm off to the information session for people interested in joining th RCMP. Well, I'm going to type up those 3 presentations that I've been to and do the other 2 later....:)

March Break is coming to an end, tonight is the last evening.....Then there is only 4 weeks of school left!!Woohoo!! I am so sick and tired of doing research all the time and writing papers, doing interviews, etc. I will be very happy to be done. Sam and I got up this morning and went to Mikes for breakfast. It was awesome. He got a breakfast pizza, hash browns and toast and I got has browns, two pieces of french toast, a piece of ham, ant we both had a couple coffees. It was only $15!! We are going to go there more often. I just got done printing my second interview. This one was 27 pages. I still have no idea how I did on the first one, because she didn't hand them back yet, which she was supposed to do a week before March break.Tomorrow we are doing a content analysis on some newspaper articles. I found them, I think, cause she never really told us what she wanted. Grr....stupid...dim...wittted...lazy...professor...grr.The second one she's not even going to mark, unless you don't do well on the first one and want her to, cause you think you might to better. She's going to take the best 1. Well I don't know if this one is any better because I did very similar questions. It would have been nice to see the first one and know where you could improve and then do the second one-which you could probably do better on. But we won't know until tomorrow, and by then we can't do anything to improve the interview, because it's already done!! hmph!! I'm going to a research fair on Wednesday, an assignment for my advanced reasearch class, whichc probably won't even get marked, cause she's so lazy. Then I'm going to the RCMP information session. I'm pretty excited about that. I think it would be really interesting to work for the RCMP, and the health benefits don't hurt either. I've got to go and ask my religion professor about what she is looking for in our research paper. Christian Right is very similar to Evangelical and Fundamentalist Christians, which makes it really confusing when a person (me) is trying to do research on them. Sam is going to cook tonight, or at least that's what he said, he went and took a nap and I'm having a hard time getting him up to cook. He bought some fresh fetticine noodles and fresh cilantro and some really nice sauces. I think we will rent some movies tonight. Well I gotta go.....write later....oh BTW...I noticed no comments, not one on my last post....I figured I would get a plethora of comments...it was kinda cute, my chocolate statements....I'm hurt!! :) so there better be some comments to make up for it on this one!! :0)

I came to Saint John on Saturday, Mom and Richard picked Gizmo and I up in Freddy at about 5pm. Mom and Sam talked about Warcraft for awhile and then we went to Chapters/Starbucks for a caramel macchiato. They are such great foamy drinks. We got home at about 6:45pm, dropped Richard and Gizmo off at the house and went to pick Susan up, mom had suggested that we go and see the Chip and Dales strippers at the 3 mile. We picked her up and got out there at about 7:30-45pm. We ordered and got our meal at about 8pm (when the show started), we ate quickly and headed over. It was a different group called the Canadian International Strippers. They came out and strutted their stuff and took off some clothes (not enough clothes, cause they were wearing layers and it took awhile to get down to their boxer briefs). They did some choreographed dances and then did some individual dances, but stayed clothed alittle more than I would have thought any stripper should stay clothed. The night was good and we got some cheap drinks. I asked the owner, Mark, if they were really from Montreal (like the chip and dales), he told me that he was originally from Ontario but lived in Montreal now...he never ended up telling me anything about the other guys, come to think of it. Hmm... Mom hadn't been feeling that great, we stayed for alittle bit, but then took a cab to Sue's and got Darren to drive mom and I home. Sunday, mom was feeling worse and didnt want to do anything, so we stayed here. I was SO bored. Richard's satelitte in the livingroom wasn't working, he was watching the one in the room, and mom was playing Warcraft, so I had absolutely nothing to do. They don't have any movies either, so I just sat here all day. Finally at about 6:30pm we decided to go get something to eat and mom and I picked up the movie the Covenant. Sam had already seen it, so I never get a chance to rent it. Mom and I watched it, but it wasn't anything like we had expected. The characters were never developed and the story itself wasn't explained enough. I didn't really like it. Sam came home early from work on Saturday because he wasn't feeling well, they sent him home on Sunday, he doesn't work Mondays and supervisor found someone to take his shift for Tuesday. He has whatever mom has, achy, feverish, sore throat, etc. March break is going by way to fast. I'm going home tomorrow, I have a whole wack of stuff that I have to research and do some work on projects. The end of the year is coming so fast. I was finally able to register for the RCMP information session on March 14th/07. I was having some trouble and the student employment office couldn't have been more useless. I wrote them and email telling them I was having trouble and the only help that they gave me was to open it in internet explorer. What else would I open it in?! Stupid freaking.....anyway I got to register, and the first one changed my year to 1st year when I changed it from unb to stu check box. I didn't realize that and just registered again to fix it. It still fucked up and said that I was in my 4th year, but I go to unb. I figure that each of them have pieces of correct information and I'll be alright. I wouldn't want to ask the student employment office how to unregister and start over, they would probably just ignore me (like they've been ignoring my second email). Today I went to the Giant Tiger and picked up some really cute shirts. What does it mean by junior? The junior clothes didn' t look that much smaller than the regular ladies clothes, one of my tops is a 'junior' top apparently. After my time at the Giant Tiger I went to Susan's house for dinner. I brought a strawberry rhubarb pie, it was very nice to be invited to dinner. Sue gave me a pair of really nice brown dress pants. I have been searching for a pair for the last couple of months, but have been unable to find a suitable pair. My pant quest has now come to an end, thankfully! I also picked up some more chocolate bars while at the Giant Tiger, I'm such a sucker for a sale, but really, a .44cent chocolate bar (reeses and oh henry) can you pass it up?? NO!! you can't pass a deal like that up!! Or at least I can't and I am very happy believing that everyone else can't ( I want no comments telling me any different!!)-We are ALL suckers for cheap chocolate!! All of us!! :) Richard came and picked me up at about 7-7:30pm. Well I'm gonna go check out my new facebook page, see what's changed.

Friday, March 02, 2007

I just signed up for the facebook thing. I'm not to sure how it works, but I apparently invited a wack of people to add to my friends list or whatever. My advanced research methods class is cancelled for tomorrow, and I'm thinking that I probably won't be going to my sociology of religion class. Anyway if the snow ever starts, it hasn't yet, classes might be cancelled. So I might not have to worry about it. Jackie and I hung out tonight, we went to the Giant Tiger in Oromocto. We both ended up getting groceries. I bought a wack of reeses pieces butter cups, they were only .44cents!! I couldn't pass that up. I also picked Sam up some espresso dark chocolate bars. I never told him about the reeses. I'm just going to keep those my own little secret. He'll never even notice, he's so obsessed with his warcraft game! He doesn't even eat anymore, unless I cook for us. I came home from the Giant Tiger and he hadn't even cooked himself anything. I made some brocolli and cheese stuff chicken breasts and we slit a package of scalloped potatoes. It was quick and easy, especially since we have a new microwave. With this facebook thing, can anyone add you and see your information? hmmm.........well I'm going to go to bed, write later....

Wednesday, February 28, 2007

It is so frustrating trying to do research on religion!! I told my professor today that I was going to do my final research paper on Evangelical Christians. Well to my surprise, where I know very little about religion, the word Christian means everthing pretty well, roman catholic, right wing christians, protestant, salvation army, and many more that I stopped reading after awhile. I just wanted a simple religion to research, one that would have information that said "this religion believes this." That's it, but the religion is slightly different for each kind I guess, and Christian I might just leave alone and try something else. any suggestions? I also have a wack of other stuff to do over the March break...grr....stupid professors. I'm not doing anything else tonight though. My advanced research methods class is cancelled on Friday, but I still have that religion class. I was thinking of not going, but I think I need to ask her what she wants and how she wants us to do the research paper. It's supposed to snow alittle on Friday, so Mom might wait until Saturday to come get us (Gizmo and I). I am so thankful to be graduating soon. I'm sick and tired of writing research papers and doing presentations and going to class and taking notes....It'll be nice when it's all done. I'm really tired lately too, I don't know why, I go to bed at a decent hour (well by 1am usually), and I roll over and still hit my snooze button. Hmph!! OH!!! Hey Sue, did you want to go out with Mom and I Saturday to a movie? It would be great to see you while I'm in Saint John. Anyway I'm going to make a cup of tea and snuggle on the couch with Gizmo! Write later...

Friday, February 23, 2007

I went into work last night and I was put on 5 different campaigns by the end of the night, two of them I had no training in (well unless you count the 5mins last night). I was on LEC, NLQCB, and VOL!! I always sell LEC, NLQCB is similar, but alittle bit different script, VOL is verizon online and I had never sold it before. I was talking to Jamie and Greg and they were talking about renting a car and going home for March Break. I decided that it sounded good and booked some time off to come to Saint John. This way I get 2 Saturday's in a row off, this one and next! Sorry about the uninteresting content of my posts Sue. :) School is going well, it's alot of information though. OH!! Have you ever heard of "Tearoom" activity?? No?? Neither had I, well tearoom activity is men going to public restrooms (usually in public parks, off highways, etc) and getting blow jobs and sexual favours from other men. There are 4 kinds of men that do this. Trade-who are usually married, middle class men, some with kids, ambisexuals-higher paid men, some married, pay off police, gay-openly homosexual and don't care about being caught and the closet queens-fear stigma and are not very social. I have an online test Monday, which is not good for me. Even though we don't have to go to class (12:30-1:20), I have class from 1:30-2:20, a little break, another class from 3:30-4:50pm and one more from 7-9:50pm. This test will take approximately 2 hours to complete. We have from 12:30pm Monday until 12:30pm Tuesday. Tuesday I have class from 10-11:20am. I am going to be so busy I will hardly have time to write this test!!! AND then I have to study for my crim theory midterm (wednesday)!! I have no idea when I'm going to have time, I work Tuesday ....hphm!! But then I'll get a break, during which I have to research a religion for my soc of religion class. Jackie called me this afternoon and she invited me to accompany her to Waltmart. We hadn't seen each other in awhile, it was nice to hang out. :) There was a demonstration at Walmart of the Sharpest Knife ever. Jackie and I watched the demonstration. the woman cut through a tomato, bread, the stell head of a hammer, wood, and then sliced a tomato again to show that the hammer steel hadn't dulled the blade. If you bought one from her tonight you got two knives, a paring knife, scissors, two juicer things, and another knife for $28.95, Jackie and I went halfers and each got a couple things for $15. WellI'm going to go make something to eat....write later...:)

Friday, February 16, 2007

Hello All! I worked last night, and it turned out that there is no script at all for the new MTS campaign. AND my supervisor put me in the bundke campaign to sell tv and internet bundles together, my first night!! When I was trained a week before (briefly) they told me I would be selling TV services. Which is alot easier, because the people generally already have phone and internet services and can get a discount. A nice selling perk. With the bundle plan there are no perks. Luckily I sat down next to a woman about my age, and she seen had been selling MTS for a couple of months. She seen that I was ridiculously confused and asked her supervisor (Chris-met him during my training-he was nice) if I could buddy jack with her. So, I got to actually listen to her make calls for an hour. I also asked him if I could sell LEC for awhile, and he let me, so I got a break from MTS. I went back into it for the last half an hour, which wasn't bad. I'm not looking forward to work on Saturday, except we'll get $15 for showing up, which will be nice. Tonight I'm going to finish my CRIM theory II assignment. It shouldn't take long I already worked on it awhile. I'm gonna go make something to eat...:)

Thursday, February 15, 2007

Tuesday, February 13th, was Sam and mine 6th anniversary. Holy cow, 6 years together!! It was great!! I had class in the morning, it was a review for our midterm today (which got postponed until Tuesday b/c the university is closed until 12pm b/c of the snow). I came home and got Sam out of bed. He took a shower and got dressed and I offered to treat us to a late breakfast. We went to Mikes, but they had finished serving breakfast by the time we had arrived, so we finished our coffee (which Sams boss gave us free for our anniversary) and went over to the Hilltop (they serve breakfast until 4pm). We came home and had some coffees and Kamora and just hung out for awhile, which was nice, cause we hardly ever just hang out anymore. Later on we took a cab to Swiss Chalet and Sam treated us to dinner. From there we went to the regent mall, we had won something from the red cross lottery (we bought tickets a long time ago). Turned out we had won a nice pair of binoculars. We were going to see a movie, but the line was really long when we got there, so we decided to go over to Chapters and look at the books and stop at Star Bucks. We both got caramel macchiatto's. I love those things. Then we went down to Walmart, so I could pick the dog up some food. We got home alittle after 8pm and decided to get a movie at Blockbuster. We got the movie "Man about Town", it was a comedy with Ben Affleck. We enjoyed that. Wednesday he had to work all day, but that's o.k cause we had already celebrated. He came home and surprised me with a funny card and a long stem red rose!! I hadn't expected anything, cause Valentines day isn't as important as the day before. I work tonight, but I'm on a brand new campaign. They switched me on last Thursday. I will now be selling cable, and internet to people in Canada. For the company MTS. My supervisor said she wanted to give me a shot at this campaign, b/c there are tons of incentives. On Saturday, if I go in and work my whole shift, I'll get an extra $15! For every sale that you make in the campaign, you make $5-$10. Then there are money prizes for top sales in the cable, internet, and combo divisions. I'll still call on LEC until 6pm. I buddy jacked with someone on Thursday. Canadians are alot more polite than people from the States. Although the guy said it was frustrating some times. In the states they just hang up on you, but in Canada they listen to your whole script, tell you they are not interested and hang up. I think I'll take the puppy out for a walk, it's not snowing or raining right now and the temperature is pretty good. Gotta go....write later....:)

Thursday, February 08, 2007

I've been feeling a little bit better recently, yesterday and today. I'm still stuffed up alittle, but not half as bad as I was last week. I've been taking some flu medicine and it seems to be helping out alot. I have class later on this morning. It's a gerontology class, so we had an assignment to write about a day in our life at the age of 70 and all the things that would have contributed to that day. It was a difficult thing to do. I don't even know what I'm going to be doing next year, let alone when I'm 70!! It's done and I think I did what she wanted. I had something due yesterday on my religion class, and I have my interview due tomorrow. I work tonight, but I don't have to work this Saturday, so I have all weekend to work on stuff. I hope Sam works a long shift on Saturday so that I can actually use the computer. Although he is pretty good about letting me have it when it's for school. He gets up early in the morning to play it too. He stays up and plays it right until 1am and then is out here first thing in the morning!!Gizmo and teh bunny are getting along well enough. Gizmo is alittle jealous when I go over and pat the bunny, she whines and snorks!! She's such a funny little dog. Well I'm going to go get ready for class....:)

Friday, February 02, 2007

I wen to work yesterday and was feeling like crap, but I can't afford to take two shifts off, and I had planned to go in today to make up my hours for Tuesday's shift. For my advanced research methods class, we have to conduct an interview AND record it, so that we can transcribe the thing Verbatim. So I conducted my interview on Tuesday since that thing was cancelled. I got half way throught the transcription process on yesterday before work. This afternoon I sat down to finish it and for whatever ridiculous reason the thing had no volume and I couldn' hear anything. The tape was playing, but something happened to the volume. So I went and tried to record something new, on a new tape, and it would no longer record, I changed the batteries twice, and then I cried. I was so upset. I was half way done, only need the stupid recorder for one more interview, and then it's useless to me. I called Jackie to see if she had a little tape recorder that I could borrow, just to finish my transcription. She didn't, but offeredto walk to Walmart with me to see if we could get a new one for a decent price. We went over and the cheapest one was $40! It works awesome and the sound is great, but I'll never use it again after this second interview. What a huge waste of cash, although I might just return the thing after I'm done my second interview, Walmart will take anything back, I've got the receipt. I got done and my interview is 21 pages. I'm do stuffed up and congested. I also have to write two more papers tomorrow and Sunday, oh...no wait....more than that cause I've got stuff to do for my developmental issues class. I'm going to go make myself a cup of neo citron and snuggle with the puppy..Write later
P.S: are you doing anything exciting for your birthday mom? :)

Hello all!! So...I registered myself for an information session that the Public Service Commission was having at STU on Tuesday. I got up, went to my class in the morning, came home showered and fixed my hair and makeup and put on the new suit that I bought. I was very excited to find out about some of the possible job opportunities for upcoming graduates. I even took a cab over so that my hair wouldn't get wrecked. I got there early, so I went and double checked what room it was supposed to be in online. At 3:45pm I showed up and there was a sign, and the sign said that, due to illness the info session had been cancelled!! They didn't post it online, which would've helped me, cause I checked it a wack of times throughout the day. I was so pissed off!! Maybe I would like to work for the public service, they can be irresponsible and cancel things on a whim!! But I guess I won't know now!! grr.....stupid public service representative! And by the time I got out of there and got home, I had already missed my bus to work, and had called them and told them I couldn't come in, but would make my hours up on Friday. I figured going to this info thing would be well worth having to work Friday. I have a wack of stuff that I've gotta do too. We used to be able to read at work in between calls, but they cracked down on that and now we're not allowed. We don't have classes on Friday, because the university likes to make up holidays, Chancellors day. Yesterday I conducted an interview and I've gotta transcribe that on Friday before I work. Sam and I went out to lunch yesterday and bought a new microwave. It's a little smaller than our last one, but it has all the same buttons that we like (popcorn, baked potatoe, auto defrost, etc). It's gotten really cold in Fredericton the last week or two. I've been bundling up like crazy. I've been wearing long johns, a pair of thick cotton pants and then my regular jeans or pants. I went to class today and my professor asked how many of us had read an article that she had told us to, not many people raised their hand, when she asked how many hadn't about 3/4 of the class raised their hand. She punished us by making us write a 6 page essay about it for Monday. So I'm in the middle of that now, but wanted to take a break, so I thought I'd post. I got Sue's belated birthday card today! I was very excited to see that it had arrived, she told me awhile ago that she had bought one, didn't have my address, forgot to mail it, etc. So I got it today and she bought me a belated birthday card since she had forgotten for so many days. She had attached $20!! Thanks Sue!! That is totally gonna be my coffee money for this week. Well I better get back to my crim thing...... :(

Hello All!! I have been so unbelievably lazy this weekend (well, in reference to school work). Yesterday I cleaned like crazy and the apartment is looking nice again. I actually did get alittle bit of school work done (about 10 mins ago). I wrote my research guide for my interview. My advanced research methods class, is just a repeat of last term, except this time we are going to do 2 interviews. Half of the class took the first part of research methods with another proff and learned fuck all, so the people who had Professor Clarke last term (I did) just get a refresher in stuff we've already learned. This term we 're just reading a different book. Last term it was "dealing crack", which has a pretty seelf-explanatory title, and this term the book is called "tearoom trade". I haven't read it yet, but I'm pretty sure it's about homosexual acts in public settings. She has us read the most bizarre books. Oh well the dealing crack book was really interesting, maybe this one will be too. Sam gets off at 3pm, I'm gonna meet him, and we're going to go buy a new microwave. I was using the microwave the other day and it shot a bolt of electricity from one side to the other. I didn't know what was going on, so I unplugged it and put it in the garbage. I wasn't messing around with that, it sounded and looked like it was going to blow up. Gotta go make some lunch, write later :)

I had a Birthday Weekend!! Sam did stuff for me the whole weekend long!! On friday I was watching Oprah and she was interviewing the little actress from the movie Akeelah and the Bee. She was impressed with the movie and said that it was a movie everyone should watch. So, I mentioned to Sam that it sounded like a good movie. He rented it for me and we snuggled on the couch and watched it together. It was a nice movie. We were all out of milk and the stores were closed, but I mentioned that I had a really bad craving for a big glass of milk. I intended to buy some milk on Saturday when I went to work, but forgot all about it. He got off work early and came home with a long stem rose for me and a one litre of chocolate milk, just for me!! He's so freaking thoughtful!! Saturday he also brought home 3 six packs of blueberry ale. One for me, one for him, and one for us to share. There are still over 2 six packs left. Sunday he took me out to Smitty's for dinner, we both had steak and bacon wrapped scallops. I also had a coffee and Baileys with whipped cream and a cherry. Then we went to the movie "Freedom writers" with Hilary Swank. We both really enjoyed the movie. It was performed well and had a good story (based on a true story). Then on Monday, my actual birthday. I have classes all day. So I came home at 5pm and he had supper ready for me. We had picked a some stuff up at M&M meats. We had cannelloni and stuffed chicken breasts. It was very good. I got an email from Gill wishing me a happy b-day, a Post from Lisa wishing me a good birthday, Susan called me yesterday, but it was to late to call her back when I got home (10pm), mom wished me well, and Pat even got me a nice card and a little jewellery box from the clair de lune place. This has been one of the best birhtdays yet!! :) With all that happening all weekend, I've been pretty slack about doing my crim theory assignment (due Wednesday). I better go do that now, cause I also work tonight. Have a great day!! :)

I woke up to alot of snow this morning! I checked the cancellations and it turns out that my advanced research methods class was cancelled, my other one (sociology of religion) hasn't been cancelled yet (its from 1:30-2:20pm), but I'm not going even if it isn't cancelled, no one will be there anyway. I am so happy that I don't have to work on Friday's any more, it is really nice. I work tomorrow, but it's a day shift and I'm done by 6pm so I don't mind. I finished my research question last night and I only have to write a short essay thing for my Crim theory class this weekend. I looked on the message board the other day to see when that RCMP thing is ( I think it's in March), but someone took it down. So, I asked the help desk, and the girl gave me a snotty look and told me she didn't know. She was in my adult courts class last year and she always acted really bitchy to me. I don't know why I don't even know her and she doesn't know me, but she had an attitude ever since I met her. Oh well, I don't want to associate with snobby people like her anyway!!:) I'm just gonna relax today and do nothing!! It'll be great. Gizmo and I will cuddle on the couch and watch T.V, that's it...and maybe I'll play some games on the computer while Sam is at work and not glued to it. Oh...I almost forgot. He came home yesterday and asked me if I needed the computer next Saturday, I said 'well, probably some time during the day, why? He then goes on to tell me that he has been invited to a "lamb" party. Get this, a bunch of Warcraft players all bring their computers to someones house, sit around playing, but not really talking to one another. Just in the same room!! He wanted to lug my desk top computer over to someones house, just to play his game!! How freaking stupid of an idea is that? I mean really...the things people come up with these days! His friend has an extra computer he can use I guess, so I'll get the computer for the whole day. Which will be quite the switch. I'm gonna go play a game....write later :)

This week started out well enough. It snowed Sunday evening, so there was about a foot of snow when I woke up on Monday morning. I got up, went to two classes, had my break, went to my third one and came home fro dinner. Luckily Sam had dinner ready for me as soon as I got home (shortly after fivepm). It was snowing out quite a bit and I was not looking forward to walking to school for my night class (7pm-10pm), so I kept checking to see if she had cancelled it. She hadn't and I trudged through the snow to get there. Falling twice, I caught myself with my hand the second time, but it still wasn't pleasant. My school has a thing called "safe wheels" for students who have evening classes. It runs from 9:30pm-11pm. It is always late and you end up waiting for it if your class ends any time around 9pm. I was going to take it home, b/c my class didn't end until 10pm. BUT, my proff decided to have a 2 hour class instead of a 3 hour one, and we were done by 9pm. So, I ended up trudging home as well, although I didn't fall this time. :) Sam's expansion pack for the world of warcraft game came out last night at 12am, so he went to go get one (he had his reserved). He didn't get home until after 2am, he said there was a huge line up. I fell asleep shortly after I heard him come in, but he has a cold and is really congested. So, when he did come to bed he kept waking me up with his ridiculously loud snoring. So, I have one class today, rolled out of bed, seen that she hadn't cancelled it, but I still went back to bed. I have read the chapter and she makes her overhead notes directly from the text. I don't think I'll miss much. I have a friend in the class, who I'm sure she will let me get the notes from her anyway. I work tonight, but I'm not dreading it like I usually do. I always dread going to work, get there and don't mind it to much, and leave feeling fine. I don't know why I always think "oh....I have to work today...ugh..." cause it is never as bad as I anticipate it will be. My supervisors are all really nice, and we just got new leads.I have a a reasearch question due on Friday that I still have four articles to read for. I'll have to finish that on Wednesday, cause I work on Thurday evening. I also have an assignment due next Wednesday for my crim theory class, but it's not to long. This semester doesn't seem to be to bad (so far). I'm going to print those articles off and read them......write later

Thursday, January 11, 2007

I have not been feeling very good for the past week. Well....actually I didn't feel good last Thursday, felt worse on Friday, a little better on Saturday and almost better by Sunday. Sam on the other hand started feeling sick on Saturday, worse by Sunday....and by Monday we both didn't feel very good. Tuesday I really didn't feel well and Sam had kept me up all night snoring, so I was very tired. Yesterday we both felt alittle better, and today we feel alittle better than yesterday, but still not 100%. What a week!! I went and photocopied my gender studies book yesterday after supper and got it bound and everything for 16$. To buy it at the bookstore I would have to pay $100 plus tax. I photocopied the 6th edition, and she wanted us to buy the 7th, but the chapters are all titled the same and it's written and published by the same authors and company, so I don't think it'll be a problem. I work tonight, but it's going to be relatively new leads. So, we will be calling people for the first time. It makes it alot easier to sell to people whom the company hasn't bugged the fu*k out of. I don't have to work tomorrow or this weekend, so I'll be able to do all of the assignments that are due next week. I think I have 2 or 3 things due next week.Gizmo and Snowball are doing great!! Snowball isn't scared of Gizmo at all. If Gizmo is sniffing and/or licking her to much she'll pounce at her and scare Gizmo alittle. It's kinda funny. I am so cold. I've got my long johns on, my jeans, two pairs of socks, a t shirt and my big fuzzy white sweater, but I am just freezing. It's really cold in Fredericton today. I turned up the heat, but I think it's partly because I'm not feeling well. I wasn't feeling good on Tuesday, and Sam brought me home some soup and a half a mini pizza. I think I'll go make a cup of tea.....

Monday, January 08, 2007

Well school doesn't seem like it will be to bad this semester. My classes seem to be fairly interesting. My advanced research methods will be alot more work than last semester though. I have 4 classes on Mondays. I have one from 12:30-1:20pm, another from 1:30-2:20pm, a break, another from 3:30-4:50pm and one from 7-10pm. It is my busiest day. My text books shouldn't be to expensive this semester either. I'm going to buy one for 10$ today. My sociology of religion proff ordered the wrong text and now we have to wait for it to come in, if it takes to long she'll just photocopy it for us. I hope it takes to long. I still have yet to find out what the texts are for my two evening classes, but I'm hoping they won't be to much. I've gotta find out how to change my password for the ads forum, I don't remember what it is, so I can't even post to sell my old texts. Anyway gotta run, write later :)

Thursday, January 04, 2007

We had a very nice New Years, we went over to Luke and Tina's apartment for awhile and drank. They had invited some other people over as well and it was nice. They don't have cable, so Sam ans I came over to our apartment and watched the last three minutes of 2006 count down. We kissed and toasted some white wine at the stroke of midnight, it was awesome! I had my first class of second semester today. It was an intro to gerontology class. It doesn't sound to difficult. We have to do an interview for this class as well, which is good, now that I own a recorder. Tomorrow I have advanced qualitative research methods and a sociology of religion class. Sam and I went to see the pursuit of happyness on Tuesday. It was great. Will Smith and his son did a phenomenal job. Sam and I also bought some new Valences for the livingroom. We took down the beige curtains that we had up there and the blinds. It looks much nicer. Now we just have to buy a new table cloth for the little table (the current one is light pink and no longer goes with the livingroom). Jackie and I also went to the Giant Tiger in Oromoncto yesterday. I got a snazzy looking brown blazer for 15$. I wore it today in fact. I've been talking to Pat about moving. Apparently our lease "rolls over" every year, whether we actually sign a new one or not. So ours is from September to September. If we want to move in May we need to give our notice at the beginning of February and find a subletter for May-August (we would still be responsible for the rent if they didn't pay or whatever), or get someone who will take over a full year lease from May-May. This might be more trouble than it's worth. There are a bunch of apartments down the street that are month to month leases, so I don't think it would be to hard to get one for September. Well...I'm gonna go make a coffee....write later...:0)

Hello All!! I had a very merry christmas this year. It was really nice to go to SJ and see the family. I received alot of really nice gifts this year, thanks alot! :) Gizmo is in Freddy with me right now. She was itching alot so mom and I took her to the vet yesterday. Turns out we were bathing her to much. The baths stripped her skin of all the protective oils that a dog needs. We got her some pills and new shampoo. Luckily, we had a free visit, so we didn't have to pay to see the vet. I bought some new belts today when I went to Zellers. The one I bought at the leather shop in the Fredericton mall busted up, then the owner gave me a new (better) one to replace it. That one tore in half while I was home! So I went and looked at Zellers and found a black and brown one that fit nicely and will probably last longer. I used a gift certificate that Sam had given me for Suzy Sheir and bought a black suit on Boxing day. Gizmo and Snowball are getting along nicely. Gizmo seems to be tired or something, maybe it's from the meds she is taking. She would hardly walk over to Zellers with me. She has been snoozing all afternoon and evening too. Hmm.... We arrived in SJ on Friday and went to our parents homes. Mom and Richard got some lobster on Saturday, mmm....lobster....it was awesome! Sam and I went over to his parents house for Christmas eve. They had a big family get together. Barb had made a whole wack of trays of food and sweets. She gave Sam and I a whole tray of sweets to bring to my parents house with us, we ate the whole thing that night! We were at my parents house for Christmas day. We opened our presents when we got up and Sue, Darren and Cole came over alittle later to open their gifts. Cole just ripped through his! Mom made an awesome Turkey dinner on Christmas day. It was really nice, the whole family was there. Boxing day, mom, Sue, Cole and I went over to Nanny Lawrences house in the afternoon to see her and grampy and to drop off presents. Nanny bought Sam and I some nice things. She gave us some storage containers, a silver clock, and some cute tea pot shaped ornaments. Anyway I gotta do some dishes up...write later...:)

Thursday, December 21, 2006

I found out what was going onwithn Snowball. She's not sick. She was under the end table necause I had used her bamboo basket to block off th4e area behind the dryer where she likes to jump. She likes eating the bamboo basket. She's been back there picking at the basket all along!! Silly rabbit!! I have to get some stuff ready for when she comes to SJ with us for Christmas. I think I'll go and get her some treats for Christmas and just cause she is a nice bunny. I'm very excited about Christmas this year, I got everyone something that they either needed or wanted and told me. I also got some awesome deals on some of the items, because parts of the Fredericton mall closed down and had lots of closing out sales. Sam has got to go over to the pet store and get some feeding tabs for his fish tanks. He works 7:20am-7:30pm on Thursdays. I hated working 12 hour shifts when I did it at the Hilltop, but he doesn't mind, he gets a couple of them every week. I left work early last night. I told my supervisor I wasn't feeling well, but that was only a little part of it. We were calling in texas and they are 4 hours before us, so even though we were calling at 8pm, it was only 4pm there and no one was home. So, we were just getting alot of answering machines, which was really boring. The people in Texas are very nice though when you do get to talk to them. They all thanked me for calling, saying that they appreciated my call but weren't interested in the phone package, and to have a merry Christmas. I made 2 sales anyway. The first one I made on my 5th call of the night. I had worked an extra 45mins that day and 49 mins the day before, so leaving early still didn't hurt my overall hours. Today I'm just sitting back and relaxing, I think Jackie has today off as well, so I'm going to give her a call and we'll hang out for awhile. Anyway gotta go shower, write later.....:)

Wednesday, December 20, 2006

I went to work on Monday and won 15$ when my supervisor drew my work number, and won 15$ yesterday for having top sales on my team for the night. I work tonight and then I'm off until January 3 or 4th. I checked my greades online today and I did great this semester. I got the highest GPA I've ever gotten!! Last year I ended the year with a 3.14 gpa, this semester I got a 3.48!! Woohoo!! I am so excited. Sam was at work and so was mom, so I ran over and told Pat, she gave me a big hug and congratulated me. I'm just sitting here, in my own happy bubble, it's great! I gotta go make something to eat for work, write later! :)

Monday, December 18, 2006

Jingle Bells, Jingle Bells, Jingle all the way!!.....One week until Christmas! I am so excited. I work today, tomorrow and Wednesday, I'm taking Thursday off and we are going to SJ Friday. I have to call mom and check to see what time she is coming to get us. Snowball has been acting kinda weird. When I let her out of her cage for a hop she just goes under the end table and hides in the corner by the couch. She usually races around the livingroom like a nut, but the last two days....hmm.....I hope she's not sick. She's still eating her food and stuff so I don't know what's going on with her. I wonder when the marks have to be in? I keep checking, but so far nothing. Which is rather diappointing, I figured they would be in by now.Sam got to sleep in today, since he didn't have to work until 11am, so he stayed up until 4am this morning playing his game!! I went to bed at 1am like usual. I'm feeling well rested and alot better. I still have a cough and stuffy nose, but no headache anymore. Anyway I'll write later,.....:)

Saturday, December 16, 2006

I felt alot better on Friday, so I went into work. I did well enough, got 4 sales. They sent everyone home early at about 10:20pm. I start early and then leave early for the bus, so I didn't loose any time anyway. They have been sending us home early alot lately. Last Friday I only worked 4 hours before they told us we could leave. I just don't feel like going in today, it's the day shifts Saturday to work, but I was going to go in to make up some of the hours I missed in November, except I don't feel like it now and I'm the only one who seems to care about making up hours. They have gotten kinda weird about working hours. One day supervisor told me I couldn't start early (like I do every day), so I had to run all the way to the bottom floor to ask Kevin, he said I could, so then I had to go back up to the third floor and tell the supervisor it was o.k. Charlene, my supervisor, told me if I ever have any trouble working different shifts, just say that she told me I could, that would get me further than anything else. I don't mind working there, it's really easy, and alot of the time I talk to nice enough people. Yesterday I called a guy and sold him a phone package, he told me he was blind and all about his brother helping him out. He was very nice. I'm going to work on Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday, Charlene said they were going to send people home early on Thursday, so I don't think I'll bother going in. The centre is closed from December 23-January 2nd. So I don't have to start work as soon as I get back to Fredericton, that'll be nice. I'm all done all of my Christmas shopping, woohoo! I am really excited about this Christmas. I think it will be very enjoyable. Snowball is doing great!! I think she will enjoy going to SJ with me as well. Her and Gizmo get along nicely. Anyway I'm going to go get another coffee and give Jackie a call......:)

Wednesday, December 13, 2006

I am SO sick! It hurts to breath, move, cough, and especially to talk. I'm not going into work today. I wouldn't make any sales anyway, cause when I do talk I sound like some sort of raspy monster, then I would loose my voice and be sent home anyway, so why bother? I went and bought some Buckleys cough and cold stuff, but it doesn't seem to be having as good of an effect on my sickness as the other pills I was taking, so I think I'll switch back and buy some more. It's to bad that I got sick, cause it would be nice to go into work and make up the hours I need and money of course. Hopefully I'll be feeling better by tomorrow. We put up our Christmas tree last night, and by 'we' I mean I did, Sam really wasn't in the Christmas mood, but I was, so he helped a little. It's just a little tree, so it didn't take very long. (unlike the gynormous trees that Lisa and Anthony get, how long doe sit take you to decorate?).Anyway I'm gonna go take a shower, put some clean P.J's on and go to bed. Write later :(

Anne and I went and got our grad pictures taken this morning. They turned out nice. I'm growing my hair out and I just had it trimmed by Sue not that long ago, so I just straightened it out and put some clips in, I thought it looked nice. Anne said that she was glad that I wore my hair down and it looked good. It was a really good price for the pictures. To get them done by "Harper" studios at school it's 40$ just to sit in front of the guy. Anne and I got the same package and we could pick how many wallets, 5 x 7's, 4x 6's, etc that we wanted. We got 3 poses and 7 sheets of prints to make into what ever combination we wanted, and it was only $34!! For one of Anne's poses we just did a wacky one with the two of us together. We are going to go pick them up tomorrow probably, if not, then maybe after Christmas when both of our schedules are less hectic. I made sure that I got one 5x7 in black and white for mom (well the black and white looked funny, but it's like an antique kinda look, I think it will still be alright). I'm almost done my Christmas shopping, hard to believe it's less than two weeks away. Gill and I decided to not exchange presents this year, cause neither of us needed anything, instead we are going to get together after Christmas, buy each other one of the ridiculously large drinks at Mikes to start and just have a good drinking night, which will result (hopefully) in us both getting ridiculously drunk!:) Gill recently quit work at the CIBC, she wasn't going to get any break for Christmas, and it really is the only time she gets to see them, so she quit. She said she was getting sick of the hours (nights) she was working and had saved up enough money to get by for awhile. So....I'm sitting here...not doing a heck of alot, I have a cold and my throat is really sore...so I'm debating on whether to go into work tonight or not (I usually work Wed and Fri, but I need to make up hours so I've been going in on my days off). I really should decide soon, I don't know if I need to call and tell them I won't be in (cause it is my day off??hmm...). I'm very excited for this Christmas, I don't know why, but I am. We should put up our Christmas tree today while I'm home and Sam is off today!!!! That is exactly what we'll do!! :) dashing through the snow...ba..da..bup..bup...bup.. bah..!! I'm gonna go get him right now!! Happy holidays everyone!! :)

Sunday, December 10, 2006

Sorry about being a slack updater. I've been working lots to make up for the hours I missed in November. Friday and Saturday were good days at work. Saturday I won a chocolate bar and some mini kisses for making sales. Sam and I rented the movie "superman" Friday night and went and had subs at subway (which made no sense at all cause we had just bought groceries and sandwich stuff). It was a good movie, lots of action and neat stunts. Today Gill and I got together and just ended up hanging out here and talking for a couple of hours. We've decided to buy each other one of the ridiculously large drinks at Mikes after Christmas as a belated Christmas gift. BTW what is your blog thing that you write on Gill? Do I need to sign up and become a member to view your posts? For future reference to any of my blog viewers, my number is (506) 454-5431. I wrote to one of my professors about handing in an assignment a couple of hours late. It's due at 9am on Tuesday, but Anne and I are going to go get our grad pictures done that day and I asked if it was o.k to drop it off when I was done with the pictures, she wrote me back and said it was fine to do that. Anne has an exam that day, so we're just going to share a cab down and back, but go to the school for her exam and for me to hand in the assignment, so it works out really well. I'm goin got finish writing the assignment tomorrow. I kinda have one part of it done already, it's for a woman and law class, and I already wrote a paper on Divorce law for a gender studies class, so I'm gonna tweek that and use it. :) The other question we can do is on sexual assault laws, and it just so happens that I have done some work on sexual assault for other classes and for this one as well. See....in second year, when I decided to do a minor in crim, I would always do any assignments on sexual assault (its always offered as a choice)...so that when we were assigned things...I already had research and essays written about the topic. Later, when I decided I would do a major in crim, this continued to help me. For example...in my crime and the media class that I took this summer, guess what topic I did for my major assignment? Sexual assault, I made an entire webpage in one day! Sam and I went over to Boston Pizza for supper tonight. I had told him I would treat him to supper on Monday as a belated Birthday gift. We went today instead. The food was pretty good, but I think we both enjoy eating at Smitty's better though. Well I'm going to go let the bunny out for a hop (thanks for agreeing with me on the Snowballs greatness Sue!!) Write later...:)

Thursday, December 07, 2006

I had my qualitative research methods exam today. I figured the final exam would be ridiculously difficult because my professor (Dawne Clarke) said that the midterm was to easy and that she would have to make the final harder. It was no harder!! I'm glad I read the "Dealing Crack" book yesterday, cause 60% of the exam was on that. Yes the book is called dealing crack. Crack is a ridiculously addictive drug, thankfully it didn't last long, wasn't to popular after people seen the effects it had on a person. I only have one more thing due, on the 12th of December, then I'm done!! Woohoo!! The thing that is due, isn't going to be that hard to write anyway. I'm going to go out with Jackie this evening before I meet Sam to get groceries, we are all out of almost everything, we both have been so busy though, we just didn't have time to go get anything. We went to Sams staff party on Monday. It was really nice. It was at the Elks club. The owner had booked a DJ and ordered six or seven different kinds of pizza (he owns a pizza delight, KFC, and some other restaurants other than Mikes), we got drink tickets to. Sam decided to work on Monday, so he got 2 extra drink tickets too. They had an auction type thing with monopoly money. We bid and got a certificate for a pizza and garlic cheese fingers, 3 movie rentals at jumbo video, a 40$ gift certificate for Marks work warehouse, and two quarter chicken dinners at Swiss Chalet! Not bad for monopoly money! Actually, Sam went to Marks work warehouse yesterday and got himself a new pair of jeans and bought me a pair of awesome slippers!(I always steal his, cause they are big and floppy and have a nice bottom) My new slippers are better than his slippers!! :) We seen Jackie's boyfriend Mike there as well, he bid on stuff too, hmm....I wonder what he got? Sam got a cell phone for his birthday when he went home to see his mom on her birthday. He doesn't need one, he's here or at work...but he wants to pay for it so.....can't tell him any different...;) Snowball is doing great being a bunny, she is very friendly...if I sit on the floor (to block her from going under the end table) she comes over and sniffs me, and hops onto my lap, same thing when I sit on the couch. Tomorrow is Sam's 27th birthday! I work Friday and then he works on Saturday and Sunday, but I'm going to take him out to dinner on Monday. Oh I didn't write about this, but I was talking to Gill over a week ago (on msn) and we made plans to have a "Gill & Krista" day this Sunday. It will be nice to see her, I hardly ever do now that she is done school and lives down the hill. I was thinking about it, and she is the friend that I have known the longest out of all my friends. (13 1/2 years!). That's crazy. We don't see each other very often, but I still consider her to be a good friend. Anyway I gotta get ready, Jackie will be calling soon, write later :)

I was feeling so sad cause no one had commented on any of my posts for the past month. I went in and checked my comments and for some reason I had to approve them before they got published. Now there are a wack of comments and I don't feel neglected!! :) I haven't read any of them yet, but still just to know they are there is great. I'll read all of them after this post. I don't know why I needed to approve them first, I've never had to do that before, I'll keep checking to see if I need to in the future. I work, so I gotta get ready...but keep the comments coming!! :)

I figured I'd write a quick post, just cause it's been almost a week. I got my women and law critical analysis back the other day, I got an A-!! I handed in my participant observation for my research methods today, hope I did alright on it, but she is so weird in her marking I never know what to expect. Today I'm going to work on my seminar poster that I have to do. I was going to do it on working hazards of farmers working with herbicides and pesticides, but there was absolutely no information or articles written on it, so after searching for two hours, I emailed my professor and asked her if I could change my tpoic, possibly to do witht the labelling of GMO foods (which I had all the research for cause that was my part of the work in my groups seminar). She emailed me back and said that was a good topic and gave me some hints on how to make that topic work for the assignment. I only have 1 week of school left!! I have this poster due on Monday, a women and law assignment due next Friday and my crim theory final assignment due next Monday. Then I work, write a take home exam for women and law and write my research methods exam and I'll be done. My group did our presentation for my Gender Studies class on Tuesday, it went well and I was glad to have it finished. I was walking home from school this afternoon and I seen a girl from my class, we stopped and said hi to each other and she told me that her and her friends sit in the back row of the class, and she didn't get to tell me on Tuesday, but they all thought I'd done a really great job at presenting my part and it was obvious that I had put alot of work into the project. That made my day!! I was smiling the whole way home! :) I skipped that class this morning to sleep in. So, I didn't get a chance to see her present. Well I gotta get some work done on my project....write later....:0)

Last night, while Sam and I were laying in bed, I made a suggestion to him. I'm not to keen on him buying a whole other computer just for his game (as noted before in previous blogs), and so I suggested to him that he could just upgrade mine (he wants a better video card and something else). He was shocked to hear that this was an option. I told him it was pretty silly to buy a new computer when I'll be graduating and won't be using it as much, but he had it in his mind that he was going to get a bigger, better, and faster computer so it never even occurred to him to ask me if he could upgrade mine. Silly man! :) I'm kinda protective of my computer and don't like to download stuff and when his computer buddy was over saying that my computer wasn't any good, I wasn't impressed. I told Sam last night, that I don't play video games on the computer so I wasn't to concerned with buying super duper video cards. Anyway he just go thome and he wants to check to see if I have ddr Ram or SD RAM. The whole point for this post was to mention that mom and I decided that her and Richard are not going to give me half of drivers ed anymore, mom likes to buy present and I'm not sure when I'm going to take it in the new year, so I'd end up spending the money on something else anyway. That's alright though cause I'm just taking it with the cheapest driving school and it's only $499 taxes included. That's for everything too. 28 hours in class, 11 hours driving, and they schedule your driving test and take care of any costs and provide you with a car to drive for the test, not to shabby in my opinion. :) AND I'm pretty sure it's offered next door at the high school, so I won't have far to go for classes and stuff. Anywhoo gotta run, write later..:)

I've been so busy this week I haven't been able to post. Sunday Mom and Susan came up to Freddy to see me. We went to the mall and got some of my x-mas shopping done. It was really nice. Mom bought me a couple of really nice bras and underwear from La Senza and a pair of winter boots at Walmart. We also found a pair of boots that we all ended up liking and inevitable each of us bought a pair. They are knee high black boots that zippper, but also lace up the front. I had bought a pair a long time ago, but they didn't have laces in the front and felt to big. These ones I can make as tight or as loose as I please. We also went into fairweathers and found some nice dressy tank tops for $6 each!! They're really nice, I'm in need of some new ones. Sam is pretty much done. I bought him a package of socks yesterday and I just seen Jamie (guy downstairs) and asked him where he had gotten his dress pants, they were nice. He told me that he bought them at Walmart, but also told me that Sears is having a huge sale on mens dress pants and sweaters as well. He said he had gotten a couple of pairs for $14.95! I think I'll go there and pick up Sam a couple of pairs of pants. And then I'll be done him.... I was checking out my schedule for next term...I dropped both classes with Marilee Reimer (heard really bad things about her) and picked up another two. I picked up sociology of religion (yeah I know) with Sylvia Hale (who I have now and don't mind) and and intro to gerontology with Linda Cassie (who I've heard good things about). My schedule is pretty decent next term. Monday, Wednesday, Friday my classes don't start until 12:30pm and on Tuesday and Thursday my one class starts at 10am. That is the same starting times as this semester. Monday I worked on my book review for my seminar class and read some theory stuff and answered questions. We have a midterm on Friday, but I'm not to worried, he is a fair marker and his questions are reasonable. Yesterday I slept in and didn't go to my Gender Studies class, I'm sure I didn't miss much, it is such a stupid class. Everytime I leave that class I think "there's an hour and twenty minutes of my life I'll never get back, what a waste!" Last night Sam and I were talking about moving and he asked me "who's going to drive the truck when we move?" I told him that I would have my license aby then taking drivers ed soon) and I would. He laughed at me and said "they're tricky to drive." I'm taking a drivers education course and he's never seen me drive, yet he's already doubting my driving skills!! AND we're moving in the summer, when there isn't much traffic in the city. He told me he thought we would get one of our dads to drive all the way up here to drive us around for the day! I'll have my license!! Grrr...... Oh well we'll just have to drive some time together so that he can see that I'm a decent driver. (I have been out driving a couple of times with Richard-I'm not just assuming that I can drive). Road trip!! hehe. Maybe after I get my license we can go for a weekend to PEI or N.S, we had a lot of fun when we went to PEI last time. I think this Christmas will be a good one. Sam and I have our own Christmas tree this year. We bought it when there was a huge blow out sale on all the Christmas stuff last year. Anyway I think I'm going to go make something to eat and watch the Tyra Banks show...I never thought the day would come when I'd ever say that...hehe....chaio!
